The first line amused me “longer than you would care to remember” you only have to remember the last 15 years as not much else happened before that. Joking aside an interesting perspective. See if you can find the video from when Christian Purslow was on the debate and he goes into detail about Chelsea’s youth policy. A good read though mate 👍🏻.

With all of thee comings and goings and more to come - what is the plan for Lacazette - the kid has shown great promise but has been subbed every game and now is on the bench. I am a little concerned we are going screw a up a big signing and not for the first time.

Lacazette started so promisingly, but as can happen with new signings under Wenger his form declined, the same as Kolasinac.
Perhaps, Wenger will use him in EL matches and to give Aubameyang a rest when necessary or Wenger may experiment by playing Aubameyang wide left and Lacazette in the centre.

You can look at it both ways rooster. We have often been soft and giving some players best part of a decade to then find they are never going to be good enough. For me if laca is mature enough he will realise that he’s a very important part of the team . Until iwobi is replaced I think we should continue with auba through the middle and then if needs be take iwobi off move auba into his possition and laca up top.

I think Lacasette arrived full of confidence but slowly but surely had it subbed and benched out of him.

You could see his confidence drop, as time and time again he sets himself up for the ball to be slipped in behind the defence, only for us to continue to pass the ball sidewards in front. Unless we change our style, I can see him becoming another Walcott, in that he just gives up and comes short towards the ball all the time, gets it, passes it sidewards about 5 feet to Xhaka, and does nothing else. I really hope we try both Lacca and PEA together with Ozil feeding through balls quicker.

his problem is he is not used to playing in such a physical league, and with not getting a winter break added in, performances drop, this is why he gets subbed every game after70 min, in the prem 70 mins is like 120mins in the french league, i think come march, warmer weather and softer pitches you will see the best of him again, players need to be given the chance to adapt, just look at morata, scored 8 in 9 over used due to lack of cover now everyone thinks he is shiiiiite, when in fact its a physical league and he is used to a winter break.

We got stuffed by Liverpool in late august early September Ricky and both Laccazette and Kol were playing well prior to that game so but Arsene still left them out for some strange reason, sorry mate but I don't think your explanation is water tight there mate
The fact is everyone but Arsene was mystified by them being on the bench as we all were by Sanchez being benched at Anfield the season before only to be sent on in the second half to try and turn around a game that was already a lost cause after 45 minutes.
Arsene's strange decisions can't be nothing to do with why players don't perform as they can and results go so badly so often mate.
