Must be a smokescreen for a player we are truly after.

Rafa to be sacked by RM and replaced by ZZ.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal has no plans to recruit him Dags.}

04 Jan 2016 19:03:23
Thank God for that Ed002.

Ed,
Do you think it was down to player power (rumour has it him and CR7 didn't see eye to eye) .
They are fairly high in La Liga, so can't see it being that.
Maybe being kicked out of Copa due to eligible player?
Maybe they want Mourinho back?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, this has been on the cards for weeks. You noeed to forget the concept of "player power". The relationship with the club's hierarchy, the media and a number of the players was poor (and I am being polite). The results have not been good enough. The Copa is nothing to do with the manager - you need to read the rules - like at all other clubs, including Arsenal, responsibility rests with the Club Secretary. Mourinho is not interested - they have spoken with him. Zidane will take the role on a permanent basis.}

04 Jan 2016 19:10:12
Got the job because he said he will build team around bale. Madness.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Where do you get this stuff from?}

04 Jan 2016 19:21:40
It amazed me he even got the job in the first place to be honest, it has to be the best and worst job in football because despite the glamour you know you're getting sacked sooner rather than later.

What are you and 62 doing on the spuds page having a bit of banter between just the two of you.

I had to chuckle when I saw raver saying they were going to be the new Manchester United and I thought he wanted Spurs to play good football and have a nice new ground, not play sleep inducing pants in that ramshackle old shed known affectionately as Lego Land. ;-)

Dags there poor neighbours are ahead and it cuts to the core for Madrid.

Eds its just what he said at the meeting with the owner mate.

Zidane in. Hazard bid this summer then.

04 Jan 2016 20:11:49
Thanks Ed002.

Red dog, was just trying to tell Raver a few home truths :-)

Derby, that wouldn't surprise me.

People are raving about Ben chillwell. Looks like he will become an excellent left back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2016 18:31:31
I wish you would chill well with the amount of players you mention.

Just noticed that since joining us on 1st July 2013, Sanogoals has scored 2 in 36 games. One for us, one for Palace and he is yet to score for Ajax.

To release him when his loan ends or persevere?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2016 18:17:26
Don't forget the 4 goals in Emirates Cup mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 18:20:39
The guys terrible. Was good when he was 15 16 as he was huge. Men's league no.

04 Jan 2016 16:48:36
Joel Campbell has really lifted his game which has helped us through a tough stretch. I am not convinced he his a better option than Gnabry though, thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2016 17:23:58
Always a tough one to call.
We are recalling him back from West Brom, due to lack of game time, with Tony Pulis saying, "He is not at a level to play football".

We won't see him in an Arsenal shirt this season.
He will be loaned out to a Championship side.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 17:16:08
I love gnabry. Was long time injured. The loans been a waste of time. Maybe hel be loaned out to championship club? Or brought back to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 17:15:58
It's hard to say we haven't seen gnabry in some time, gnabry had some good games season before last and Joel has had some good games of late! I would have to go on current form and how they fit into the team and say Joel Campbell.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 18:18:37
Derby,
Are you just repeating what everybody else says today? Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 18:45:47
I guess that's it then. I remember Gnabry being very solid and explosive, probably the equal of the Ox, the last time he was healthy. Probably not the same player right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 21:36:23
Gnabry must have a bad attitude or must not be as good as we think., because if James hatchet mcclean can get in the team ahead of him there something wrong. watch mcclean for Ireland, like the rest of the team he works his socks off, but is a bit one dimensional. running down blind alley s.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 07:00:21
Campbell has an amazing attitude and has worked extremely hard, though I doubt he will ever be more than a squad player at Arsenal.
Gnabry is an amazing talent, but does he have the attitude to make it at Arsenal?
There is little to choose between the two at present, although, perhaps a 'Coquelin' effect could happen and ultimately he makes it. I suggest it might be better to keep him at the club, working with top professionals and playing the odd match, such as Saturday's FA Cup tie against Sunderland. I still believe he has the talent to make it.

Isn't anyone finiding this transfer window a little wierd. No one is talking about benzema nor higuain what's going on? Have we lost faith in getting our ultimate targets ;) )
Also I won't hold my breath for Aubameyang as I'm sure and god knows why that wenger will stick with our currant attack.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

1. It's the January window
2. It's Arsenal
3. The Eds have put the potentials up for weeks
4. as Arsenal fans we get ourselves all worked up about unrealistic situations.

Moe, The names Benzema and Higuain are banned on this site, lol.

And a massive welcome back to Growbun.
It's like when Thierry made his Arsenal comeback.
I'm emotional like that.
Welcome back mate.

04 Jan 2016 15:19:46
Grow mate, I'm aware of the eds work espacially ed 002 and I wasn't really asking ;) that was sarcasim mate as benzema and higuain romours escalate every window. ;)

No one predicted the El neny bid and him as a target. No one.

{Ed002's Note - He was a player that both Arsenal and West Ham looked at in 2014.}

04 Jan 2016 16:41:49

Just messing myself . I think the reality of the summer transfer window has left us firmly glued to the floor! And I think people are slowly getting used to the search function! Dags I'm glad to be back!

04 Jan 2016 18:21:16
Glad to have you back Grow.
And I'm loving the new you, complete with blank space between Grow and Bun, lol.

04 Jan 2016 20:23:09
Growbun, search function something I never used, I just can't be bothered with all the romours. They get your hopes up and than smash you to the ground and that is the defenition of "arsenal transfer romours" lol
So growbun mate definitely no hard feeling ;)

Well the rumours of aubameyang have already started, £42 million and he's ours has been touted. Now the likely hood is very slim but stranger things have happened in the January window, just imagine an attack of aubameyang sanchez and walcott! With ozil just behind them, he would get assist upon assist with that strike force. That would be the fastest attack in world football lol here's hoping!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - This is not new news - you perhaps need to search.}

04 Jan 2016 12:10:45
Are you copying me! Lol. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 13:38:38
Id pay it. If I was Dortmund I'd want 50mill.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 14:10:40
Now you're copying me Derby, what's going on here! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 15:26:28
Didn't see your post red dog sorry mate! I don't know why he doesn't go for him tbh, he's eligible for CL so him against Barcelona's high defensive line will be a walk in the park for him, ozil will just shout "Pierre run! " Then loft the ball over the top lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 16:01:11
New year new start it seems red dog. Take me back to 2015 lol.

Dortmund will sell surely. They may aswel sell him and get lacazette.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 16:06:13
Hey no worries Essex mate, it was tongue in cheek. Much as I'd love him here I don't believe it'll happen for a minute but I'm always up for a pleasant surprise. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 17:19:40
Dortmund's response to me says OK show me the cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 15:57:06
Reading between the lines Dortmund won't let go of there goal machine halfway through the season although like always money talks and that simply would not be arsenals style. It's just journalists taking a punt that he is a CL eligible player and we (the fans ) want a CF!

He would be ideal though.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 10:47:44
This site used to be manic in a transfer window where has everyone gone. Still recovering?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2016 11:21:47
Elneny - done (ish) deal.
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang - here's hopin'! He is a dream striker albeit a widgeon pricey.
Debuchy - oot!
Jenkinson - back in if his loan terms allow.

No basis for this other than rumour/ hope but does that kick things off a little Glendal?

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 11:38:36
The price for Aubameyang even if £50 million would be little compared to the return of service you'd hope for and if he was a massive hit and Barcelona or Madrid came looking his price would only be considerably more on resale.

It's whether all parties want the deal and I'm pretty sure Dortmund won't and don't have to sell, but money talks.

Sanchez, Aubameyang and Walcott up front would something for Ozil to play with. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 07:36:03
On The question of defenders, Laurent Koscienly is the best defender in the league. Also Per has his weak points but my god he has been class for us lately, we have a great defence when you add Bellerin and Nacho.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Jan 2016 15:20:39
Now we know why you want to be called positive :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 06:54:09
We ground out a hard earned win against Newcastle. I was concerned by the form of Oxlade. He seems a shadow of his former self and wondered what others thought? The match also confirmed my thoughts that Monreal can be a liability against better teams. He was run ragged by Sissoko, with everything coming down his side. I know fellow Arsenal fans are impressed by him and I like his attitude, but he is no Ashley Cole. Next season, I would like to see him replaced by a superior player and we can continue to use Gibbs as back up. During this window a copule of midfield players are needed in the defensive roles. Elneny appears to be on the way and I would like to see us make a huge effort to sign a second player of this type. It will be great to have Sanchez back, with the next three Premier League matches in mind.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

04 Jan 2016 07:21:15
Hes facing messi soon and will have Suarez running behind him and the rest of the defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 07:58:52
Its funny how we all see things differently because I think Monreal is having a great season and apart from Ozil I don't think anyone has out preformed him this season, Ox I absolutely love and at the start of the season I thought he should be in our best 11 but he's lost his confidence big style and needs to toughen up mentally and not let one poor game lead to another, cracking player.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 09:51:16
Monreal has been very steady. Some times on the day someone gets the better of your. Sissoko can run that's for sure.

Watching cech rush out to make a save was a joy to see. He's been immense and I can't get over the fact we have him.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 10:49:55
Me either Derby, our two most glaringly obvious wak positions since the invincibles have been a very reliable keeper and a real DM both of which we have now if Le Coq was fit of course, still think a prolific goal scorer would move us up another couple of notches though, we create so many real quality scoring chances that a very top striker would get ue 30+ goals no problem a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jan 2016 14:37:02
Your spot on 62. People like ospina etc now they see they were average

People like giroud but wait till a top striker comes in we will look back and go what were we doing.

Also mertersacker. If marquinhos is available I'd pay the 35mill. For me better than stones. And won't cost as much.
