Just watched Jack on motd 2 and it looks like he's totally unfit struggling to join in attacks and get back and help out defensively too.
Yes he helped out with one of Bournemouth's goals but mostly he seemed to be playing 20 yards either side of the half way line, I'm not sure if these are his instructions from his manager but he just looked very immobile to me.
Thoughts from anyone who saw the game or highlights?

I must admit, was watching MOTD with my Son, and with about 20 minutes to go I said "Is Wilshire playing? "

{Ed007's Note - What do you think he'd say about his dad not being able to spell Wilshere's name though? ;-)

Talking of sons I had a really awkward moment when mine asked me what a dick was.

Thankfully Mourinho was giving his post match interview at the time. Phew. πŸ˜‰.

In answer to your question though 62 I couldn't agree more, it's almost embarrassing watching him.

I've stuck up for him on numerous occasions but if someone said we were looking to buy him we'd all think it was another Johnny Evans type rumour.

Pleased you boys agree because I don't want to sound like I'm just having a go at Jack for the sake of it, I was totally shocked by how slow and inactive he was.
If he'd put in that performance in an Arsenal shirt the only person who would be pleased would be Jenks as as he would deffinately have got a week off from any stick.

I watched the game and he defiantly doesn't do those little jinking runs anymore but I wonder if he's had a little think and injuries might be in his mind. He is defiantly less scrappy.

{Ed033's Note - definitely :)

Red dog that reminds me of my own awkward moment with my son when he came home and said some of the children at his school had been talking about the birds and the bees and he wanted to know what they meant. Luckily I managed to deflect the question by telling him just to ask the other teachers during his next staff meeting.

Its a long way back for utd into the champions league places, even if one of the top 4 slip up Spurs are first inline way before utd.

Well, not so much nasty November.

More like, let's draw most of our games November.

Still, it's an improvement :-)

I vaguely remember reading a while ago that all teams experience a dip in form, often due to injuries and fitness issues on the body. How this dip is managed and where it appears are a result of different trainging styles etc.

This may not be true now with more advanced methods as the book was from the 90's, but I'd figure November is our most obvious struggle period and we managed through it well I'd say. How others manage theirs and how we exploit our peak periods will show at the end of the season.

2 should win home games and 2 very difficult away games left in the premier league for us this year, 10 points from that little lot would be a fantastic return but 8 or better would be acceptable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Dec 2016 21:56:15
I can't us taking less than 8 points from these next 4 PL games. I think we'll get 10 but I think that 12 is very manageable too. City's defensive problems coupled with no Aguero makes me quietly confident about the City game.

All 6 points against Everton and Stoke. I think we'll get 4 points from the WBA and City games.

On the whole not a bad weekend at all for us, obviously it's still all very tight at the top in terms of the title and top 4 battles but every week you don't drop points and some of those around you do it's got to be good news.

A Liverpool fan walks into a travel agents and says, "I'm looking for a small break away in England for the Christmas period, but I don't know where to go? " The travel agent says, "You can't beat Bournemouth this time of year. ":)

Funny enough, I just saw Jurgen Klopp driving a brand new Range Rover Discovery and thought to myself "he should have bought a defender".

Thanks Happy mate, this season has been a tough one for you boys so far but I think you will be fine and things will improve dramatically in the new year mate.
First year in a new stadium plus trying repeat and build on last season achievements, expectations were understandably high but as Leicester are finding its always more difficult to repeat success than it is to get it first time round.

Sanchez the one man battering ram. Great three points, where would we be without sanchez. He makes the rest of the team look average, does the work of two or three players. West ham are in trouble though, it sounds silly but we made hard work of 5-1, could have been double figures with a bit more quality. Still we need to keep winning the easy games. Caz and bellerin needed back though and probably welbeck too. All the people on here might realise what I have been banging on about with giroud, he could not do what sanchez can do, donkeys and race horses come to mind. Both do jobs but one does it at a different level.

Good post Steve.

Bit unfair on Giroud though, especially comparing him with SΓ‘nchez. Not many can compare with him and Olli offers us something different.

I would ask where would City be without Aguero or Chelsea without Costa and where are Leicester without Kante.

All clubs have a star player and Sanchez is ours, we must endeavour to keep him at all costs.

When he shines so brightly it's going to make others look dimmer. We do appear, aside from him, to be playing in 3rd or 4th gear as far as attacking players go.

Defensively, despite changes, we are still looking solid.

Cazorla and Welbeck will and are being missed and others will have to up their games even more.

It would be great to see this team playing to true form but many could say that. Wenger needs to manage to his old best to keep momentum going and protect the vital players when he can.

There is a long way to go.

Sanchez is outstandingly brilliant and we are very lucky to have him in an Arsenal shirt but I we cold also ask this question, where would Sanchez be without Ozil and others supplying him with the ball or Le Coq making interceptions that quickly turn defence into attack.
There is little doubt Sanchez would be outstanding where ever he played but I don't think he'd be quite as prolific at Sunderland Middlesbrough or Watford as he is at Arsenal.
I'm talking nothing away from Sanchez at all who I think is an absolutely brilliant example to all those who aspire to be the best they can be.

04 Dec 2016 11:26:34
Dags giroud is one of the players I have said is not good enough to win us the title, I think sanchez is proving that right in spades. he's a good option of the bench and that is all.

Agree1 Disagree1

04 Dec 2016 11:54:31
I think last season most of us reluctantly finally accepted that Olly was never going to win us a title up top on his own as much as we all like him and want him to be a success with us.
Sanchez is our Aguero now all we need to do is find a Sanchez to replace Sanchez with :-)

Agree3 Disagree0

04 Dec 2016 15:36:07
We need to sign his unborn son.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Dec 2016 15:44:53
62, you are right. My issue was finding someone good enough to let us bench Giroud. He's far from a donkey and has a lot to offer us and France. Great to have a player of that standing as a plan B. Shows the quality of the quad Wenger has nurtured and invested in.
Sanchez is special but he needs the likes of Ozil to create chances, make space and keep the side ticking over. Ozil needs wingers and wing backs to feed and also Coq to shore up the midfield while also remove the pressure of misses due to a stronger defence.
Funny thing is - > Ozil is missing Giroud from an assist count perspective as he puts great crosses in that historically Giroud has finished off.
In the new set up - Ozil will probably notch up less assists but have a bigger impact on the side than last year due to goals and build up play.

Agree0 Disagree2

05 Dec 2016 01:21:39
Sy ozil and giroud were never in sync. We only miss giroud at defending set pieces. We look like we play in quick sand when giroud plays.
