Ozil: he has covered the most distance since his return from injury for us (lazy), also 3 goals and 7 assists in 9 games, he also has the 3rd best ever assist per minutes in the premier league, to top it off he won our player of the month.

Not bad for a 'terrible season' and definitely not bad to say he 'isn't even trying for Arsenal'. (These stats are based on what I've heard from someone so please excuse me if I am mistaken).

I saw this quote today and thought I'd share: 'If you don't understand Mesut Özil, go to Craven Cottage every week and you can applaud Scotty Parker for running around and trying very hard'

I was with you all the way until you dissed Scotty P, call yourself perfect! You should be ashamed and hang your towl on the outside door handle tonight, tut tut

There is always someone wanting to beat down on our players, Ozil is just in the barrel for now, with Ramsey back and Wilshere not far off he'll get a break.

It's been a case of pass the parcel all season, Chambers to Mertesacker to Giroud to Wilshere to Szczesny to Gibbs back to Wilshere to Ramsey to Walcott back to Wilshere to Welbeck and over to Ozil.

May have missed a few their, oh Flamini to Podolski to Inter Milan.

No way do I want to see the back of Ozil and mentioned yesterday the impressive stats from Coquelin, currently the best CM in the premiership. Congrats to him too.

Thing is we need to start looking up again to challenge for big honours. Say How many of our players would get in Bayern's team. Probably just Sanchez. Kos would be there or there abouts. We are building slowly I guess.

Fgs TPG why don't you just marry ozil? And G69, get some tablets for that scotty Parker fetish

To be fair, it is a bit harsh on Parker, his workrate is one of the things that has earned him a great career at both club and international level. The fact that he is now playing in the lower part of the championship doesn't change that but I liked the quote anyway.

337, I'm simply responding to current criticism of Arsenal and Ozil from both fans and pundits, it was not just a spontaneous rant of admiraton for the guy.

LOL RED, love the coq posts, u really are trying to push this argument(no one really is buying it by the way).

are u kidding me? Surely even your total bias, red tinted, deluded self knows coq is no where near the best CM in the prem? Or even on your team.

'oh but the 'stats' say he is', pssshhh!! the stats also say he's played about 5 games this season!! To even suggest he anywhere near a good player is foolish let alone up there with a player like Matic.

And to think, u joked about poor young fresh on our page. Laughable.

I would not care if our centre foreword was a transsexual with three bosoms and owned a black Irish wolfhound if scored 20 plus goals in would adore him/her

Well in the world of macho footballers David Walliams would scare the sh#t out even Roy Keane

06 Mar 2015 18:37:01
Sorry mate but David Walliams is welcome to play full back centre back wing or up top but not DM, the DM has to not just be the part he has look the part, also his hair both on his head and facially needs to be of a standard too.

Popped over to the United page. These are some of the comments I came across in the few posts I read:

We are always able to get the better of Arsenal and let's hope that continues on Monday as well.

Bring on the gunners Monday, confident about this one as those Londoners always seem to roll over and let us win.

Beating Arsenal on Monday could be a spring board to bigger and better things. We tend to find a way against Arsenal and I very much expect to see our name in the hat for the semi's

There is a ring of truth to it, but boy do I hope we make them eat their words!

Arsene should make our boys read the United Banter page just to get them fired up for Monday

I think they have every right to be confident, even at their worst they have beaten us or rather we've beaten ourselves.

The two games against them along with those against Liverpool and Chelsea before seasons end will determine how much this team and Wenger have changed.

Positive results in all of them will go someway to get some to start believing that Wenger is not beyond his sell by date.

We have the players to beat them but we need to see a team of players with the mentality to beat them.

Should we play our strongest team against Man U on Monday or should we rotate the team and play the likes of Szczesny, Chambers, Monreal, Welbeck, Oxlade, Walcott and Ramsey, who didn't start against QPR.

06 Mar 2015 09:50:30
Strongest 11 possible please! We have a genuine chance at silverware in the FA cup.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2015 10:11:05
We should and Arsene will play our strongest available 11 on Monday.
Its about more than winning a quarter final its about more than retaining the fa cup its self ITS ABOUT BEATING UTD AT OLD TRAFFORD :-), just the thought of it makes me happy and the reality! now that would be something :-)

I can't see how we couldn't play our strongest possible XI, or whatever team Wenger feels is best possibly suited to win the game. I think we'll see Monreal and Ox come back into the first team in place of Rosicky and Gibbs. Controversial, but i would play Welbeck instead of Giroud. i'm sure he'd love a crack at Man U in his favoured position, plus i think pace is the best way to threathen the Utd defence. Will also help us win the midfield battle if Ozil/Caz/Ramsey have more space.

We beat Man U or even take it back to the Emirates then we have a real chance..
