If you had a chance to strengthen the team, which of the two needs urgency? a CB (keep things tight at the back and have a chance of getting narrow wins) or a CF (improving your chances of scoring yet lagging behind defensively and being vulnerable at conceding goals)

Defo a ST, whilst we do need a top CB, a ST can win games and if we could go 2-3 up rather then getting stuck at 0-0 or 1-1 the opposing team are less likely to come back.

Definitely both.

We need a 25 goals per season man (PL) and another CB.

How many times this season do we concede with opposition's first attack of the game?

I'd say bionic legs and titanium back bones. ;-)

Of course strenthening all depends on who leaves. if Sanchez walks that's a BIG hole to fill.

Nice one stoner.

I think Wenger's going to say, we've got Gabriel and Chambers to fill in at CB.
And then he'd say, Welbeck didn't play much last season so he's like a new signing plus Walcott didn't have enough game time under his belt so he's hoping he'll come good.
Like always, we get linked to top strikers during the transfer period but Wenger plays his game and ends up saying there are no quality strikers available.
Who would take Loic Remy if he were available? He's a decent goal scorer.

Most definitely both, but if I had to choose I would invest in the defence. The weakness at the back infects the entire side with nervousness and anxiety. If there was a sense that the back four were tight, the rest of the side would relax. How many times do we see a one or even two nil lead disappear as the anxiety levels rise and we concede silly goals against mediocre opposition. Start at the back, if we concede less, we win more games.

Very frustrated by the injury to the Ox.

Not because he is crucial to the squad at the moment, BUT because its yet another injury in training.

I honestly think England is losing an entire generation of players, because they all become glass when they come to arsenal

Theo (out for the majority of the last 3 years)
Wilshere (out for 2 years)
Ox (out for 1 year)
Welbeck (out for 1 years)
Gibbs (lasts 5-6 games max)
Jenko (was out for 6 months)

Rarely are these injuries during a match.

More importantly, Arsenal are losing a generation of players.

Anyone know it have a feeling what will happen with Arteta?

I think it's pretty obvious he will retire but do you think he will go straight into coaching, if so where City, Tottenham, Arsenal?

As long as he isn't at Arsenal next year I don't care.

He scored some wonderful goals for the opposition this year.

So the Ox is out for another 2 months.

Would everyone like to see him stay, or is it time to move him on?

I think he might really kick on at another team, and we might regret selling him. But if we were to replace him with someone more consistent, I'd probably be okay with seeing him leave.

Is Arteta likely to stay at Arsenal as a coach or is he going City with Guardiola?

Gardiola after both Artetta and Theo for city?
Ummm they sure they don't want to rethink their getting rid of Pelgrini decision :-)
