Just watched the Kane goal again, Pers defending has to be some of the worst I have seen this season. i'm afraid he wouldn't get in a pub side with defending like that, it was so casual and laid back its as though he had no awareness of the danger. How did he get so many bloodt caps for Germany. It really is shocking, and the odd thing is no one gave him a rollocking. apart from me it seems.

He should have just kicked it out.

Don't want to slag him off though because he's G62's favourite player :-)

Really have to give it to Leicester πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» absolute dreamland for the supporters! A good old fairytale and I see today as us giving them a friendly nudge on! If they beat Spurs to the league by 2 points I will look back on today with a smile knowing that with 10 men the mighty Arsenal against all odds took a point against a very good Spurs side! No hard feelings spuds but as good as you are this year I don't want you to win the leauge because we would never hear the end of it! And for the record it's played 3 won 1 drawn 2 this year πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Good game today.

Today especially the second half was a great improvement on recent times and our best effort in 2016.
Leicester will be very very worthy champions if they stay the course and I certainly wouldn't begrudge them doing it at all, they and Raneiri have covered themselves in glory from August to March so far and fully deserve to be where they are.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 22:16:34
You need a fairy tale every now and again! It's good for the game.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the brothers grimm could not have written the script if leicester do win it SLB..

05 Mar 2016 22:44:41
It really is nice for English football! If Leicester can why can't anybody else. After all Leicester are getting ok results against the big boys and beating the best of the rest! It's a winning formula ranerri has got em playing! I would be chuffed if they won the leauge .

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 23:08:44
I wouldn't go crowning Leicester just yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 23:27:00
What about if they beat you to the league title by two points Sano. That would be hilarious.

I see your already confirming that your out the running for that though.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 00:41:16
Banbury I agree but I think if they win half of their fixtures they have 75 points. that's easily doable and I can see that being enough in this league.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 10:23:09
If they beat us by two points then yesterday was a good day for you! That's football and that's rivalry it's normal! And I'm not crowning the foxes and putting us out of the race just thinking of the less of two evils! God knows city can still win it. Very unpredictable.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 12:50:29
If Arsenal don't win it, I will be very happy to see Wes Morgan (a Nottingham boy who went to my school) lift the PL trophy. Although, they'll become a mid to lower league team again by next season.

Burnley could also win the Championship which would make it a very good year for Nottingham as Tendai Darikwa, who's Mum lives on my street, plays as their RB.

Every cloud and all that.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2016 15:28:22
If they keep most of the team there is no reason why they won't challenge top 4 again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 20:40:13
All things considered, happy with a point.

On the grand scheme of things, not enough, but at least it has bucked our recent trend and proved we do have a little bit of fight in ourselves.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - in the grand scheme of things..putting a dent in spurs title aspirations was just as important as gaining a point.. :)

05 Mar 2016 21:31:40
Would have preferred the win Ed, that would have dented Spurs but also put us a little closer to Leicester mate.

At least we showed a bit of spirit after going down to 10 men, unlike some teams heh Ed?
(Love you really mate) .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thanks for that dags.. :(

05 Mar 2016 22:28:39
Shouldn't kick a man when he's down.

Sorry Ed :-)

On the bright side, you have us soon.

That's got 8-8 written all over it, and both teams down to 9 men :-)

Hi all, just got a quick question.

I have got tickets for the home game against West Brom scheduled for the 12th March. but if we get past Hull on Tuesday the FA cup match will take that date. Does anyone know what date the West Brom game will be rescheduled to?

Thanks in advance!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 17:37:03
You Lot fully deserved a point today at whl. I said all week that I would rather be playing a in form arsenal than an Arsenal who have taken a lot I abuse from their fans all week. At half time I would have been happy with a draw but full time I was disappointed with a draw. The chasing pack in city, Utd and west ham are closing in fast on the two out of form nld clubs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 18:27:26
Raver i wouldn't say you were out of form, but what i would say is are you starting to tread water a little or just a blip. You had the chance to kill us off, make a statement andcyou didn't do either.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 18:42:04

05 Mar 2016 17:31:06
Funny old game - how much stick would Wenger get for throwing away a two one lead against ten men?

Thought Spurs lacked ambition and I feel if anyone was going to pinch it, it was ten man Arsenal.

At 2-1 down, I always thought we would get back in the game. Never thought that at 2-3 against Utd.

Feel we may have turned the corner but possibly too late.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

05 Mar 2016 17:18:50
I suppose today we have some plus points. The main one being an out of form out of shape ill disciplined, disjointed 10 man arsenal got a draw at spurs with 11 men and the best team thay have ever had. Nothing changes really. lol.

Everton a 1 point

Watford h 3 points

W Ham a 0 points

Sunderland a 1 point

Norwich h 3 points

M City a 1 point

Villa h 3 points

18 points then - not enough is it.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 18:11:18
We need 23 from the 27 available to equal the all time lowest winning points total, personally I rather not win than set a new record low winning margin.

Agree0 Disagree1

05 Mar 2016 18:35:48
Gunner62 are u joking?

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 19:37:00
Sadly I'm not joking mate which I admit is not a good thing.
I've dreamed for so long of being locked in a battle for the premier league title again to be there at the business end of the season fighting it out blow for blow and for me to be anticipating every result each week and sharing the excitement buzz and pride with fellow gonners on here along the way.
I have to say part of that dream wasn't watching a lack lusture Areenal showing very little passion kor pride playing catch-up to Leicester hoping other teams would beat them to help us limp across the line with the lowest point scoring champions of all time, personally that's not what I've waited and hoped for all these years.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 21:43:02
No one and I mean no one cares when it says 20, 18 or if we make it 14 how each one was won.

We are in a battle, we haven't just strolled or been given the league, we are making bloody hard work of it, may not make it but we are in a fight mate.

No one cares if you got battered for 90 minutes by Munich and scored two goals in extra time to put a tick against the champions league, no body cares.

They couldn't care if the won the title or a major trophy because you scored a goal of your left testicle in the dying seconds to win it.

Just that you won, that is was title number 14.

Can't believe you think it 62, ridiculous in my book fella.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 22:18:53
For me Red I see it this way, if the premier league was an Olympic race we have for many years been the team that usually finishes up just outside the medial positions but gets the very occasional bronze.
Its not our fault if the usaul gold and silver bronzed placed teams get injured or whatever that's not our problem but if were to take gold and be considered worthy champions we need to contact win the race in decent time, not necessarily set a new world record but the slowest time ever isn't exactly the greatest achievement ever.
Leicester have from the very back of the pack and will finish this season on a personal best no matter what happens for a club like like them or West Ham the points total is not important as this is most probably their one and only shot but Arsenal are a very big club and much much more is expected of us to be covered in praise.

Never said they didn't ns. But yes very astute of you.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 16:48:05
Thought ospina, welbeck, sanchez and elneny did ok today. Ozil passed the ball now and then, ramsay goal apart was struggling to make an impact again. Gab did okish, although doesn't fill me full of confidence, mert is mert. The full backs didn't defend but did a bit more going forwards. But we did show a good bit of fight. So frustrated though.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:25:26
Last season was our best points total for a season since the 07/ 08 season with us ending up on 79 points, we need to win all our remaining 9 games to equal last season 79 points total.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:50:26
Cant see us getting 69 gunner to be honest. This season for me is the most disapointing in lots of ways than any in the last 10 years. Letting it all slip at an alarming rate. Listened to radio 5 before game and the commentators said that reports came through to them before that that arsenal looked very nervous before the man u game. If true then that's very worrying.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 16:36:40
Do you think that's realistic gunner?

Like a slow flat tyre Steve. Choke.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 16:52:28
Ns don't try and tell me something that I have been saying for a while. I will go back to a post on your site before xmas. I stick by what I said. Todays score Chokers 2- chokers 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 17:08:04
Your a fan with an opinion Steve, nothing more! don't take it personal, your not the only one who has or is allowed an opinion.

We are possibly ahead of where we should be with our current team. That's not choking. We're enjoying the ride come what May. The fact that there is exp citation on our youthful team and how they are handling it bodes well for the future.

It's quite clear by the over zealous posts and constant criticism of your manager that the pressure is on your team! And therefore, it's my opinion that your lot are bottling it and choking. Pre match today as I've stated some of the posts from your fans in relation to your manager were embarrassing given his service to a club you support and all the success he has brought you! I know that was probably not mentioned on Radio 5 so you may have missed it?

Clearly there are a few teams under achieving this year and therefore expectations by both your fans and the media have led you to believe that the league title should be yours this year, there is still a chance!

So chin up Mr Cantankerous. I have a spare dummy if you've lost yours.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 17:26:06
Ns you are obviously hurting today after seeing your team fail again. I've got plenty of dummies. Have a nice day. Mr personal.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 17:53:03
Totally the opposite, we'd have lost that game two/ three seasons ago.

Well done to the rest of the Arsenal fans. Could have gone either way and a good game all in all.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 18:30:37
I'll lend you a couple of my dummies ns.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:22:09
2-2 not the result either side wanted, but at least some more positives today. Sanchez coming back into form, Elneny looks assured and Ospina was solid when required. Bellerin was our man of the match was exposed defensively but coped well and assisted both goals. Coq was silly with challenge but let's not crucify him he will learn.

Wenger still clueless tactically it was obvious from the kick off where the space for Spurs was but he never made the required changes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:26:14
Welbeck for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:40:23
Wellbs played well if only his finishing was more reliable he would be a top class striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:53:58
Not wanting to vilify a young player, yes he put two good passses in but hir position play Defensively is very bad and sometimes when he needs to run, under pressure he seems very tense and doesn't look like he's relaxed. For me needs a mentor to follow.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:17:47
Thought welbeck was immense today, hope he's the striker til the end of the season, ran spurs ragged.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:26:52
He certainly offers more around the pith than Giroud, just his reliabilty I font of goal is the problem he had real good clear chance today but fluffed it. He played well generally but we still need a top class Striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 16:14:40
Ryan cut the guy a bit of slack, he's still coming back to match fitness. His finishing can be iffy but his menace value could be vital.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:06:57
Great battling performance by players on the field today, respect. But I sit in despair sometimes at the discipline, the way we panic, the decision making and the shape o f the team at times and that's the main problem of this set up. The quality is there the coaching isnt.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:14:08
Yeah silly individual errors of judgement often cost us dear and also poo tactical team shape from Wenger. It was clear from the start that our right hand side as exposed with Ramsey dropping inside all the time why does Wenger not see that. Bellerin done excellent considering this.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:27:39
Yep

Kanes goal was great BUT WTF was Per doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 15:01:37
Today we showed resilience in a huge derby match where we played a large slice of the match with 10 men. A draw away to Spurs is not a bad result, however we needed a win today. We played well today, but the damage was already done I believe against Swansea. The title is not lost but we are hoping for slip ups.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 15:08:34
yeah a draw not enough but good resilience from the boys after going down to 10 men. We actually looked more dangerous with 10. Sanchez looks to be getting back into form.

Don't agree Steve. Was always going to be a tough game. A points a point. Always knew you boys wouldn't rollover. As I've said your keeper got you a point ours cost us two.

Some of your fans need a reality check after some of the abuse on the live match site towards Wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 16:42:48
Sanogo no fans of any team in the whole of the world would lay off their manager if they aren't happy with him. It not nice but i'm afraid that is the way of the world mate. When you win you are a hero and get a statue when you don't you get stoned and hounded out. Well something like that.

If Cech was carrying a slight injury against Swansea, then why wasn't he rested. I would rather have had Ospina play against Swansea and Cech against Tottenham.
I hope Tottenham's high work rate has finally caught up with them and we win on the counter-attack today.
Time for Santi, Theo and Giroud to rediscover their form. A good week and perhaps our confidence will return in time for the run in.

This is how things could pan out, if you have an optimistic viewpoint.

10 games to go and it could be 'a game of 2 halves'.

The first 5 are very tricky.
Spurs (A)
West Bromwich (H)
Everton (A)
Watford (H)
West Ham (A) .

The above 5 are very tricky, but if we are genuine title contenders and don't bottle it, we could (should) win all 5, which will put us in a healthy position (depending on our rivals results) .

Should the above happen, we than have}

Palace (H)
Sunderland (A)
Norwich (h)
Man City (A)
Villa (h)

All winable, even City away as they might be out of it by than.

In simple terms, we win 4 of our next 5 games, which could see us go top, than we have a favourable run in.

But, this is Arsenal and we are in our worst form of the season.

Let's just see if our boys turn up tomorrow at WHL.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Mar 2016 05:54:37
First 5, at best: Draw, win, draw, win, draw.

Second 5, at best with players returning: Win, win, win, draw, win.

Bearing in mind Leicester are 6 points ahead of us, whether the above would be enough is doubtful.

Although Leicester have the following tricky matches:
Watford (a)
Sunderland (a) Scrapping for their lives
West Ham (h) No longer a soft touch and fighting for a European place

Their final 3 matches, with the pressure on, will be extremely difficult.
Man U (a)
Everton (h)
Chelsea (a)

The Toot also have some tricky matches and Dortmund home and away to squeeze in.

Man C have tricky matches and probably at least 3 CL matches.

We must rediscover our form and get the following players back: Cech, Kos, Santi, Jack and The Ox.
