Personally I think the physical presence of a player like Kondogbia from Inter would massively improve our midfield.
I remember him dominating our midfield for Monaco a few seasons back and he reminded me then of a young Vieira.
I'm sure he would be open to a move away from Inter especially as it's a world cup year.

Arsene says he's not in favour of the Europa league champions going into the next season's champions league, wonder if he will feel the same next April/ May time :-)

His point was that up until United fluked it, it has always been won by a side knocked out of the Champions League which makes it all a bit daft.

Fair comment Stoner :-) I only read an article quoting him saying he was against the idea.
Personally I think it's a positive move because it makes the Europa league much more competitive much like the tip 4 race it's self.
Back in the day once you were out of contention for the title your season was pretty much a going through the motions process but top 4 champions league plus the play offs for promotion have kept the excitement going for much longer each season.
I think the Europa needed that same lift personally.

Really annoys me that the press do this. And it's no fault of your own gunner. But if someone can't be bothered to read the whole story and just look at the headline they get such mislead understanding of what was truely said.

Surely the answer is don't allow the champions league also rans into the Europa league in the first place.
Top 2 go through bottom 2 go out of Europe altogether, it is a bit like allowing those who fail to compete for the premier league to have a crack at the championship title I guess :-)
But still think rewarding the winners with a champions league place is the right thing to do to boast the competitions attraction and I still think Arsene might just be signing a slightly different tune next April time when he might suddenly decide he does like the idea of a Champions league route being available :-)

gunner I've got no problems with the winners going into the Champions League and we're in it so that will be Wengers goal.
He didn't like the fact United binned off League games to concentrate on the Ropa Dopa which can have an effect on the big teams trying to win the league.
That two faced stroker would whine like a bitch if it happened to him.
The press chatting bull is was annoys me.

Didn't sevilla win it a couple times having not been in the champions league before? I think a champions league spot for the winner definitely helps the competition, before no English team took it seriously, it was lower than the league cup!

im not sure on exact facts but i'm sure most win it being in from the start of the competition.
