Gotta keep them all. gives us options to rotate positions.
Agree0

07 Feb 2016 23:44:57
The Ox for me G62, as long as when no one is looking I can sneak Campbell back out of the broom cupboard and back into the first team squad.
Agree0

07 Feb 2016 23:45:02
Think I would keep Theo as he gives us a striker option.
Agree0

08 Feb 2016 02:03:55
Theo, but I don't think wenger is the best to get the best out of him. Unfair on ox and cambo but they haven't quite got thetools theo has.
Agree1
Disagree0
08 Feb 2016 03:54:45
Campbell for me, he's shown enough class plus huge potential with the small amount of games he's had, and the way he grabbed his chance to prove his worth also says a lot for the boy.
Agree0
Disagree0
08 Feb 2016 08:41:14
It's got to be the ox for me purely because he has more potential than Theo and has the homegrown thing over Campbell, otherwise it would be Campbell fo sure.

08 Feb 2016 08:17:54
I'd go Campbell as well.
Agree0

08 Feb 2016 10:10:32
I'd go Ox simply because prior to this season he's been making very good progress and last season only he was putting in consistent performances, very tough on Joel who's done nothing wrong I know.

08 Feb 2016 10:12:51

08 Feb 2016 10:53:42
:-) Dags, I do think we need to put a bit of pressure on our players and make them fight for their Arsenal futures.
At the moment we just seem to rotate and keep the cosy club all happy, if our players we're more competive with each other on a day to day basis we'd soon see the benefits on match days.
Henry and Wrighty both said at the start of the season that Ox and Theo were both happy to share a place and that attitude is not conducive to making us the best we can be IMO.

Must admit and i don't like saying it but of the top four teams Leicester and then sp sp spu spur, them are plaing like they can do it. Where as the two teams with experience are huffing and puffing. As we know that can all change in a very short space of time and we all live in expectations that it does, but we need players to step up and start playing. With the exception of cech every player in that team has critics and fans to answer some big questions too. We got an unispiring win today and i will take an unispiring win next week and against the spuds but we need to start motoring at some point.

I think next aunday can tell a lot about all the top 4 mate. Is and Leicester and manc against the spuds. Its probably a must win game for city if they want to keep the gap small for the top spot.
But nonetheless it's a must win game for us too if we want to be champions.
Agree0
Disagree0
07 Feb 2016 19:10:09
If we beat Leicester, we are back in it, obviously, losing is not really an option, i would suggest drawing is not good enough either. We have been digging a hole for ourselves recently and we need to star filling it in again. Leicesters next 8 fixture with no euro football are all winnable.
Agree0

07 Feb 2016 19:54:52
What if its two draws lol. Will be a good weekend of football no doubt.
Agree0
Disagree0
07 Feb 2016 20:10:46
Leicester would settle for draws all round Derby but I think they might have slightly higher ambitions for them selfs mate, I really think they would see it as 2 points dropped as they are flying and we're not exactly at our best right now.
Agree0
Disagree0
07 Feb 2016 20:26:55
And there lies the problem.
We have to beat Tom, Dick and Harry, if we don't we are in trouble.
It's the weight of expectation that is on our shoulders.
Leicester on the other hand can play with the expectation of "if we win we win, if we lose, hey ho no biggie".
Pressure, what pressure?

07 Feb 2016 19:03:32
Have you seen us play the last few games, first things first, we need to win next week just to stay with them, they have got a great run of games against teams they have beaten already. Then we need to start winning again on a regular basis. The bookies don't have them favourites for nothing, they have a real chance and don't forget that. They don't need to change much, we do.

07 Feb 2016 18:16:06
The best way to emerge as winners against leceister is to stop them from their counter attacking play and also sort out set-pieces. They're this good at it.
I think our players should play every game by not basing just on performance but a title winning mentality. Therefore, every game is a must win.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
07 Feb 2016 17:14:58
who would you guys like to start upfront against leicester next week?
for me i would start theo because i can see it being a fast paced game with loads of counter attacking football,
i must say a big well done to leicester though, they are really holding their own and must admit i did think they would start to drop off after xmas.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
{Ed025's Note - i have been holding my own for years mark but no one congratulated me!..even when things were dropping off after christmas mate.. :)
07 Feb 2016 17:48:49
The biggest mistake will be to play Mertasacker. Leicester are at their best counter attacking so we need the extra pace of Gabriel at the back with Kos.
We need to let them have some more possession to hurt them back on the break so Walcott up front, I would also play Campbell and Sanchez either side. Wenger likes integrate possesion football so he will stick with Giroud no doubt. We need to look at our win at Leicester and analyse what worked well for us to win that game, But Leicester are a far more confident animal now that we played them last. We have to be at our best.

07 Feb 2016 18:13:31
When we played Leicester last time theo and sanchez terrorised them and yes theo was up front and yes it was just total counter attack football. I don't think we are in the same form or playing the same way at the moment though. Massive weekend all round next weekend.
Agree0
Disagree0
07 Feb 2016 18:06:06
Definitely Giroud, with Walcott and Sanchez wide. I would also play Gabriel instead of Mertesacker. I would leave out the dire Flamini and play Coquelin, probably alongside Ramsey, but I would also consider Elneny, which won't happen.
Agree0
Disagree0
07 Feb 2016 18:18:26
Geez ed ;)
I thought we should have played walcott up front today, but don't think he would cut it with the packed defends.
But against Leicester it would be the right pick having walcott lead the attack.

07 Feb 2016 18:31:49
Theo was uptop until Sanchez injury? If so bringing him back to fill in is fine but he can now go back uptop.

When we played Leicester last time it was an open free for all with both sides scoring and conceding lots of goals plus posts and bars rattled along the way, we came out on top of that toe to toe encounter but I'm not sure its a good idea play that way again this time, Leicester are taking their chances at the moment and we're not exactly prolific in front of goal right now.

I think the whole team has dried up, giroud 12, sanchez 6, ozil 6, walcott 3, ramsay 3, is just not good enough. Some players not been playing or injured but not good enough by any standard for a team with ambitions ofcwiining of winning the league.

In order to win the league, we must win all home matches and avoid defeat at difficult away matches to Man C, Man U, Eveton and Tottenham. Possibly picking up at least one, if not two wins in these difficult four matches. It's a tall order, But, with the injured players returning it is possible. We need to start with a win today and beat Leicester next week to close the gap between us and them to 2 points, whilst points must be dropped in next week's match between Man C and Tottenham. A draw would be perfect.
Hopefully Coquelin will be back today and we will have seen the last of dreadful Flamini. If Wenger picks Flamini, he has lost the plot and we will finish 4th at best.
I would like to see Ox on the right and start with Walcott up front, hopefully utilising the pace of Ox, Walcott and Sanchez on the counter attack against Bournemouth.

I have been SHOCKED by the last two Leicester results, Both times teams had attacked them, and been caught on the break. I'm hoping that when they play teams In and about the relegation, and the teams sit back and will take a draw they might find it hard to break them down. Spurs do seem to be on a roll, which I find more frightening.
I really don't think Leicester will be in the top 3.CITY were shocking yesterday YAYA just wasn't interested
Today for me it is about the result not the performance I will take a Cech header in the 94th, as long as we win and then move on from another shocking weekend.
Everybody talks about our run in.
We are ARSENAL home or away we are difficult to beat.13/ 14 games to go that's a very long way. Teams will get nervous and when you need to win its a lot harder Leicester haven't needed to win yet to keep up, well not to win the league anyway.

G62,I agree. It's about time our players showed some fight and desire to win the league, everyone bar Sanchez seems too comfortable with life at the club . I think Wenger should be whipping up a desire and determination to fight instead of whinging about other teams tactics and decisions that don't go our way. Making excuses is deflecting from the fact we need players who are willing to stand up and lead . Time for them to knuckle down from kick off and earn a win instead of playing tentatively and expecting to win.

Personally I think retaining Rosicky and Artetta and affording them squad giving Jack a payrise for? Just sends out a you don't need to contibute anything to be rewarded at Arsenal.
I do believe everyone is far to comfortable at the club and no one feels their fighting for their Arsenal futures, I'm not suggesting its deliberate I just think it's human nature for people who feel 100% secure to let their standards drop without realising it.

Ed025, it's just the impression I get when watching interviews. I would like to see a more aggressive attitude when starting games as opposed to feeling our way into a game. I admire Leicester and what they have done this season, and I would like our players to show more steel . We know our team can play good passing football, but there is a time and place for that. If we are serious about winning the league we have to step up our efforts. On a side note, what is your opinion on the walkout yesterday?

{Ed025's Note - i totally agree with the walk out 14, im sick of supporters getting trodden on by these corporate bullies who see fans as cash cows, £77 to watch a game is daylight robbery especially to us northeners, its all right for you london boys and girls who earn £squillions :).....you can watch bundesliga games for £12 and that includes transport!, its a disgrace the way our fans are treated in this country mate and i applaud liverpool supporters for their stance.....rant over..
