0-3.

In all seriousness I'm finding it difficult to call tomorrows game as no result would really surprise me.
Its difficult to know which Arsenal will turn but if Le Coq is back that won't do any harm at all.

Leicester City what a story, I want them to win it if we can't they are certainly the best at the moment, Spurs not a long way behind
Man City might yet win the league but my God are they poor, nothing to write home about certainly not as good as made out to be. All that money spent but no better than last season, they are not the club we should strive to emulate, Just to think Sterling was 49m and Mahrez just 400k wow
Tomorrow a must win and on to Leicester game
Coyg.

Can't imagine the vitriol that would hit this board if Spurs were to go on and win the league and we let it slip through our fingers. Would like to see us win decisively tomorrow to settle my fears.

Ive said it before red, if that ever happened, it would have to be the firing squad.

Leicester and Spurs maybe laughing now but just wait until their Billionaire backers get bored and clear off and we're free from our spending restrictions because of the stadium.
Then we'll see.

06 Feb 2016 19:40:33
Surely a joke post 62? I laughed anyway. :)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 19:42:47
Bit harsh mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 19:55:09
What you mean they don't have Billionaire backers? And our financial restrictions ended 3 years ago?
Makes ya think doesn't it :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 20:34:11
I'm too sure about that mate, Its all about team ambitions. And the beginning of the season Leicester didn't have star players but woth thier ambitions now they do, spuds they have a very young team that are very likely to stick together espacially now they will get champions league football and money.
I think we need to look at our selves and bored need to have a good look too and see where they want ro be apart from top 4 achievement.
We are a big club with great history and with money we have we should be aimimg a lot higher and be top team in Europe.

06 Feb 2016 20:34:18
Can't tell if you are being serious lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 20:43:02
It's fair enough G62. You do start to wonder when the hype surrounding us winning the leauge this year because the overall competition is poor, but we have no more points now that any other year! It's not a case of missing out its a case of the same old! If there is anyone out there that thinks spuds or Leicester still won't be in it till the end then they need to give their heads a good old wobble.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 20:44:43
Gunner you know first and foremost our club is a business, where as other owners come in with the only intention of creating a winning foorball team.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 21:32:10
Yeah it was tongue in cheek Dags, personally I think as a club from board to manager to players to fans we have been finding excuses for so long it's become the norm us.
In terms of the premier league we are not just a big club we are giants but giants with a wish list rather than real expectations of any one from anyone else, not really.
Its not expected of Arsene to make us champions again just hoped for and the same with our players if they fail to deliver this season yet again who will be shipped out to make way? Arteta Rosicky and Flamini! The rest like Arsene are as safe as houses with no threat to thier Arsenal futures at all, they are not fighting for their futures like players at other clubs are and they have no real need to prove themselves to anyone.
We've become a giant with a very cosy little luvy attitude.

06 Feb 2016 21:53:53
I'm with you now G62 :-)

Ed025,
You got to be happy with that mate?

Maybe Martinez should hit the disco dancefloor every Friday night :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - your right there dags..and we danced all over them potters today mate..."its a 10 from ed"..

06 Feb 2016 18:39:38

You are normally a bit of a Craig Revel Horwood but you should be Bruno Tolioni tonight, Everton deserve that :-)

In fairness, they have been the 2 best teams in Prem this season.

Now, we will find out what our manager and this team is made of.

06 Feb 2016 21:05:27
Being human that's very defeatist, there's a long long way to go yet and i'm sure citeh will still have a say.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:58:57
What ever happens with Leicester next week, they have a run of fixtures that could take them out of sight until the last three games. Then anything could happen, i suggest a win tomorrow and a win next week against them is a 100% only option, just to keep tabs. After then there is nothing us citeh or spuds can do to stop them., they don't play any of us again. They also don't have draining euro games . I know we won't after barca, but i'm on about Leicesters situation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2016 18:09:35
Leicester are 100% in the drivers seat.
It's theirs to lose, but as much as it hurts, if they win league than bloody fair play to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 12:50:35
Right Leicester have two very tough away games! If they don't get beat in either games we have to seriously consider them as rivals . Lose both games then parity is restored.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2016 17:37:19
I think we are the ones that need to improve to prove serious rivals to them not the other way round. You lot are very dismissive of Leicester and bigging us up, when we are not living up to the hype.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 18:13:52
Agree,
It's not about Leicester winning or losing, its about us winning.
We have been pi55 poor for last 4 games but Leicester keep rolling along.
Beat Bournemouth, than definitely beat Leicester and we are back in.

Anything less and I'm going to throw my Giroud duvet set and Theo tea cosy in the bin.

God, I'm scary when I get serious.
GGGRRRR.

06 Feb 2016 16:55:18
Beep beep what's that noise it's the raver and the Tottenham boys. We Are the main threat to Leicester for the title.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Feb 2016 17:02:54
Calm down raver son still a long way to go yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:24:33
Now you've beaten all the big teams you've got no excuses not to win it now raver, what an easy run of games you've got left, you should win every game! Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:27:32
You said it Raver,
Just 'noise' :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you have to hand it to them dags, they are doing brilliantly...credit where its due mate..

06 Feb 2016 17:46:41
Wodbod returns lol, all season you have been laughing at us but you Are not laughing now wodbod. You are slipping down to 4th and we are 2nd I the league playing fantasy football is that why you have not been on the spurs banter site for a while lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 18:02:26
Raver it would be churlish and disrespectful to knock your team, although you would us, but when the pressure builds, look out for wobbly legs syndrome.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:54:47
Ed25, good ein for you guys today. And as for the spuds, its not a coincidence were they are at the moment, they playing well and hopefully they will fall short, they have a tough game next week and if city play the way they today and they can beat them, but city will have something to prove too. Still lots game to be played and lots can change.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your certainly right moe..still a long way to go mate and any out of arsenal leicester or spurs to win it would do me..proper clubs..

06 Feb 2016 18:21:46
Agree Ed,
I have been singing their praises (through gritted teeth) all season.

Just keep it under your Stetson please mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - will do partner..

06 Feb 2016 17:48:26
Beating Watford, Sunderland, palace and Norwich in a row is classed as brilliantly, yes they are playing well but that should be standard for any top four team, there biggest test will be in April.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 20:44:31
Steve there is only one team that is the master of wobble and that's us mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 21:01:50
No gro spurs are prone to it as well when the heat is turned up, we have been the benifactors for the fourth place trophy on many occasions.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 23:17:08
I think that it is just a true reflection of the Spurs team of late. But there is no question that they are in the mix this year. 1 they are marginly better and there's no Chelsea and city are crap and were well I guess the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 16:07:13
Have to admit, I have taken Leicester with a pinch of salt until now.

That's changed after today.

Absolute respect for them.

06 Feb 2016 17:03:18
The biggest advantage Leicester have imo is they've got nothing to prove have they, the big teams e. g us have something to prove every year so when we win/ lose its on the front cover of every newspaper, if the likes of Leicester (last year) won it would never be front page news would it so I think that's one of their greatest advantages. If they still didn't win the league people wouldn't say they bottled it would they, more like they just don't have the pedigree or whatever.

On a more Arsenal related subject, I can't remember the last time 3 points were so vital to defining our season, like if we win tomorrow it'll take us within 5 points of Leicester again but if we lost not only would the spuds be 3 points ahead but we'd be 8 points off top! It's going to be a very season defining two weeks I think.

Love it that everyone from critics, fans, twitter users ( Mr Morgan) , presenters all think they can do better than Wenger. Go ask Gary Neville who spoke a lot of sense is finding it in real life.

I am not saying Wenger is perfect but he has done pretty well for us and I am happy for him to stay and bring more silverware. Yes he frustrates but I think all managers do - football and non football. Can you imagine how we could pick apart your decisions or even your driving if he was constantly scrutinised and people at work had a bigger team because they had much much more money.

06 Feb 2016 14:42:24
To be honest, Leicester City truely deserve it. IMO they are most consistent team.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would love them to win it moe..

06 Feb 2016 14:46:01
Big pressure on us now to win today and beat Leicester next week otherwise they may well be too far ahead to catch.

The question is Leicester after winning today are now expected to win it now which will bring a different pressure on them something they have not been used to yet, can they handle being leaders? .

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - i hope they can ryan..

06 Feb 2016 14:50:28
They play without fear have fantastic discipline work rate and are great to watch what's not to like and admire about them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - very true mate..

06 Feb 2016 14:55:03
'If' we can get6 points from the next two games then its wide open, anything less then The Foxes could well pick up the PL title.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 14:58:31
We won't win today Ryan no way.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 15:20:27
Cant see Leicester coming to us and being happy with a draw, obviously they'd take it but would see it as 2 points dropped, that's not a slight on us just an appreciation exactly where Leicester are mentally right now, not cocky or overconfident just very determined and single minded about what they want need to do and are prepared to put in to get it .

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 16:04:07
Good spot Derby :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 16:39:39
He-he, sorry I meant a win tomorrow is must before we even think about Leicester next week.

Big Up To Leicester they are in the race till the end now for sure. It will just be interesting to see how they handle the pressure of now being title favourites as time goes on and we get closer to the end.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:09:52
I don't know if they can't handle pressure ryan mate. They were under pressure last year and they well to stay in the premier league, now its even more encouging pressure they feel I believe. Watching todays game against city I'm not sure that they crumble what so ever, they are indeed very disciplined and playing with no fear. If not arsenal (obviously because I'm fan) then definately Leicester which very well deserved.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 14:58:56
Let's be straight about it! They are the best team in the leauge right now 👏.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 17:36:37
Yeah even if they don't eventually win the title they are team of the season no doubt and deserve all the credit.

It will be interesting to see if they can cross the line the pressure of leading the league increases the closer you get to the finish line. The pressure is totally different to the pressure of fighting for survival in the league so will be all new to them. The problem I feel for them will be more when they play the relagation strugglers as opposed to likes of us in that they will now be expected to take the attack to them more and expected to dominate and win.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 20:45:29
They beat city away today pressure on! That's a big enough indicator to me.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Feb 2016 13:35:30
Leicester 1 up. we could really do h it being a draw.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i want leicester to win bambam, if city get too close they have the strength in depth to push on and win the league..

06 Feb 2016 14:00:36
Two up now - impressive recent results from Leicester in games everyone thought they would drop points in.

Pep to city mourinho looking increasingly likely to be at utd next season Liverpool have Klopp who will IMO make them serious contenders next season or the one after that plus Poch already producing great things just 18 months into his spurs career.
Not sure where Chelsea will go for their next manager but I do think if they don't get it right they could be heading for some utd style coiuple of seasons.
Competition for not just the title but also for the top 4 might well be at an all time high next season after a low this season.
