Something I have noticed the last few games and especially yesterday. There seems a lot more togetherness. When we score it's good to see the team looking more like a team. Not saying it was all down to Alexis but they all seemed a lot happier and more of a team since this was sorted.

Can't remember who, but when Sanchez left, one of the player's posted that there was a lot more harmony in the dressing room.

16 - very true. Almost entire team celebrated the goals.

Great to see.

It is great to see. Not saying it's all down to Alexis but does seem a lot of negativity has gone for now.

Dags it was Elneny who posted it. I completely agree with you guys.

Were Liverpool robbed by the linesman? I've never seen a linesman have so much to say in a game.

Very dubious stuff but a draw isn't too bad for us.

Best result for us.

04 Feb 2018 18:56:14
A draw is good for us, if we do the first part, next week.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 19:14:37
We have to better Liverpool by half a point per game between now and the end of the season, oh plus dramatically improve our goal difference along the way too. Possible but extremely difficult,

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 19:21:35
Gunner, Liverpool play that way every game and champs league and fa cup, with their squad, it will be tough. I think, its more what we do, starting next week. If we lose, then we can forget the top 4.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 19:24:48
Top four next week is last chance saloon for top four. After that its EL only for CL football next season. We have to keep giving ourselves a chance, we play less top four games in run in than most.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 20:13:01
Sharpe I bet you wish Liverpool were robbed when you played them instead of getting hammered 4 nil. What bottle from Kane misses a pen then shows his class to fire the next in In injury time to make it 100 premier league.

04 Feb 2018 20:18:10
All I'm saying Steve mate is we have to at least equal what ever Liverpool do most weeks and on other occasions better it, at least 3 times not allowing for Goal difference.
Should we fail to beat Spurs we have to rely on Southampton holding Liverpool to at least a draw and even then it's 1 more game ticked off for us to make progress.
Our top 4 chances are as precarious as our defence from where I'm standing mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 20:34:19
Gunner if we don't beat spuds, we won't be getting 4th. If we do with the games left all the team above will take points off each other. Its then up to us to go on a run.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 20:36:44
Gunner there is chelski in the equation as well. We don't play them either but don't they have to play pool?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 20:52:47
I've already wrote off top 4.

Concentrate on Europa and The Coconut Cup.

Use the remaining 12 PL games as an experiment, play Auba and Laca in a 4-4-2, or Auba out wide, or Laca out wide.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 21:47:54
I'm with you 100% Dags, it's all about the Europa and cocacobana cup plus getting ourselves as ready as possible to improve next season as possible, anything more would be an unexpected bonus and be paper thin wallpaper that was used to covered up ever widening cracks by the club.

At first when we were about to sign PEA i, as most of us do, went to youtube to watch his goals. And i thought but most of these goals are tap ins, and then i saw this video:

Interesting listening to john cross about wenger and arsenal. He is right about the jekyl and hyde performances and the fact, not stregthening the defence could come back and bite him. Sanchez was blamed as well as other things but Swansea had nothing to do with sanchez. If we don't win the league cup and EL cup, that will be the end. If this team wants to play for wenger, then they will show it week after week. If they dont, they will carry on being Jekyll and hyde. They are either playing for themselves or they are playing for arsenal football club, last chance saloon now.

One of the things that I really like about PEA is how much he absolutely loves scoring goals, hopefully there won't be one but if and when our team implodes at Utd Chelsea City Liverpool or wherever and we find ourselves 5 nil behind with 5 minutes to go I get the feeling PEA will still be giving 100% in order to get himself on the score sheet.
Just the impression I get from him but I think his top priority is him scoring as many goals in as many games as possible and the team being successful too coming a close second.
Maybe I've got him wrong but it's just the impression I've got from him and I don't think it's a bad thing at all for the team to have a striker who is that hungry for goals whatever his motivation.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Feb 2018 11:46:08
Agree I think all top sides have that selfish striker in their side we want the forward that will shot on site and not look for another pass.

04 Feb 2018 11:48:58
I hope he can keep the balance and know when he’s going overboard. He looks like a fun guy to have around. I also like his confidence when asked if it was the first of many he said probably and like when other names have to come to the club they usually take pressure off themselves and distance themselves from comparisons. This guy says I wanna be the next Henry . He is going to score a lot of goals. Can’t stress enough how important that goal and performance was yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 15:16:31
i think lacca will get loads of goals to put them both upfront we will score loads.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 16:27:22
I would play them both Stephen but I don't think Arsene will
I'd have
PEA Laccazette down the middle
With Mesut Ramsey and the new Irish lad playing behind them and a back 5, teams walk through our midfield anyway so I'd ditch it and play a 5 5 formation and rely on the front 5 causing more problems for the opposition than our defence causes itself :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 18:29:14
Gunner, no midfield has to be better than xhaka. Genius.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 10:18:51
i would like to see lacca on the left with pea and miki as front 3 against spurs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Feb 2018 11:50:56
Pea on the left if anything. I think you send out the same team as yesterday and if need be sub iwobi and move auba out left and laca through the middle . Auba will score goals out wide. He was in that possition a lot yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 11:56:55
I would take out iwobi and xhaka and put in wilshire and elneny and have a front three. Yesterday was the day to put all four in not away to spuds.

04 Feb 2018 08:05:31
What was evident yesterday was that we sat deeper defensively and pulled Everton onto us, denying Everton space in behind us and the opportunity to get in behind them on the counter attack. This tactic can be more difficult at home, when teams often to the same to us, but away we can benefit from playing in this manner, particularly with the pace of Aubameyang and Lacazette, supplied by Mkhitaryan and Ozil.
Mkhitaryan is simply class and Aubameyang's movement, pace and finishing will cause opponents problems. I would still like to see a proper DM and a taller CB signed in the summer. Kolasinac looks devoid of confidence, as does Laczette in recent matches. Wenger appears to sign quality players and then disturb their confidence, which is rather odd. Anyway, well done to Wenger and the team for a top performance and result.

04 Feb 2018 11:40:25
I think you are right, lacca and kol look a shadow of the players that joined us at the beginning of this season. Lacca was bright and alert in the box and kol never got beat in the air or on the ground, both looked confident and wanted to get into the box. Now they both look shot. You can see they are good players but are not performing as they can. I suppose that can also be said of cech and mustaffi, they have slowly gone down hill after bright starts to their arsenal careers.

That Irish fella we have upfront is quality.
3 great assist's.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Feb 2018 00:45:17
Iwobi over 90 minutes isn't a premier league player but have got to say he had some good touches today and a hand in 3 of the 5 goals, good day his standards and lot better than his usual standard.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Feb 2018 07:59:09
What I liked about Iwobi yesterday was, particularly in the first half, he worked tirelessly and was helping defend when we lost possession. In the second half he eased off a bit and looks to lack stamina, which he needs to build on. He has natural talent and strength in abundance, but would improve with a coach that worked on his fitness and durability.

04 Feb 2018 09:37:33
Iwobi isn't Irish.
I'm talking about the Irish fella upfront who had 3 assists.

The lad has some talent but should be be learning on the job or be premier league ready in order to represent Arsenal?
Personally I think that is one of our major problems we have too many players who aren't premier league ready to ever challenge for big prizes, Xhaka and Iwobi are the two that stand out most as being passengers most of the time in almost every game.
To win titles the first thing you need is 11 players who play a significant part in almost every game and no team that carries 1 let alone 2 players very often is ever going to win anything over 38 games.
You don't need 11 great players to win or compete for a title but you do need 11 players who play a significant part and contribute towards the team for 90 minutes.
Leicester didn't have 11 great players that season but they certainly didn't carry any passengers along the way to winning the title.
Get Iwobi out on loan and either let Xhaka go or let him go out on loan too.
