Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

Sagna and Fab both signs

Remi, Bender, Kroos, Papadopoulos or Kjaer and Hazard

That would make me a happy Gooner

Would add to the spine and add pace plus bite

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not a chance on Hazard. That boat sailed years ago.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think you will be a happy gooner kos all that ain't going to happen. Its pretty obvious sagna wants out, fab doesn't feel he's been treated fairly. As for the transfers, I won't give an opinion on the others but hazard to us is not ever going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 22:51:22
So wrong that Kos or Per are not in team of the season - absolute stars this season and hope one of them score the winner at wembly

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Probably down to the fact we have let shed loads of goals in, especially against our main rivals, who they are in direct competition with.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at our goal difference the lack a world class striker and those three games where we shipped six hit us!

Hi eds, with remy in the crowd today that transfer is looming as good as done, he is a very good player and one is love to see but I still think we need a world class striker, do you know of wenger is planning on signing another aswell as remy?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - That would be tapping up if it were true and Arsenal are not as stupid as that.}

Another player who was touted to join us last year was in the croud in an end of season game and joined spurs, vertongen. don't read anything into it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Steve, I think there's a big chance it will happen mate, let's face it, Remy won't break the bank, which will please Wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell do we want Remy? I just don't see it

Agree0 Disagree0

Banbury, Remy would fit in well at Arsenal.

He scores goal wherever he goals and if he can score at QPR and Newcastle he will definitely score shed-loads at Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id take remi in place of giroud if we got costa or cavani as well. Fat chance.

As I said in my last rant, about the our fans being the worst in te prem I times them signing all together the fans sung for 13m 47 secs out of a 90mins game shocking

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2014 19:51:36
Good job they're signing for someone else then, any idea who? ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Do arsenal have a full length song to sing like some of the other clubs?

if we do it escapes most modern fans minds

most of our chants are quite specific aswell does tend to limit uses

Agree0 Disagree0

You timed our fans singing, wow I wouldn't admit that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was just thinking that Steve.

Jelfy, you need to get a hobby, or a girlfriend, or both, or a girlfriend with a hobby.

#worried.

What a good last 7 days, two wins for us, Spurs get thrashed and as if that wasn't enough The horrible one loses his last two hopes of silverware for this season, he's a complete specialist if ever there was one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Perfect

Rocky Van Wolfswinkel anybody?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No mines fine DG perhaps you should see a doctor if yours is feeling a bit on the rocky side mate

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 20:04:45
One goal in 27 appearances so he's every bit as prolific as Nacho Monreal, I say yes Dags, sign him up. Lol. :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ricky van Wolfswinkle?

Your joke about diaby and polishing the tv was much better!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, 3 great replies.
Made me laugh.

Got a few thoughts with regards to Ozil, and how many players we should add in the summer.

Firstly, I think the problem with Ozil finding his best form this season is the fact that he was the ONLY 'superstar' high-priced signing we made last summer. Chelsea signed Willian (£32m), Salah (£11m), Matic (£21m) and Schurrle (£18m). Man City signed Jovetic (£22m), Negredo (~£17m), Fernandinho (£34m) and Navas (£15m). With all these players for the respective clubs coming with relatively pricey transfer fees, I believe it then spread the pressure of those fees between them, with not as much focus on them singularly. Poor old Ozil cost £42.5m and was the definition of our window!

This brings me onto what I believe our summer window should be like. Some people are demanding 4, 5 or 6 marquee signings to challenge for the title. All I can say is that we saw what happened when Spurs did this, I don't believe it's wise. But as previously mentioned, 1 is too few. I think we need to strike the right balance in how many players we bring in, and make sure they are of high quality. Just hope Arsene can deliver us this! Hopefully Ozil will be even more effective next year with maybe 2 or 3 other players of his standard in our starting XI to compliment our already-high talented team.

Glad we have secured 4th place yet again and let's hope we win the FA cup as we should well do!

Thoughts people!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thoughts?

Great post is my thought.

Well said mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs bought average players. We have the monetary power to buy top class players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spurs also bought more players than they needed, arsenal need a striker and a solid DM at this point in time

come the end of the season we may need a keeper and a rb too.

that makes 4 players needed.

id love 1 or two more stars but 5 is the limit, 4 probably more realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly my point G95. We need to buy quality. But my mention of Spurs was in regards to how many players they brought in: simply too man!

And yes GoonerInk they definitely bought too many, we can't make the same mistake, but we can't only add 1!

Don't get carried away, Remy is friends with the Sagna's and was there with Mrs Sagna, who you would definitely choose for just one night over a season with Remy.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wow, just seen pic.

i would take her Nando's any day.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you seen her world cup car, excellent

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, her Lambourghini lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that your seduction technique then Dags, Nando's, a few bad jokes then it's back to your gaff for a game of hide the Bendtner! you Dagenham boys aren't half smooth.

Agree0 Disagree0

1404,
it works on Dagenham girls every time mate, lol.

Don't think Mrs Sagna will 'put out' but its worth a Nando's mate.

As stated by Wenger, just 2 to 3 major signings expected. Wenger doesn't want to unsettle a squad that he thinks is close to major success. Remy is the obvious forward and relatively inexpensive but Veltman and Aurier have been mentioned.
Fabregas is clearly going to join Man Utd, but that means Strootman might be the midfielder Gunners need

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In what way is Fabbers 'clearly going to join United?'

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 16:37:39
Heard Jenkinson was in the squad to get game time to ensure he could pick up his 4th place winners medal this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2014 16:36:25
He said: “I have just been informed Loic Remy was here. I honestly did not know.

“I hope he paid for his ticket!”

Ha ha

Could my winter tip come true?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hope so mate

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 16:12:57
Remy was at the game today. Would anyone have any objections to him coming in? I wouldn't personally, though at £3.3m we really shouldn't overlook Vela.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes please to Loic Remy

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not both? We are after all Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Buy Vela to turn a profit

Buy Remi as quicker, less one footed and proven in EPL

Remi would add pace to a team that needs it and a runner for Ozil

Theo and Remi plus Pod, Ox etc will scare people

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't rate Remy, he's not blowing anyone away with his game. If we are serious we need world class talent or add talent you can nurture like Alvaro morata. Remy is no good

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember those words Laker mate because I will remind you of them halfway through next season when he's banging em in, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Laker, if he was that good he wouldn't be where he is,, a superb player in the Championship, he won't win us games against Liverpool, Chelsea or City

On a side not, I personally would like Sunderland to stay up. They've managed to do three things WE COULDN'T do which was take a point away at City and beat Manchester United and Chelsea away.

My main reason for wanting them to stay up is because Don Vito Mannone has had an outstanding season. I'm really happy for him. He's now at a club where he is number 1 and is thriving. I don't think he's Arsenal number 1 standard but I'm happy he's doing well and getting his reward and plaudits.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree Greeny.
Vito is a decent keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

And greeny, he was brought in as a backup keeper, which I think was a tad insulting for his ability, the same with fabianski, he deserves a 1st team place somewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 15:42:10
I had a random thought during the game today with regards to Sagna.

Wenger MUST know if Sagna is staying or not.

Which leads me to the FA Cup final. The trophy drought could and should come to an end on May 17th. With 99% of the squad having not experienced winning a trophy at Arsenal my devils advocate question is:

Sagna is staying or leaving and we reward his loyalty with a place in the cup final as his final appearance. Or if he is staying he's our first choice, so will start.

Or Sagna is leaving so we look to the future and give Jenkinson the chance to experience first hand, winning a trophy and the feeling that comes with it. A bit like taking players like Barkley, Shaw and Lallana to the World Cup over Cole, Carrick etc. To gain valuable experience.

I will be interested to see into the minds of everyone else. For me, IF Sagna is going, I'd start Jenkinson. IF Sagna is staying, I'd start Sagna. Controversial I know but that's the way aha aha I like it!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Have to play the strongest team, which means that Sagna has to start.

Agree0 Disagree0

Against Hull it wouldn't matter if Jenks played

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2014 15:32:02
Another 1-0 to the Arsenal without parking the bus eh?!

Game was played at training/pre-season pace as were guaranteed fourth and have eyes on the cup final and west Brom will be safe when Chelsea park the bus and beat them 1-0.

I'm pleased Wenger didn't rest too many players. As the commentators said; you have to maintain the intensity leading up to the cup final. Hull are going through a losing streak but will no doubt be pumped up for the final.

If you get the chance look at the guardians article on Aaron Ramsey, a gracious and glowing article on the midfield maestro, well worth the read. Think it's called 'Aaron Ramsey: who's piers Morgan'

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We don't play well without him Saint that's for sure, what a season for him

Ozil just makes everything look so easy. He is going to be so good for us next season. :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes very good... but he does look like a lizard jen.. :)

Nah he doesn't Ed.

He looks like a frog who has just swallowed a lizard, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your on form today dags..

04 May 2014 14:22:22
I'll give you the fact he wouldn't look as good as you on the beach ed025 but hey he's hot at football. :-)

Saying that as soon as I posted he gave the ball away on the edge of our penalty area. Typical. I'll shut up. Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Jen, have you seen Eds beach pic on Arsenal sightings page?

Dead ringers apparently. If you swap copacabana beach with Liverpool high street, that's our Ed, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i do get some funny looks though dags, but saying that, most guys wearing only speedo,s and sipping southern comfort in liverpool city centre would probably end up being beat up!..so i cant really complain mate.. :)

Hehe love that Ed, cracked me up.

Very surprised at the starting line up, though AW would have rested a few, Diaby back in the squad, no doubt he will get injured in the warm up

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Apparently when Wenger told him he might play, he was so surprised he passed out and injured himself.

My wife has asked me to polish the TV, but I won't do it if Diaby is playing, because if I knock the TV Diaby might fall over and get injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - quite good that for you dags.. :)

Im actually quite proud of that one Ed, one of my better ones me thinks.

4 1 win today is my prediction.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You going to finish the season on a high G62?

I'm going to see your 4-1 and raise you 3-1, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll see your 3 1 DG and raise you a pair Ozil goals

Agree0 Disagree0

I will see your pair of Ozils and raise you Olly to score first goal, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great shout that! ^

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you do it DG? that's 58 grand you've won off me this season, who do you think will score next? 2nd half's about to start, tell me afterwards what you would have said

Agree0 Disagree0

Its going to finish 1-0 mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Uncanny! that's another cheque in the post DG, how do you do it! Every time

Cant reveal my secrets G62, even to you my good friend, lol.

i think its interesting that Wenger has mentioned not to expect signings before the World Cup finals. Is he looking to take over as the French national boss, is they have a poor World Cup? Or will he make late signings, as we have to play in the Champions League qualifiers before the start of next season & he only make significant signings if we have Champions League football.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The summer window doesn't open until 1st of July when a lot of top players will be at the world cup this is what I think Arsene ment.
Personally I think the window should be from the 1st of June to 31of August and no January window.

Agree0 Disagree0

He said its because the players won't be avaliable because they will be solely focusing on the World Cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene probably has a contract with French television for the duration of the World cup which will keep him busy.

Q: Which two players have scored over 100 Premier League goals without ever scoring a penalty?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think one of them is Heskey but can't think of the other one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Andy Cole?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah G62, Andy Cole took a few pens for Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh did he! We'll Keegan was wrong to allow that as its made my answer rubbish, he never did like me its why he never capped me for England

Agree0 Disagree0

Emile Heskey was one.

A certain Sir Les Ferdinand the other.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol G62

I reckon the other one could be Chris Sutton or Les Ferdinand

Agree0 Disagree0

Good call DG i'm glad my next beer didn't depend on me getting those two I'd have been tea total

Another great 'Arsenal Poll' question.

Top work as usual Eds.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2014 00:02:41
How can we improve for next season?

Much has been said about Ozil. World class?

Is Wenger going to spend big?

That remains to be seen.

Doggy, AKA Didier Drogba, is what we need.

In retrospect, we should have finished higher.

The players need to defend better as a team.

Window shopping? No, we need to spend.

The buck stops with Wenger.

One, two or three class players needed?

With Ozil, we should win things.

The board need to back Wenger, financially.

Waggily, My Spurs mate, thinks Wenger will leave.

Tail end of this season, we were poor.

These are just a few questions and statements I wanted to make about this season and next.
What does everybody think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Trouble is Daggers, with us securing 4th place with games to spare and gaining more points than last season and a probable FA Cup win the board and Arsene won't see much wrong with the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Bender or similar
The best natural goal scorer who will come to us
Cesc so if Aaron Or Ozil are injured it won't be as badly felt and we can rest players when needed.
Plus a few sqaud players and we wouldn't be far off

Agree0 Disagree0

Gents, read the post carefully.

Do you notice anything weird or unusual about the post?

You must read it very carefully.

Tell me what's weird about it.

Haha Ed 025, lol.

I would have thought a man of your calibre would have noticed there's something in the post.

PS, nothing wrong with the saver menu mate, its all crap just cheaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - cheap is right up my street mate.. :)

Well they say "Cometh the hour, cometh the man, but I think in our case we should change that to "cometh the lunch-hour, cometh the man".
