That was the best bit of football of the year. That’s how you beat city. that's how a team plays and that’s how a crowd plays. Happy ed01.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - happy is an understatement! I will still be buzzing when the derby kicks off at the weekend!}

04 Apr 2018 22:05:33
You've had worse days Rodders 001 mate ;-)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - one or two worse. It is not quite 2005 like but I will take it.}

04 Apr 2018 22:16:27
So would i mate, very gladly.
Very exciting times at Liverpool right now built on much much of a solid base than with the 2013/ 14 bubble season.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - and with a much better manager too.}

04 Apr 2018 22:27:06
Hence the more solid base mate, Salah is obviously a very important player but this Liverpool is not anywhere near as Salah dependent as the 2013/ 14 side were Suarez dependant.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I would say Firmino is actually more important to the team myself. Not by much though. Last season it looked like Mane was the key player, at times this season he still has been. And Ox can produce a goal when it is needed as well.}

04 Apr 2018 22:47:31
You can’t underestimate klopp in this factor. Also Liverpool and anfield are one of those teams. I have the same feeling when united won it both times and Liverpool last time (CL I mean) I really thunk livepool can win it.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Apr 2018 23:09:18
Continho was Liverpools latest Superstar player but under Klopp no one has even noticed he's not there anymore, which I think says a lot about the manager.
If Salah or any individual was to go this Liverpool would progress without them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - Please don’t put it out to the universe about Salah leaving Gunner. Your gonna give me kittens.

04 Apr 2018 23:52:14
Don't worry Ed0333 he just ain't that type in my opinion mate.
He will get offers obviously but I think he's the type to actually want to be part of making it happen rather than simply being a continuation of something that's already up and running well without him.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - from your mouth to God’s ears Gunner because the Egyptian king is simply irreplaceable.

04 Apr 2018 22:44:46
Just goes to show how good Liverpool are that they don't miss Coutinho.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Coutin who?}

05 Apr 2018 06:37:45
Well played Liverpool best team by far on the night and look how good is is doing under a better manager.

04 Apr 2018 20:18:54
Jeez, Liverpool can rip any team apart.

High press, high intensity.

Liverpool will never win anything parking the bus like that! 😂😂.

And I’m buzzing because it shows that money still can’t buy it. A few good appointments bingo we’re in 👍🏻.

A keeper and another CB next to Van Dijk and that’ll be a great start as they have Keita coming already.

Chamberlain has just scored an absolute belter to put Liverpool 2-0 up against City in the Champions League quarter finals. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

At Liverpool, playing regularly, playing regularly in midfield and being first chioce in Liverpools biggest game for years.
The lad made the only chioce open to him and if he was still with us he'd most probably be a sub for tomorrow nights game or at right or left wing back at best.

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Apr 2018 21:41:22
If you’d watched every game where he’s played for Liverpool since his move you wouldn’t be clamouring for us to sign him.

Whilst he’s shown flashes of good play like he did now and then for us he’s still not the player he threatened to be with us.

Maybe next year will show if he can really step up.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Apr 2018 22:03:11
But he is a regular in the second best team in England's midfield Stoner mate and playing in a champions league quater final for the first time ever.
Impossible to argue leaving Arsenal for Liverpool has been anything but a positive move for the Ox mate.

He's playing the most football he's ever played in the position he's always wanted to play in and felft was his best and he's playing at the highest standard he's been allowed to play at so far.

When he left I thought he had to go because he was never going to get the chance in our midfield he deserved despite our midfield being the weakest we've had for years.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Apr 2018 22:22:23
Don’t disagree with him making the best choice for him and playing more regularly in a position he likes either or how good the team are.

He’s just, as he was for us, nothing special mate.

Let’s see how he shapes up next year though. 😁.

Really sad to hear this news.
Never met Ray Wilkins but so many people are talking about him as a very kind humble man every bit as much as being an excellent player and that's always the way he came across to me.

been reading on and off for many many years, post occasionally and I thoroughly enjoy the fan perspective and all the eds who give their insight and some of the eds who give us information tabloids would drool over.

much ado thanks to you all for making this site interesting across all pages.

lets hope the end of the season is somewhat fruitful for us gooners. regardless i'm looking forward to the world cup. can't believe its every 4 years. 1990 was my first world cup age 5.7 bloody world cups. looking forward to no8 and I maybe in Russia, got hospitality tickets, but not sure how serious the risk to travel there is, as a man with a tan I was advised by a friend who is from st Petersburg that its not ideal. anyone travelling from here?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - you would be well advised to speak to the consulate before you consider going.}

04 Apr 2018 11:07:07
Mate watch it at home or down the pub but don't go to Russia it's just not worth it.
It's a very different country with very different attitudes and ways before you even add the football element to the equation, Euro 2016 told me that no England fan should take a chance at Russia 2018.
Russian leaders aren't bothered what the rest of the world thinks of them or thier country public and world opinion will count for nothing and hold no sway at this world cup which makes it even less appealing still.
Russia will simply deny any problems before during and after the world cup.

You have swallowed the bait hook line and sinker with the anti Russia propaganda haven’t you G62. If your part of traveling England fans who want to have a scap then I’d say go because you will certainly get one. If you want to go and enjoy the football and your a adult with a normal amount of wits about you then I’m sure you will be fine. Ultras are looking for ultras not family’s and moderate enjoying football . I can’t give advice specifically for you though lakerville as I don’t know what the Russians feel about tans mate. Ed’s advice is the one to take for that.

to be fair I did travel along time ago well 11 years ago on the trans Siberian and it was amazing, I understand the situation has changed, although I did have a lot of people just stop and look at me like I was an alien, further east I went, girls were friendly though ;)

yea I understand the situation has changed and I really want to see a world cup live, never been to one. not even the euros, now that I can somewhat afford it was thinking of doing it.

to those I have spoken to have told me not to travel, I am considering not going but i'm not sure i'd survive Doha 2022 in the heat :)

Yea I wanted to know if anyone is going. right now its jack jones and that scenario will be a definite NO.

If you have the opertunity to go and you can find some like minded easy going people then I say do it. Everyone has danger radar and as long as your responsible with the booze I’m sure you will have a great time.

Sanogo we can all only offer our true opinion mate, if one of my family asked the same question as Larker that's what my answer would be.
Propaganda I'm sure there is plenty of that flying around but there is also real risks too mate and its a brave man that decides to ignore those risks and an even braver one who advises others to ignore them.
Each person has to weight up what they personally have to gain and potentially lose from their decision.

A friend of mine, who is a football watching family man went to France 2016 and inadvertently got caught up and trapped in street battle with Russian hooligans. He says if it wasn't for a stroke of luck, where he escaped and hid over a garden wall, he thinks he would have been seriously injured in the fighting. The Russian hooligans in their own country fuelled by the political situation as an excuse, could cause mayhem. While 95% of the time i think it will be safe, their will always be the 5% that isn't.

So Spurs are taking a brave new step into the unknown next season at their new stadium, it could elevate them into real contenders or see them fall flat on their faces back into the europa league but which ever way it goes for Spurs they are trying to improve themselves.
We will hear a lot about their new stadium next season as it plays hosts to the likes of Barcelona Real Bayern Juventius or PSG.

While they are doing all this?
Do we really want to simply go through the motions one more time for old times sake?
Does anyone really have the heart the energy or any enthusiasm for one last waltz with the sound of our nearest neighbours doing the lambada ringing in our ears?

Did you see that there most expensive season ticket is a mind boggling £18,000 and no I didn’t add an extra zero by accident.

62 odd as it may seem I truthfully couldn’t give a monkeys what the spuds do or who plays in their new stadium. Never have, never will.

Good luck to them with it all though, they’ve had the guts to do it, now just got to make it stick.
