Just had a look at today's photos
Spanner do you ever get mistaken for Plan B mate?
Not sure what you do for a living now but if you ever get fed up with it I hear there's good money in the celeb look alike game.

I'd post mine but there's not so much call for Mr bean look alike's as there used to be

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ha ha cheers mate, I am been called worst.

Actually a fan of plan b as well, might look into it. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

If plan b makes any more films and they have Mr bean in them we could be a double act mate! Either that or I learn to play the drums and saxophone

Agree0 Disagree0

Waq1 is on there too, lol

Feel we really missed the opportunity to win a trophy or two this year; With City, Chelsea, Utd and Spurs all changing managers. This summer there's no doubt Chelsea will buy a world class Striker and City will buy a top CB to partner Kompany.

I feel we need 5 Top players to compete next year. Sagna and Vermaelen will regretfully leave next season. Arteta is just awful, we have no width without Walcott and no alternatives to Giroud.

Btw. Saw an intersting swap deal on the web (Will 99% never happen) Would anyone trade Cazorla + £20m for Diego Costa? Have to say I would take that in a heartbeat. Feel With Ozil and Wilshere, Cazorla is surplus to demabd through the middle.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd snatch there hand off too Detroit.
You'd think this season was where Chelski and city might struggle and they will be stronger next season.
On the bright side so will we and Toure and Hazard will do we'll to be ever present next season as they have this and we might have Aaron for a whole season and Mesut firing on all cylinders.
Every cloud mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Definitely, Costa is a beast

Agree0 Disagree0

Next season it looks likely we will need:
1) A goalkeeper, as Fabianksi is likely to depart.
2) A RB, as Sagna is likely to leave.
3) 2 centre backs, as Vermaelen is likely to move and we need a 4th option
4) 2 defensive midfield players to replace the sluggish duo of Arteta & Flamini.
5) A wide left player
6) A top notch striker

This won't happen & we will fall behind the top dogs.
I would like to see:
1) Begovic as 1st choice
2) Michah Richards
3) CB's - I need to work out the best up & coming tall, athletic, dominant cb's
4) Pogba &?
5) RVP

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure we have "missed" any opportunity just yet. beat everton and we 2 wins from a cup

I had to laugh, Bendtner said he will leave Arsenal when his contract expires in the summer. As if he would be offered a new deal! He just has to decide whether to sign for Barca or Real!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bloke is an idiot, complaining that he is disappointed to be on the bench this season. really, prat

We need up to 6 players this summer(assuming sagna, podolski, fabianski, vermalaen are leaving)

What we all want to happen: Julio Cesar(1-2m), Micah Richards(10m), Ginter/Schaar(10m), Gundogan/pogba(25/40m), Draxler/reus(35m), Benzema/Van Persie(30m/12m).

What will probably happen: Experienced goalkeeper on free(0m), Corchia free(0m), Ginter/schaar/Hinterigger(10m) Mvila/Schneiderlin/no one(10-15m), Griezmann(20m), Morata/Batshuayi(15m/12m).

I would be happy with mixture of both: Goalkeeper for free (0m), Richards(8-10m, he can cover for cb as well) one of schaar/ginter, Hinterigger(10m), Gundogan (25m), Draxler (35m), Batshuyai(12m)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

"What we all want to happen"

Talk for yourself. Cesar is useless. Richards isn't worth £10m and is not that good either. Never heard of Ginter or Schaar. Pogba is awesome but never going to happen and there are better options to Gundogan. Reus would cost waaaay more, Draxler is nice and Benzema would be good.

We need a few in but mainly a RB if we don't offer Sagna what he deserves. A left winger and a pacy striker or two.

I personally would like Seamus Coleman at RB. Luke Shaw as Monreal is bad and gibbs is always injured.
Not sure who is available for left midfield but I wouldn't be opposed to a cheap Ben Arfa coming in as a squad player. Strikers - Aubameyang, Benzema and Costa are great options.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good list of players i'd like

Batshuyai-bendtner
Lescott-djourou
Gundagon-arteta
Griezman-podolski
Aurier-sagna
Caulker-vermaelen

Shezney
Aurier
Mertesacker
Koscielny
Gibbs

Gundagon
Ramsey
Ozil

Walcott
Griezman
Benzema

Subs
Lescott
Carzola
Wilshere
Giroud
Monreal
(Gk)
Chamberlain

Agree0 Disagree0

What we all want to happen. Van Persie??? I would say GK.CASILLAS RB.PISZCZEK CB.RICHARDS CM.GUNDAGON ST.REMY. We could do that for 50mil and I think that would make us a tittle winning team if the players you mentioned left!

Hello fellow gooners, this is my first post on here been reading for about a year so thought I would finally wade in with my own opinions!
Firstly the Mesut critics in recent weeks has been completely over the top, Grow up! As pointed out by a lot of people, his statistics speak for themselves. I agree, He is not playing well right now but other factors need to be taken into consideration e.g players around him, adapting his game, fans already getting on his back. I believe he will come good before the end of the season and put all the ridiculous critics in their place. These critics should concentrate on supporting the players wearing the shirt and representing our club instead of adding to the negativity that seems to surround arsenal in all sections of the media. As individuals we all contribute to the aura of the club.
Like most arsenal fans, I am baffled by the lack of transfer activity season after season, I mean I don’t expect Wenger to go and spend 200 mil every simmer but signing the players in positions where we are clearly lacking seems like the obvious thing to do. Especially if your expectations are to be the best team in England, if not Europe. For me we need a right back, a young centre back with bags of potential, a world class holding midfielder, a left winger and a world class striker. maybe two! We have needed these players for at least 2 years, you could even make a case for some of them being needed for 4 or 5 years! I don’t know exactly how much all of these players would cost but I imagine 150 million pounds would do it. This would be a one off investment and would take us to the next level, we would not need to invest anywhere near this money for at least 5 years if we can keep the squad together like other teams seem to manage as the squad is young.
Now this is me talking as a fan, but honestly will Arsene do it? I think deep down we all know it is never going to happen. Wenger is an arm of the board and will carry doing what the people that pay his wages want him to do, never going all out to win the league. Since we moved to the emirates we have made a profit of 15 million pounds on player transfers. That is amazing financial management but is that really giving back to the fans that pay some of the most expensive ticket prices in the world. This baffles me as surely football is about being the best you can be? If you look at all the big teams in Europe, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man utd, Bayern Munich, Juventus. they all spend where they need to every single summer to be the best team they can be. They have all won more than won trophy since we last one the FA cup. This makes me ask are the people running the club interested in being the best football team or are they interested in being the most well managed business? it seems clear to me. I love what Wenger has done for our club, in fact he is really all I have known, I vaguely remember George Graham and Bruce Rioch but Wenger to me is ARSENAL.
This season we had the best chance since 2008 to win the league, all fans were begging him to buy a striker to help Olivier up front in Jan, we needed it two summers ago! now olivier is knackered, low on confidence and we are relying on Sanogo who to me looks like a great player with lots of heart but he will be ready in 2 – 3 years. what is that about? We are one of the richest clubs in the world………. just go and buy a decent striker! other clubs can do it why can't we? we are now sitting 4 points behind Chelsea with momentum lost, I believe a better strike either in Jan or last summer would have got us those 4 points, probably more.
Now I don't mean to sound negative ( EVEN THOUGH I KNOW I AM COMING ACROSS AND GRANPA JO) but If Wenger is in charge I think as fans we need to adjust our expectations. Not because he is not capable as a manager but because he buys into the clubs vision of financial gain over success on the pitch. This will not change!
Our record speaks for itself over the last 8-9 years = 0 trophies but 200 milion in cash reserves!! Wooohhoooo that makes me tingle all over. This is the plan going forwards.
There have been 3-4 opportunities over the past 2 years to change people’s opinions about how we view the future for the club. but clearly the owner is in it for the money. CLEARLY! RVP left and we signed Giroud for gods sakes, I love the guy but in all honesty as a player he doesn’t have anything van perse strings.
As an arsenal fan I will always want the best for the team and will always support them but it does not mean I have to support the money grabbing mo fos at the top with control. The boys are doing so well to be in the position we are but my gut is telling me we will fall short again, this is not their fault, they are not being given the tools to be the best team they can be especially considering how rich the club is. Ask yourselves a question fellow Gooners……. do you feel the board are doing everything they can to give back to the one thing that makes arsenal what it is…… the fans! If you support the club as a season ticket holder, you pay a t.v subscription or are a casual fan, are the people responsible representing us as arsenal football club doing the best they can for us or the best for their own pockets?
-since we last won a trophy, Pep Guardiola retired as a player, became manager, won 16 trophies with Barcelona, took a year break, returned as manager and won two trophies with Bayern Munich.
I think most arsenal fans right now would settle for one!

Per, rosicky and Rambo all sign new deals.rosicky deserves a statue if he see out his deal til next summer a guy who always gives 100%

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Perry groves, ian selley, lee Dixon, nutty, smith so many who gave 100% the list goes on.

giving 100% doesn't equate to statue status.

imo the one who should have got it was rocky

S'up fellow Goons.

Just wanting to talk a little about Ozil. I, like most, was completely stunned when he joined, I mean this Mesut f**king Ozil! The first half of the season, he fitted perfectly into the team looking like he had been there for years, and as we know he has recently struggled to replicate this form. However, looking at some stats gives an interesting read.

In the club he has the most assists (8), the most key passes (63) some 21 more than Cazorla in 2nd, the most toal passes (1404), and the most crosses (87). He may be struggling, but everything goes through this guy in all areas of the attacking 3rd. People seem to think he is lazy and goes missing in games, but these stats may suggest something different? i'm not saying he has been great lately, I agree his performances have dropped, but just found this interesting.

Peace out you handsome Goons :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

His stats for the prem league are impressive too. The team is not suited to him. he's a feeder the best in europe, problem is we ain't that hungry so his work that way goes un noticed.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy is an assist king and an awesome passer although I wish he would take a few more pot shots as he can shoot (apart from penalties).

As soon as have a fast striker and Theo back he will tear the premiership apart. Giroud and no midfield runners make him look weaker than he should but I though playing in the CAM position and not wide had helped his performances.

It wouldn't surprise me. Something is very wrong with our injury record in recent seasons, which must be addressed. I have a few ideas:
1) A small squad with inferior back up for the main players, so little rotation as it weakens the team. At Chelsea & Man C, they have options, which don't weaken the team.
2) Training methods
3) Medical team

Personally I think its a anti Arsenal rumour designed to feed the doom surrounding us since Saturday, there's nothing I can find on The net to back it up.
If true its not good news for our season or this page as it will be more amo for the everything wrong at Arsenal brigade, but that's the intention, I think I HOPE

Agree0 Disagree0

Best place to check is Physioroom. They are always bang up to date and they say he is coming back 16th March.

We desparately need him back as we have no other player like him and he gets the best out of Ozil.

Ok folks today is the 100th birthday of Sir Aaron Ramsey and we are taking a trip down memory lane to the 2013/14 season or has it has since become better known as THE Aaron Ramsey season.

Its hard to believe now looking back but Sir Aaron was considered rubbish prior to this season but he started it in blistering form that took everyone by surprise and together with Mesut Ozil that all time Arsenal and German legend they climbed to the top of the table and remailed there at the half way point.
But Ramsey's injury that year was a bigger blow than any imagined and both Arsenal and Ozil went into serious decline, Ramsey's reemergence came at what was then a top tier team spurs and as if by magic Ozil went back to being Ozil and Arsenal went on to an incredible double that in early March had looked impossible.
As we all know Arsenal Ramsey and Ozil went on to complete many doubles and trebles over the next 10 years.
Ladies and Gentlemen Sir Aaron Ramsey 100 today

Hey G62, I have also read on internet about the 2013-14 season and the decade that followed which totally changed the english football, in the 10 years following 2013-14 season we won 8 premiership titles, 5 champions league, 7 fa cups, 6 league cups, 4 club world cups, another important event that happened was that because of mindless spending by Spurs who used to be a mid table club back then was faced with financial turmoil which resulted in them getting relegation after relegation and as we all know now that they play in SUNDAY league now a day, one more important thing that happened in the years following 2013-14 season was that Manchester United offered David Moyes a contract of 25 years, and we all know that his 25 years regin had turned them into a mid table club that we see now a days

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Human
Did you know spurs once appeared in the Champions league! Check it out its true.
They was also a time they were talking about moving into the old Olympic stadium, you know the one they built for 2012 Olympics that got converted into a tesco before they moved to bigger premises.
Apparently Stoke newington fc are threatening to sue them something, to do pinching there logo or something. It's not right when a bigger team picks on those much!much smaller than them self
