We all want big changes and to spend 200m on big players plus a good few changes but squad harmonisation and limited budget will hinder us

Sounds like we missed out on Mbappe last season - huge shame

Hopefully we extend contracts for ox, Ozil and Sanchez - that would be a huge start as any Ozil or Sanchez replacement would be a downgrade.

Will we blow almost all our budget on Mbappe ?? That's a huge risk

Agree with Derby - Mahrez is a downgrade on Ozil or Sanchez but may be okay to replace Theo if money is south of 20m

To be honest SY as long as we go into the new season with any purchases on board that do come I'll be pretty happy.

Starting last season with Chambers and Holding wasn't great. So let's get it done early and start as we finished last season.

We don't have any major tournaments to cause a problem.

If mahrez is replacing theo then great. The money argument is annoying as we have usmanov waiting. let's face it he likes the excuse of money to be used.
Id like to see us sign a battling midfielder someone who takes no prisoners like the roma Belgium lad. All in all i'm glad we have a different challange to last year aka europa.

To be fair this is no different talk to what we've heard a 1000 times over from Arsene and we will hear a lot more of it too over the next few months.
It's not about how much you spend it's about how well you spend it, always has been always will be.
Two seasons back Kante cost 5m and Di Maria cost united 60 mil, then last summer Kante cost 30 mil and Xhaka 34 mil, Kante was a bargain at both 5 million and 30 million because he played a huge part in two title wins while Di Maria was and Xhaka currently looks like highly expensive mix judgements.
But talk as always is cheap which probably explains why Arsene uses it in abundance :-)

I'm with you Derby, I'm pretty excited about the Europa league, it's got to be better to challenge in the Europa and than simply make up the numbers in the Champions league.
It's different for Spurs Liverpool and Utd as they have been out of the champions league for a while so the prospect of facing Europe's elite is exciting for them, but for us how many consecutive seasons of last 16 exit was it?
Change will be a positive thing for a while at least and if and when we do return to the champions league it will be with a fresh start, missing out will do is more good than harm long term imo.

A europa win would do us the world of good. i'd take it over 2,3,4th place. Aslong as you build on it. i'm with you 62 at the moment it all sounds very familiar. The end of the season teams beached seems to of given him hope for some reason. i'd take Thomas lemar over mahrez btw lads.

Personally I think 50 million is way to much for a player who had one fantastic season two years ago.
Last season he looked average and before they no one had heard of him so I'd say 20 million max for a player who as we stand is a one season wonder.

Last season, I would have took him for 30 mil, wouldn't touch him this season after the way he's performed at everything. For me worth no more than 15 mil. The bigger teams will steer clear.

Strangely, I find myself agreeing with Steve. 15 mil at best is what he's worth based on his last season. However, I wouldn't like to see him in an Arsenal shirt.

Not good enough same as lemar and turan we need people to improve our team Walcott scored more of the bench than some of these not saykngbhes the answer but we need better, personllay I think we need a world class striker world class winger and another world class cm then let's challenge for the title.

Like Jelfy says, target a much better striker. Whilst Wenger said in his BEIN sports interview yesterday that he hasn't bid on Mahrez yet I hope he doesn't bother.

In the same interview he said neither Sanchez nor Ozil were leaving but added unless they really want to.

Not at 50Million no. Mahrez has yet to prove himself consistently to be worth that kind of value. 20-25mill is more the ball pack figure I would say for him. I think we can spend our money more wisely. Keeping Sanchez is a must for me, even it means losing Ozil to afford his wages.
