Please think of me tomorrow. I'm going to be watching the game with four Chelsea fans (for my sins!)

Just desperate for a win!

{Ed025's Note - i hope its nice and cool for you greeny....we would,nt want your plastic mates to melt now would we.. :)

I'll be in a pub that will be 50/50 and I'm hoping to be proud come what may, all I ask is 100% commitment from 1st to last minute, give me that and I'll sing as loud as anyone come 3.50pm win lose or draw.
I can take defeat it happens, I hate surrender

Is it just me or has this site gone very quite over the past week or two? Usually seems to be more discussion on here. We aren't all hiding already expecting a beating from Chelsea.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its better than all the moaning DG..

Feeling a bit disenfranchised by the brigade of moaning arsenal fans at the moment so just staying keaping my head down for a while

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed 25 aren't you an Everton fan mate? Arsenal fans have been so frustrated for yesrs now. how can you relate if you're not even an arsenal fan? Not meant to be a dig mate

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - frustration is not exclusively for arsenal fans k, you have qualified for the CL 19 years straight, won the FA cup last year, have a ground to die for, and can buy £40m players on a whim. you have a lot to be thankful for mate, think of the rest of us poor sods who really cant compete at the very highest level..

Everton 50.1% and Arsenal 49.9% if you please Edward.
What's your score prediction for today mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im going for 1-1 G62, we are not great at the moment but utd for me are not a team, some great individuals for sure, but i believe we have enough quality to get a result mate..

I don't think any club look at a fixture with Everton and think that's a 3 pointer Ed.
Anyway enough of the misuss and kids stuff, how do you think your bit on the side will do today? Your true love Arsenal!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - to be honest G62 i dont hold out a lot of hope mate, a draw will be a great result, but i just think they might have a bit too much today, nothing would give me greater pleasure than for arsenal to bring big head down to earth though, and i think all proper supporters will be behind you..

Thanks Ed, I'm with you 100% mate I'd take a point now with both hands mouth feet and all Greeny's internal organs.
As long as we're competitive I'll be proud mate, but should we somehow do the impossible and win? The whole uk will be a happier place to live ( well nearly the whole uk :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - all except the plastic ones mate.. :)

Are 'real football fans' just fans of a club that under achieves and wins little or is it less exclusive than that ed? 😋

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - no chris, they are fans that stick by their club through thick and thin mate, where were these supporters when the clubs were struggling?..like city in division one, and chelsea languishing at the bottom, united and arsenal fans have always been there through the good and bad times..

Ken, Barbie soda streams, yup it seems all boot sales are full the same old things Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right there G62..

Real fans get fed up disappointed and even angry at what they perceive as the club not being all it could be at one time or another but never ever defect to another club or sport but live hope eternal.
Every season 3 teams will be relegated no matter how well all teams play and only one can be champions.
If our club is being all it can possibly be that's good enough for me.
city chavs and utd may all compete for Ranaldo next summer and pay him £500,000 aweek, I want no part of that but would like a good quality DM who's happy to come for a measly £1000k a week. That would make me a happy bunny

If we are to sign a holding mid in Jan and that is a big IF. Would you say we are more likely to get someone like William Carvalho or Lars Bender rather than Khedira?

Got a good feeling about tomorrow. If defensively we can hold it together we have the pace to teach Chelsea a thing or two about counter attacking for a change.

If we were able to get the first goal and hold the lead for an extended period, the pressure would really mount up on Chelsea.

Posted ages ago that this was the match I was most looking forward to this season. I think its going to be epic. Just hope it's not an epic fail. Everybody needs to bring their A game. There's no room for passengers this match.

In boxing terms all we need to do is land an really early blow that totally unbalances our opponents and makes them throw wild punches, whilst always protecting our glass chin from a knock out flurry of punches.
Not an easy ask but when you go head to head with big boys it never is.
The last fight was all over in round two of the scheduled fifteen get past round five (30 mins
relatively unscarthed and confidence will start to grow and maybe theirs begin to waver.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll take a win on points or an unseen low blow victory to be honest!

Agree0 Disagree0

A good analogy. First goals are always important. This one could prove pivotal to the outcome

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty of holding and loads of rabbit punching would be good to see and if we make it to round 14? Spit out the gum shield and don't bother going back to our corner, just stand in the centre of the ring and beckon them out for the knock out.
To be in a position to (just this once) be completely arrogant in the dying in minutes would erase all past disappointments for ever and have us ALL in dreamland once more

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL! An imaginative image but a fair point. I'd love to see Mourinho's face the day Arsene bests him. Barton, Savage and every other Arsenal hating **** would have to eat their words (for a week at least)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love it so much Ulster mate, I sometimes think people confuse my pessimism about us getting a result with a lack of passion for it to come true.
Believe me I want it every single bit as much as anyone does but last season pre Swansea at home I allowed my heart to rule my head and ignored the obvious weakness and concentrated on the pluses, this time round I'm trying to be more honest with my self and listen to my head not my heart but a win tomorrow and I'd be more than ready to swap back again :-)
