Torreira will be wrapped up some point in the next week. That's it for first team signings so can we all please just stop with the incessant speculation and questions to the Ed's about who else is arriving. N'zonzi and Banega was never going to happen neither was Seri. Soyuncu was an alternative to Sokratis as Ed002 said. Lozano is a pipe dream, Andre Gomes was never an option and simply made up by the tabloids and The interest in Pavon either ended along with Wenger's tenure or Arsenal were scared off by the price tag. Anyway Ornstein has spoken and the man is spot on he clearly has a high-ranking official at the club feeding him information. Get Ramsey's contract sorted, sign a youngster for the future and get excited for the upcoming season.

Reports on Sky that Arsenal are in talks for Nzonzi. It would be awesome if we signed him. A pairing of Torreira and Nzonzi in front of the back four would add the type of protection we have needed for over a decade.

Sky also had us heavily linked with Seri, Pellegrini, etc. and nothing ever came of it. If Ornstein definitively states Arsenal have completed their first team signings then you can Pretty much take it as Gazidis or Kroenke stating it themselves. Please RG enough with the N’zonzi crap it’s not going to happen.

Sky isn't aiming at earning a reputation for its accuracy only for the interest thier fairytales generate.

Rg i think nzonzi (and torreira) would be the last piece of the defence correcting overhaul. I would be happy then if we signed no one else but i think there might be an attacker after a few departures.

Yes, a winger and possibly a replacement for Ramsey if he doesn't extend his deal.

That's good enough for me Ed002. Torreira and a winger would make this a very good summer window for Arsenal and next season that bit more exciting than it already is.

Depends who Dick and Sven have lined up as replacements I guess.
For me Ramsey Ozil doesn't work unless Dick can get Aaron to be more team and defensive duties minded and I take Mesut over Aaron if push comes to shove.
Danny? Subs bench is the best he can hope for and I'm not sure that's enough for him or us as I can't see the day he will get ahead of Pea or Lacasette in the pecking order.

Hope we keep them. Ramsey has been one of our most consistent players for some time - when he's on song, we play well. Welbeck is not first choice, but puts in an unbelievable shift whenever he's asked, and given his strength and pace, is a great option to have coming off the bench to hassle defenders.

If either refuses to sign a new deal we might be forced into a sale, but I really hope we don't - replacing either of them generally would be a pain, but once you take into account the fact they're homegrown it really limits our options, or means we'll be going into the new season with a squad exceptionally light on first team players.

Fingers crossed the new contracts negotiators are across it.
