Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

The board won't let him overhaul the squad and there is no more than £120m in the reserves if reports are true. i surely don't think allegri will be coach if arsene doesn't sign that contract.

Lots of managers will be linked to us and the media will have a field day with Arsenal fans once again churning out any old rubbish to get hits from desperate gooners looking for something to cheer them up, the only difference is instead of the usual Benzema and Higuain stuff it will be lots and lots of managers names plus the endless stream of Arsenes about to sign a new 1 year 2 year 20 year Contract or alternatively he's already agreed to join PSG Barcelona or a few others along the way.
Deep down we have come to realise over the years if a player isn't at the Emerirates with Arsenal shirt in hand stating his reasons for joining us chances are it's all media fantasy and until Arsene himself does a press conference stating his intentions for next season can take everything the media tell us with an articulated lorry load of salt.

If we can keep our best players we will have no problem in getting a manager the quality of allegri. I think our top players will stay if wenger leaves. We have the stadium we have the fanbase and the money. wenger was happy keeping the board happy by buying cheap with the occasional ozil purchase but the new gaffer will demand funds as a bartering tool to join the club. The board will have no choice but to offer this to the new manager. We have a good core squad we just need 3 or 4 battle hardened pros who are not afraid to get stuck in when we are under the cosh and speak their mind on the pitch. This would complement our obvious skillful fast players and we might have a team worthy to wear the shirt. This is what wenger inherited and he let that winning formula go for tippy tappy football with no fight. We haven't been the same since the invincibles broke up. We need a new approach to reclaim our success.

How much do you think we need given the inflated transfer prices to buy those 4 players? Plus replacement for Cech and Kos who are getting on a bit now?

We will need to sell well I think as we don't have a bottomless pit and the 130m has half at least earmarked for debt covenants and transfer fees outstanding : (.

Would any of you here my fellow gunners will be happy with a top 4 finish and fa cup winners?

Will you think winning the fa cup might keep Sanchez?

We have been so bad lately. Bad performance after another.

I said before that I wish we drop out of the top 4 just so the board can feel the heat and do something, but that will come at the cost of us losing our best players such as Sanchez and ozil, I know many on here don't rate ozil that much any more but I still think he is class when he has the right player along side him such as santi.
I has really been depressing watching us especially when you know we are struggling.

I'm pretty sure Chelsea City Spurs and Utd will have too much for us in both fa cup and in the race for a top 4 finish Moe mate, if we beat Lincoln we will almost certainly face one of those 4 in the SF of the FA cup and should we manage to somehow up our game enough to get through the SF we would have to do up our game yet again to beat another one of them in the final itself.
Getting the best out of our current squad is probably a bigger job than getting a :-) from Steve, so I think niether a top 4 finish or and fa cup triumph are very likely.

From how things are now? I'd be over the moon. But from the perspective of the start of season deeply disappointed! Honestly I would be happy at the start of the season if we were just pipped to top spot and had a dog fight where the top two were separated by a few points, but it's the nature of the collapse year in year out were no where near good enough.

G62 mate, its going to be a tough fight, but would be satisfied?
I know the fa cup is a good trophy but my worry is if we do the above, wenger will push to stay another season and call it a successful season.

Sorry Moe I didn't answer your question first time round did I :-)
No mate I would be satisfied at all mate.
I've been desperate for us to mount a genuine title challange that lasted into May for 3 or 4 years now so 4th place and the fa cup to me would just be yet more paper over the paper over the paper over the ever increasing cracks that we have continued to ignore for far to long already.
The 4th place mentality of players manager board 50% of the fans would just continue as always imo and deminish any real chance of next season being any different to the last 10 or so.

Yes fourth and fa cup, wenger given a heros send off and allegri as our manager next season, I would be 100% satisfied.

Liverpool fan in peace, just wanted to wade in on the Arsene debate.

You seem to have the opposite problem to us, you always struggle in big games. You just never change the system and expect to get the three points.

Dropping sanchez yesterday was baffaling, he is not just the best player in your team he is one of the best in the league (he is the one player i believe had the ability to replace Suarez) . It gave us a boost before the game even started.

Arsene thought our issue is big strikers, just like the medias been telling everyone but its just that we don't give the smaller teams enough credit and we believe we can just turn up.

Arsene should go, he's lost the majority of fans and possibly some players. If you finish outside the top four sanchez will be gone and all of a sudden everything changes.

I do think youll beat bayern this week, you will put up the usual fight but always being too little too late.

I hope you get top four this year (with us and spurs) but its going to be a scrap and not sure your team has the bite.

It's the raver on the comedown after partying in London's o2 arena last night but good old spurs have perked the raver back up again, R. G. do you still think spurs will finish 6th this season and Alex iwobu better than dele Ali lol and to top it off the most leathal man In the country Harry Kane scores again. I'm off to line by stomach and waistline with a good old Mr. Kipling cake, as the ravers having an exceedingly good day R. G.

Raver, you know what I think of both teams but I will concede if you beat us at your patch, it will be a 1 in 21 years occurrence we won't be able to do much about. Finishing below spuds is the least of our worries to be honest.

It's looking more like it'll 6th, or even 7th!

Honestly I've been such a supporter of Wenger but his team selection yesterday was just baffling.

I'm going to say it, and this is a big change of tune for me, but I think it's time for a new man at the helm. I still don't trust the board to get the right person in though.

new manager. maybe a whole new team.
seems to me like some don't really want to try very hard; enjoying their nice weekly pay packets, showing off their newest hairstyles, discussing their newest cars i have no doubt.

who knows, maybe they're thinking about 'doing a Leicester'. arsenal got to love em, got to hate em at the same time.

I doubt very much 7th but we are closer to finishing 6th than in the top 4 given our current form

Heavy defeat in the week will really put the pressure on.

I Love The Arsenal and it has been if I am honest to big a part of my life, indeed my wife and four daughters would all say this. They are of course (probably) wrong. Over the years I have watch some pretty poor Arsenal teams. In fact standing on the West Terrace of Highbury our chant was "Come on the Rubbish". However now we have a pretty decent squad of players. They just don't seem to be able to turn up for a game. Our manager has no idea what is his best team, their best positions, or how they should defend. I loved 1 Nil to the Arsenal; we now of course play more attractive football that is when we actually turn up for a game. But we have to get back to basics; if you don't concede a goal you have at least a point. There is no way our present team will not concede goals. Does Wenger pay any attention the Steve Bould at all? Yesterday our best team was on the bench. You have to play with pace against Liverpool. Please Arsene go and go now, you have been great for our club but the real secret is when to know it's time to go. I am truly sick of seeing you making the same old excuses.

My wife knows nothing about football, but she happened to walk in when the camera was on Sanchez sitting on the bench.
She said "Why is that player sitting down, isn't he Arsenal's best player?"
yeah well, that sort of sums it up really.

Finishing in the top four only sets us up for a disastrous period, usually February/ March when we collapse.

Stephen it's been coming for a while now and ever since Poch arrived at Spurs we've been unable to take it for granted that Tottenham will have a more disappointing season than us, they are a far better then than us now and over all were last season in Poch 1st full season in charge.
Do they have better players than us? No our players individually are better than spurs players over all but as a team Spurs players work harder are better organised give more and want to win games more.
In 3 years under Poch they have indicated quite clearly making thier intention to over take quite clear but we just laughed and continued in cruise control as always.
Our cosy club is cruising its way into the Spursday night league while all around us are getting better and better.

Thanks for your kind thoughts about spurs, you boys know how to tug the ravers heart strings. Bristow and gunner I wouldn't put a penny on spurs finishing above Arsenal as we go missing at the wrong end of the season every year. The Gap between the clubs a few years ago was massive in Arsenals favour but spurs have improved massively over the last few years and is a club on the up.

its yours this year mate think we will finish 5th but Liverpool seem to find it hard v the small teams so we might get in top 4.
