Benteke take a bow son. Chuck him around better players I see him pushing on

07 Apr 2015 22:33:01
I will see your Benteke and raise you my Charlie Austin.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 22:34:13
But does he make your final 300 man squad Diarby that's the question :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 22:58:08
300? Has he been made to cut it down?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 23:04:44
He'll be 301 but I'm allowed 400 per season.

Honestly he's so much better than Aston villa. If Mario can play for Liverpool so can he.If add can add can play for spurs so can he.

Not many defenders like to play against him

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 02:01:46
I agree, great striker. One amazing season doesn't define a player but I think he's quality even when you regard his steady form since his injury.

I'm sure someone was telling me, on here not long ago, that he was cack.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - do you not think he doesn't use his strength enough? He should bully every defender he comes up against, he has more raw power than just about anyone I have ever seen, but he just doesn't do it. Until he learns to throw his weight around and make use of that power, he will always be potentially special but actually just good.}

08 Apr 2015 08:42:13
Don't forget he's been playing under Paul Lambert dark days them.

He does bully defenders but I agree he should do It more he bullied chelsea defence but got sent off last year I think.

Raw diamond but there's a class player inside that will eventually break free.

Him or Mario . No brainer

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 09:18:41
I agree he could be a great player in the premier league. Needs to make that step up though to really mature I feel.

When comparing him to Mario though I think it's fair to say that mario is a "raw diamond". He has the potential to be a world beater but we all know why he isn't achieving it and why he might never, which is sad.

Have to agree with dags about Austin aswell, the guy is a class act and knows exactly where the net is. I'd love to him around better players. He has one hell of a shot, works hard, has power and has that bit of finesse about him. Plus he's young and English, would not mind him at Arsenal at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 09:42:04
Derby, Mario or Nicky Bendtner is a no brainer so it's not really saying a lot for Benteke. Lol. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 10:00:08
I see you're middle table mediocre strikers ie Remy, Bony, austin and benteke and raise you giroud + welbeck

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Apr 2015 10:18:20
More than drogba ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - at his current age, yes. Drogba developed his over time. It would be a good career for him to study, how he learnt over time to use his power to bully everyone he came up against. I remember the way he would push Carragher about, only Drogba ever made it look easy to bully him.}

08 Apr 2015 10:58:54
i honestly think remy is better than people make out.

welbeck or benteke. one winner there for me. welbeck we thought could finally become a forward and that manu were missing something. nope

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Apr 2015 11:47:38
A bit late Ed001, but yes I definitely agree with you. He has fantastic strength mixed with fantastic pace and aerial ability as well as the potential to devestate even the biggest defenders. Perhaps he is scared of injury again since his last injury took him from a ridiculously prolific season to a year of finding form? Maybe not but you do hear a lot about the mental damage that a physical injury can cause (players pulling out of tackles etc).

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I felt he lacked a bit of aggression before the injury, but you could be right about it making it more pronounced since. It really does affect players.}

Stayed in a nice hotel the other day, had problems with the pay tv though.
So, asked reception if the porn in my room was disabled, and,
she replied "god know, it's normal porn you weirdo"

I stayed in a poor hotel the other day. When checking in the receptionist said "Do you have a good memory for faces?". I said "why", and she replied "because there's no shaving mirror in your bathroom....."

Take your pick who would be your suprise of the season, coquelin or bellerin, i have to say for me Le coq

Believable2 Unbelievable0

07 Apr 2015 20:17:18
In order
Le Coq amazing turn around.
Belerin from young pretender to first choice contender.
Cazorla I thought he was done.
Monreal from unrated to undropable as first chioce LB.
Big well done to them all without their contribution our turn around wouldn't have happened.

I think you've missed the big one, it's hands down Mr Arsene Wenger. What ever caused it, injury, a dodgy coat zip, a team meeting or the hand of God, I can guarantee none of us saw that surprise coming.

To answer your question though mate exactly as g62 said.

It has been and I hope it continues to be a season of surprises to remember. :-)

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 21:17:39
i would also add giroud even his biggest fans would admit he didn't score too many pre injury but since he's come back he's been incredible and we wouldn't be anywhere near where we are if he was still out. i hold my hands up as one of his critics, but i'm always happy to be proved wrong :)

Great shout that Red, absolutely spot on mate.
Eden we all have opions on players mate but being open to having them changed is what separates the men from the boys.

07 Apr 2015 22:14:28
Red Dog,
Nice to see you and I being proved correct about Wenger, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 22:17:42
Le Coq for me, we're a totally different team now still free flowing but solid without the ball now.
And as for Wenger, I'm sorry but it's more an accident than forethought, if he'd addressed our glaringly obvious weaknesses at the beginning of the season as he should have done where would we be now?
Not saying get him out as i believe now the problems have almost been fixed for him he still may have a chance of going for the premier league title next season

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 22:23:05
Gonna go along with Red Dog.

Wenger taking his head out of the sand and listening to his players prior to the Etihad game.

A game changer, so to speak.

Man with two left feet goes in to a shoe shop and asks for a pair of flop flops

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - thats poor sussex...you need to up your game if you want to challenge dags and 337 mate..

07 Apr 2015 19:00:12
Bloke robs a bank and just as he's leaving his mask slips
He says to the first cashier " did you see my face? Only quickly she replys, bang he shoots her.
He says to the second cashier " what about you did you get a look at my face? Briefly she says so he shoots her too.
Then he turns to a man in the que ' what about you did you get a look at me? No replys the man not even a glimpse but my wife did

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - better than the sussex debacle G62, but still a bit blackpool postcard humour mate 6/10...could do better.. :)

07 Apr 2015 19:34:13
My mums favorite this one may she RIP; two fish in a tank one says to the other 'how do you drive this thing' the other replies 'holy crap a talking fish!'

My Botox Doctor died last week.

Would like to express my sympathy to his family.

But, unfortunately I can't.

If manu beat city do people see viera coming in for pellegrini? don't know how id feel about it :(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Apr 2015 11:27:20
I doubt city will be open to giving an untried manager a go, everything they've done since they became rich has been about paying what it takes to get who and what they want rather than promote from within.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are correct, Vierra will not be the next coach of Manchester City.}

07 Apr 2015 13:50:44
No chance Diarby.

He's too low profile for the City owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 14:37:38
i think he will command respect unlike pelle who they walk over.

08 Apr 2015 10:02:21
Been the only constant at the club since Sven or hughes (I forget who signed him)

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 09:26:41
I wonder if Bellerin will be played further forward in the future, he's got the pace to beat anyone to the byline and get a cross in, his crossing is good, he can finish and he's very skilful in the ball, seans like a natural winger. He's got more cultured feet than dags albeit a different sort of culture

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Apr 2015 09:57:04
In the league this season Bellerin has 1 goal every 6 games, falcao has one in every 4.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 10:09:27
Bellerin was a wide attcking player when we signed him. Wenger altered him to an attacking full back and that is where I believe he will remain.
Along with Coquelin, I am so impressed with his progress this season, he looks the real deal.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 12:45:49

Exciting end to the season, with an FA Cup Semi-Final and possible final to come, as well as the Premier League run in for a possible second place finish.
A big thank you to Arsene Wenger, who has turned the team round and with 2 or 3 top class summer signings, we look in good shape to challenge on all fronts next season.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - very true robbie..

07 Apr 2015 13:53:49
Top post Roberto.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 06:41:37
Looking towards the summer transfer window, I can only see us make the following signings:

1) Keeper - If Szczesney departs
2) No defenders, we have 4 full backs, 3 centre backs, plus Chambers, who can play both roles
3) Defensive midfield player - if Arteta & Flamini depart
4) A wide attacking midfield player - If Walcott departs

We have a very full, high quality squad, so I can't see any more than 2 or 3 first team signings tops.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

07 Apr 2015 11:59:29
Personally I think we should
Go all out for Cech if we can get him simply because having top keeper apposed to a good keeper can as both utd and chavs have seen this season make all the difference in games.
Replace mertesacker because of his lack of speed both Le Coq and Kos are constantly keeping an eye on him through out games ready to cover him rather than concentrating 100% on their own job.
A DM simply because Le Coq is unlikely to go a whole season uninjured and having to revert to playing a pretend DM would be heartbreaking now.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Apr 2015 19:16:43
Agree that we should do everything to sign Cech. Would like to see Scheiderlin or someone as good come in to help out Le Coq, as he will need cover and in some games we may want to play both. I know we now have 4 CBs including Chambers, but I hope we splash out for another as well, going to need someone when Mert goes so might as well get them in and settled with the prem.
All three of those and it would be an absolutely massive summer for us, but hey if Arsene wants to throw a Reus or a Dybala in there too then why not! (Yes, my fantasy world is a nice place)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they should put you in charge of the kitty lemon, some cracking names there mate..
