Wenger allowed Debuchy to leave on loan last season, to enable him to play first team football to try and secure a spot in the French Euro squad. Do you think that we may keep him at the club next season?

He doesn't want to be Belerins cover and Arsene doesn't want an unhappy player in the squad so I can't see him returning.

Don't know how he did on loan but for sagna to be ahead of him in euro squad, says ot all really. He looked slow and timid what bit I saw of him after his lay off, I think we are open to offers, ten bob and an orange will get him.

He was a disappointed really but Belerin was class last year, clearly Debauchy had no stomach for a fight.

According to reports, Madrid 57mil for Morata.
That makes think we'll switch to Lacazette.
Fingers crossed.
We wait.

Let's see what happens after the Euros and if nothing has happened or looks likely to happen by August 1st I think it's not unreasonable for us to start pulling Dags hair out and kicking his tyres, but until then I think his syrup should stay in one piece:-)

Make you right G62,
Lacazette or Morata will do very nicely.

They are possibly the only decent striker's available, along with Aubamayang.

Thanks.

Did mou
make a mockery of Ryan Giggs regarding the "manager" position?

He does look like the cat that got the cream. Iff he gets the players on his wavelength they could be on for a bit of a recovery. He won't put up with show ponies, i just wonder if pep over the road might be a hindrance to his ego. I certainly think conte will relish the challenge.

No question everyone will will have one eye on Manchester this season as Mourinho and Pep go head to head adding a spice to the already fierce clubs rivalry, beauty and the beast in style of football and Mr cool v Mr angry it will make for excellent entertainment that's for sure.

We will be looking down on them competing for CL spots - let's hope!

This transfer window is still days old, but it has been a bit odd for us. Usually we are linked to every player in the galaxy but this window it's much quieter. No real wild speculations or maybe people waiting for the Euros to conclude?

Wenger signed two players so far (ok maybe one and a half) but rarely does he do business this early. Full of nervous excitement and I feel a big striker will be unveiled soon. Here's to hoping.

I think there has been quite a lot of noise, regarding potential signs. We have made two signings to date and Wenger mentioned that his target was 2 or 3 players.
The current squad has very little scope for addition, unless players depart. A quality forward is the main priority, unless the Japanese player is earmarked for this role, which I very much doubt. I believe Wenger will wait until late in the window to make his move. When he signed Ozil and Sanchez, both clubs needed to sell in order to pay for new acquisitions. So, if he goes for Morata, he may wait until Real make a play for an expensive acquisition and need funds.

With some of the old skool coming back to Arsenal and looking at Wales' set up -> could Ramsay be the new Freddie? Allow him a bit more freedom to interchange with Alexis and the new striker to give us more options, a forward who presses the opposition up the field, some creativity plus an eye for goal? Freddie was awesome and really wasn't your typical winger. May be a fair bit quicker than Rambo but could he be used as one of the front 3.

Is he a square peg and we need to sell him? I really like him and adds a lot to the team but not sure how he fits in best.

After mulling it over if you think about the clubs that Romelu Lukaku has played for and the amount of goals he has been able to score season after season I'm now starting to think he could be an awesome striker at the right club. Maybe he should! be on our shopping list. He is also familiar with the Premier League which is a massive bonus too. I think he's scored 60 odd goals in 3 seasons for 2 mediocre clubs being
West Brom, Everton not a bad return when you consider it really.
Placed in a top club like Arsenal being use to the premier league could work for us .

{Ed001's Note - remember that he was the focal point of everything for those two teams mate. His first touch is the worst in the top flight, one of the worst I have ever seen. It is terrible. In a team that is focused on tight passing in close quarters, like Arsenal, that is a severe hindrance. You could not play it in to him, let him hold it up and bring other players in to the move, like Giroud offers. It would have to be over the top for him to run onto, or it just bounces back off him. He does not have the attitude to work on his game, he already thinks he is the greatest, so you can't expect him to improve.}

Ed01. Well ok mate thanks. But couldn't he be groomed into playing our way or do you think he is too set in his ways to change.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't think he shows any inclination to improve himself, or his touch would not be so bad. He has a terrible, lazy, 'I am the greatest' attitude, he reminds me of Balotelli, though nothing like as bad.}

By the way Ed01.
How comes you are up so early or are you abroad somewhere. I suppose we seem to imagine you must be in the UK maybe you are based somewhere else .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I had to move abroad for sun and sea air a few years ago due to illness. I have been living in Dubai for a few years, though I am going to Spain in September to save money. It is just too expensive to live here and I have used up my savings. I am always up editing early nowadays.}

05 Jul 2016 09:43:23
It's getting silly here in Dubai. Apparently for every new visa they issue, 8 are being cancelled. Given that people pre-pay their rents and schooling, expect an exodus this summer. Ed001, if you want a beer before you leave, it would be good to say hello and farewell. And where in Spain are you going? Mallorca is my next stop when I leave the desert.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't drink, luckily as it was a liver infection that made me need to come here, drinking would have finished me off. But I would gladly meet up for a drink. I am going to Andalusia to stay with my parents for a few months. You aren't stalking me are you???}

05 Jul 2016 10:50:20
I'm open to stalking 5'8" size 6 Eastern European girls and I'm fairly sure you don't comply with most of that. Dubai is surely the worst place for a liver issue, it's more boozey than the UK!
