Hi Eds
Can I request a poll? I know he is still under contact but I just want to hear the other fellows fans opinion:
Next season, do the fans want Wenger in, or Wenger out?
{Ed033's Note - Ok poll is up. See below button

OK this was a tough one, although I don't understand so much of what he does or doesn't do or think he any longer has what it takes to make us champions, when push comes to shove with just 18 months to go I can't vote WENGER OUT!
If he decided to go a year early of his own free will I would be sad to see him go but on the other hand be very excited about what was now possible with some new ideas.

Strongly in Wenger's favour at present, but that could change come May.

Our best option for a replacement has just gone to City and the only 2 other managers I'd have conaidered are starting new projects at Bayern and Liverpool
So firmly Wenger in, we should have made way for Pep though.

I just hope Arsene spends this summer to leave us in better shape than Fergie left utd in, Cech Kos Mertesacker Monreal Caz and Giroud will all be well into their 30s in 18 months time and we might well be still be waiting for a 29:year old Theo to realise his potential :-) .
Arsene owes it to himself to have a real go in his final season as Arsenal manger but also he owess to the fans and the next manager to strengthen well next summer too.

It is really a tough one, I've always been wenger in but lately I haven't been pleased with his decisions, and the lack of new ideas. From the first time ever Ibwatched arsenal arsen was in charge and I thought wow it is so meant to be. Had a hug faith in him. But unfortunately I'm losing it now. I voted out and I wasn't expecting my self to do. Club come first under every possible circumstances.
But let's see how the end of this season plans out and hopefully I had a wrong decision.

Moe you remind me of myself two seasons back when I went from 100% pro Arsene to realising we would never be all we could be under him again, but with only 18 months to go we won't and we shouldn't replace him now but if he decided in the summer enough is enough that might be good for all.
I don't want Arsene's reign to end in protests and booing as we yet again become a team of two half of each season.

It's a really tough decision. How can you turn your back on a man who has done so much for us? Also can you trust the bunch of clowns who are the board to hire a decent manager who will do better than Wenger on the same budget? However I sadly and narrowly voted out, purely because I think Wenger looks a shadow of what he was 10 years ago. I think the Wenger of 2000 would put out a team and formation that would beat 2016 Wenger every time. Today he is starting to look what he is, an ageing man who is either struggling to, or refusing to keep up with the latest changes in the game. Looking at history and there definitely seems to be a period when a manager runs out of ideas at the same club and perhaps we are now at that period with Arsene. Just at a period when we need him to change his style once more and drive his team on, he seems to be at an age where change proves difficult, which is fair enough as generally in life as people get older they tend to become less prone to change. So as I said, a horrible decision to say out, and I really hope I am 100% wrong at the end of the season when I see Arsene holding the premiership trophy aloft.

Wenger out for me. No one should stay in charge of any one thing for 19 years. It leads to staleness at best and corruption at worst. Ferguson was a very rare exception and Wenger has for many years shown all the signs of hubris that comes with too much power for too long. Sure he seems a nice man but if he were truly wise he should have known to go 5 years ago. 8-2 could have been one hint.
Why do we need an established replacement? Wenger was not a world beater when he came here and neither was the supposed god of managers, Pep, when he began at Barca. So let's live dangerously and start with someone new.

Excellent post that Epping mate.
Most accept change is necessary for us to ever be champions again but also don't want to disrespect a our best ever manager.
The best case scenario is for Arsene to hang up his coat zip this May and go out with everyone singing his name and applauding him IMO.

You summed it perfectly Epping mate at least IMO, and that's exactly what I'm talking about. G62, definitely I don't want Wenger reign to end with boos and protest and I would love it if he finishes on a hi and I'm sure every arsenal fan and Wenger thinking the same way.
But he must find a differnet aproach to certain games from now to the end of career at arsenal.
Next season it going to be damn hard with all the top teams adding more quality and power to thier squad, but for us it will be every summer waiting.

For me it’s Wenger out. Every dog has it’s day and I just believe we will never take that next step to sign the true world class players we need to become genuine title and European contenders. We have our best chance for years this season to win the league with the turmoil surrounding the other top clubs and yet we are still struggling to keep a consistent run going and take advantage.
Yes Leicester have caught everybody by surprise but we should in the circumstances be leading this league title race. We won’t get a better and chance but the mental frailties and the weak links still present in our squad are still undermining our chances. If we had the mental strength, work rate and togetherness of Leicester combined with our talent we would walking this league this season. These frailties have not been addressed by Wenger for years now and he has to take blame for that.
He is basically too stubborn to change his philosophy to adapt and also far too loyal to underperforming and constantly injured players. He is too nice and too much of a mate to his players he needs to be more ruthless in this department, look how long it took him to release Diaby for example. His stubborn sometimes ignorant mentality of the current situation feeds down to the players and they often play like they have nothing to prove and not prepared for the fight. Yes there are exceptions to that Sanchez for example but I believe that is because he has not yet been tainted by the lethargy that seems to creep into some of the more longer-standing players.
In addition though the board have also got to take their share of the blame they have not put enough pressure on Wenger and allowed him too much power really. They with Wenger have been too willing to extend contracts of underperforming players and paying un-established young players too much too soon giving them less incentive. They have just got to comfortable with the steadiness of Wenger. It kind of like when you get too comfortable in your current job security. You end stuck in a rut up not willing to expand your horizons and skills by testing yourself to take yourself out of the comfort zone.
The harder question is who should replace him and that is part of the problem like I say better the devil you know, the board are too fearful of change.
