How many points do we really see us amd our rivals getting? I personally think.

Arsenal remaining fixtures:

West Ham (H) Crystal Palace (A) Middlesborough (A) Sunderland (H) Southampton Leicester (H) Spurs (A) Man U (H) Stoke (A) Everton (H)

I reckon - WDWWWDLDWW - 21/ 30 - 72 Points.

Not going to lie, that's generous in my opinion. Got some tough away games and play relegation threatened teams.

That would mean liverpool would need 14 points from last 8 games, City need 15 from 9 games to reach 73 points

I know we don't like doom and gloom or moaning on this page. but surely top 4 is over?

Liverpool and City are both averaging 2pts per game meaning should they continue as they have all season they will end up on 76pts meaning we would need to increase our points per game average up from 1.8 currently to 2.7 per game for the rest of the season which is way above Chelsea's 2.3 average over this season so far.
I'd say it's extremely likely we will be playing our European football on a Thursday next season.

Yes the top four is over.

Top four finished a few weeks back.

Its not a bad thing anyway. It'll cause change which is needed.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 22:58:58
I'm not sure it will bring about the change that's needed Derby mate but it might, my guess is only the change will be we will sign players in an attempt to try and take the sting plug of losing Sanchez and Ozil but not enough of them or the quality to make a big enough difference to bring about any real change in our competitiveness in the title race.
I could be wrong of course.

04 Apr 2017 08:44:13
I know it is a shame, but I think we could do well in the Europa league next season. It might add a bit of confidence to the team. The Champions League always causes us problems around Feb. It might help us modify our game as well, because top 4 is no longer a guarantee.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2017 10:22:28
Gunner sanchez is going even if we get top4 and I suspect ozil wants bayern to make a move. And im willing to accept a few tough years if it means stan gets annoyed and moves on. Of course it may not pan out like that but in just bored of him and the way things are. So im willing to role the dice mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2017 12:41:42
Europa league is not a place we want to be in just ask Spurs it kills your team playing thurs/ sun traveling to back end of Europe . If it happens we should play the youth and concentrate on winning the league assuming Chelsea win that will be two years in row champions have had no European football . I'd like us to drop out all together and re group Thursday night football is a laughing stock all round πŸ‘Ž.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2017 16:47:36
CG the thing about the europa league at this time of the year is its a chance to get champs league football if you fail top four like man u. Not bulling it up just pointing out.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 17:11:33
Right I will put this another way. If I agreed with some of you that the players are at fault not wengers. Why should I trust wenger to go out and buy players in the future that won't turn out the same. Because I cant.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Apr 2017 18:33:08
A manager is responsible for his players performances the team's results and where his team finishes in the table each season, this is the gauge by which all managers all over the world are judged and always have been judged in the history of the game and mostly likely the method that will be used to gauge all managers in the future for as long as the game continues to be played.
Arsene is the only exception to this rule i can think of, can anyone think of any others?

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 18:51:06
Gunner I will get back too you when I think of one. Lol.

03 Apr 2017 19:01:34
Spot on you two

Wenger chooses the players the buck stops with him.

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Apr 2017 19:20:24
Well it's been nice knowing you Steve but if your not coming back until you think of one then alas I don't think we are going to see you again mate :-)
Hey mate i still think there is very strong support for more of the same from many Arsenal fans who don't think anyone can make Arsenal competitive if Arsene can't, i just can't buy into the fact that that Arsenal football club isn't capable of a title challenge anymore, it maybe true but i just can't see why.

Hey up steve, 62 has finished work lol! How was it! Long day at the office mate πŸ˜†.

It was as it happens Sanogo mate :-)
Had that Monday feeling all day and found it difficult to get into my job at all today mate, i now understand how the Arsenal players can be so awful at their job at times, I'm just not sure my boss is going to be so understanding and find excuses for me in the morning when he sees my results from today :- ( tomorrow is going to be a massive game for me :-)
In Arsenal terms i had a right Bayern Munich of a day :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 21:09:56
Well g62, if your in a job next week, steve won't have to think of another boss who sticks by his slackers lol. Or if you're there and he's not lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 21:37:28
On current form I'm looking likely to be let go when the window opens Sanogo and I've been feeling a draft all day mate :- ( plus i most definitely heard what sounded extremely like a very large lady clearing her throat on more than one occasion during the day mate.

03 Apr 2017 21:52:11
Unfortunately Steve my days of being able turn a game with a few short bursts of brilliance are getting further and further apart, I need the full 90 minutes to make any kind of impact these days mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 21:59:02
Is that 90 minutes a day or week.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 22:21:48

03 Apr 2017 13:45:18
Steve have to say you do like a moan and some of your points are just so extremely ridiculous. Your opinion on the manager you've stated although you fail to realise the board will in fact just bring in a less experienced yes man. but your points about bellerin yesterday were terrible, hinting that he can only play in Spain and doesn't enjoy defending because he's had a bad spell? He's a young lad who's broke into a demanding position on the field in modern day football and been a key player for us. I just feel you moan for moans sake if it's really that bad mate just don't put yourself through it. Appreciate what we have watched a video on Leyton orient just down the road going bust mimicking what they called the embarrassing sulking Arsenal fans. Puts it into perspective really. A new manager won't solve the issues we face over the next ten games. Now I might be going do lally but some stuff just seems posted for negative sake.

Believable8 Unbelievable2

03 Apr 2017 14:45:22
He loves a moan old Steve does and then slates every post in here.

Agree1 Disagree1

03 Apr 2017 14:44:23
That's our steve, dolally. He wakes up moans then has breakfast and moans some more, has a little afternoon moan then a hearty three course moan for tea. Just before bed he will have a nice relaxing bath and when he worries himself daft about actually been in a calm relaxed state he promptly slaps him self round the face and has a good before bedtime moan, so he can have a good nights sleep after realising that he might have depressed a few fellow gooners and his holy crusade for the day is over. He wakes up and rinse and repeat.

But that been said that's we we love about our steve because we all can be rest assured that there is one certain gooner out there that's more miserable than any other.

Don't change for anyone steve πŸ˜‚.

Spot on Lads. When the Chelsea team had made up there mind that JM was on his way out and GH was only going to be a temp manager they switched off for the remainder of the season. They didn't play for the shirt on there awful fans. The same is happening with us. The board need to resolve the management issue (doesn't mean AW has to go) asap. In the meantime and in particular against Spurs the players have to show some pride and guts!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 16:43:18
Dollally my point about bellerin wasnt a moan at all. I don't think his talent is suited to the premiership. For his and arsenals sake he would be better of plying his trade in his own countries league that would suit him far better and could be a win win for everyone. And saying I moan is just stating the obvious, you either like what I say or dont, it doesn't bother me one bit. I've always said there is nothing wrong with a good moan when there's something to moan about. I think there is quite a bit of moaning going on around this club at the moment. I also think you could interpret 90% of the post on here are a moan of some sort. I reply to post and people reply to mine we all have a view. I also try and bring a bit of fun to the site as well but just ignore that. Lol.

Sano I can't believe someone called me a moaner, i'm deeply hurt. I thought my posts were positive and thought provoking. Hey ho.

03 Apr 2017 16:52:20
Jelfy do I really slate every post on here or do I just slate as you put the one I don't agree with. If you don't agree with someone is that slating or is it a different opinion. I know what I think.

Iam on here once in a blue moon then read as much as I can, but what I have noticed is when someone writes a post you never agree and won't have any of it, but when someone disagrees with you all hell breaks loose and you have a go at them, it's either your way or no way or your just a key pad warrior.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 17:06:25
And your last post sums it all up.

03 Apr 2017 17:42:29
Jelfy you are obviously having a bad day and you don't like people who have a different opinion to you. You don't agree with anything I say, no problem. don't blame you.

In Wenger we trust now I really hope he signs a new deal.

Agree2 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 10:31:26
We have reached a stage in the season when all we can do is rely on other teams to fail and stop Spurs winning the prem. My guess is our lazy, gutless players won't turn up for that match either. Stop making our manager the problem and start looking at the players!

Believable5 Unbelievable0

03 Apr 2017 11:54:45
Who picks the players, who buys the players, who sets the players up, who coaches the players, who motivates the player, who trusts the players and who manages the players. Because he wants sacking then.

Agree2 Disagree2

03 Apr 2017 13:44:54
There is some truth in the AW rant but the players not the manager are the people who give no effort! We will get stuffed at WHL because of the players not just AW.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 14:46:29
It's the players on the pitch if you can't see that get new bins and stop moaning because it's getting old.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 14:59:48
This argument about "who buys the players, who coaches them, who motivates them" is utterly silly. Of course Wenger and his team do all that; it's no secret. However, once those players are on the pitch, one would think that they'd have a little integrity and play their socks off for a manager who always backs them no matter how utterly rubbish they perform.

My view is perhaps Wenger is a little too protective and this has bred complacency in players, but I do not for a minute believe he sends them onto the pitch without a plan and without proper motivation. Once they are on the pitch, those 11 individuals need to perform and unfortunately for Wenger, they don't and the poor man just seems to soak up the abuse.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 16:11:55
Rsharpe. Leicester and raneri. Chelsea and jose. Many more. Players do stop playing unfortunately and normally there's only one out come.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 16:49:29
Its wenger team when he wins, why isn't it his when they dont. I don't get it. Why do managers get sacked for not meeting expectation and why do they get awards when they do. its their team that they have put together.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Apr 2017 16:55:42
The truth is if the players aren't trying as people are saying then the reason has to be the players not trying for the manager. that's when it becomes important that it is resolved.

Should have mentioned that Reyes red card was at the cup final not at old trafford when he got kicked round the pitch.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Reyes got kicked black and blue at old trafford but had the last laugh when he brought down Scholes and earned himself a red card in the process good performance by some of the lads yesterday but still Monsieur Wenger keeps us waiting.
