Hey eds

Apologies if you have covered this topic already but was just curious as to the wilshere situation, it's very quiet on the rumour mill regarding him. Do you expect him to go, I know a lot of posters on here want him gone, but for some reason I just want him prove the doubters wrong and turn into the star we all thought and wanted him to be, much appreciated.

He's staying put mate. They have put him on selling match day programmes.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - so long as he can do that sitting down, as he will spend half the season in plaster....}

08 Jul 2017 07:46:42
I think a season abroad somewhere would be good for him, the premier league is to intense for him and at Bournemouth last season he looked like a passenger most of the time.
A less demanding league might be a good shop window for him to sort out a permanent move for next summer.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 Jul 2017 09:38:57
He would be the perfect replacement for iniesta πŸ˜†.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 20:02:47
If Everton are asking United 90 million for Lukaku and they pay it . What would United pay for Sanchez for Christ sake? .

That's the machine I used the most at the gym dags 😜.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Jul 2017 00:33:35
Sanogo, you'll need the doctor for the cardiac arrest you're in for. Or maybe if Arsenal stump up the Β£400L/ week, Sanchez can perform the surgery.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 19:59:44
I think the player for us is definitely Lemar.
Whether Sanchez stays or not Lemar is quality in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - Sounds a bit dirty

07 Jul 2017 19:26:36
Now this post isn't me saying I believe all this to happen. Just a bit of fun. But looking on the betting market at transfers and thought Il see what odds related to us was most likely. Just a bit of fun really. And what the betting markets reckon.

Alexis most likely to stay very closely followed by going city.

Giroud more likely to go Everton than stay.

Ox very likely to stay followed by Liverpool

Bellerin likely to stay followed by going Barcelona

Wilshere very likely to go West Ham than stay at arsenal

Perez more likely to go Sevilla than stay

Mahrez very likely to go arsenal.

Make of them what you will but that's how the market is atm.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Jul 2017 20:57:16
That's what you call hedging your bets 😁.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 19:22:52
It looks more and more likely sanchez will leave and go to city, what would you think to 30 mil and ilheancho? He looks a decent player scored a few goals with limited play time and its another player, plus get someone like lemar or mahrez.
Would love to see us get aubamyang as a replacement but not looking likely.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Jul 2017 19:26:34
not for me no. i'd take sterling for 25million if it can be done tho.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Jul 2017 20:08:45
Right, you are saying, we take 30 mil + a lad to come and sit on our bench, while citeh win the league. Nah not for me.

07 Jul 2017 20:15:48
Not interested in a kdb swap deal derby?

07 Jul 2017 21:39:33

07 Jul 2017 21:45:40
KDB and a packet of KP for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 16:25:49
Is Jean Seri a realistic transfer? He did nice for Nice this year. but seriously would be a good replacement for Santi.

Also I know this is a shot in the dark but anything on Sanchez that isn't tabloid garbage? One day it's he's staying, today Inter is in. just put me out of my misery.

Plus side Sead and Laca were great bit of early business and Ozil talking as if he's staying!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Jul 2017 18:18:02
I do think sanchez will drop a bombshell soon and say he wants out.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 18:18:06
Gortzeka for me. The kid is the business.

07 Jul 2017 18:52:59

ceballos i think that is his name. Real Betis player. only 20. destroyed italy in the european under 21.His ball retention and dribbling skills are crazy. Think he is the perfect replacement for santi but michael seri is excellent too but won't come cheap. 35 million pounds minimum.

I wouldn't be surprised if we hardly see him this season. Perhaps a season on the bench if we need whilst he learns the ropes. Good bit of work this. Holding said how influential he has been.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 19:51:42
You don't expect to see as much of him this season as last 16? Not expecting to reach the cup final then? :-)

Happy in retirement. Hold on a minute!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 14:47:31
As i've said before Barcelona may find it hard to complete any major signings this summer. The market is inflated and they can't adjust to that. Bellerin has a six year contract and is young and Arsenal will want a fee of Β£45M upfront plus bonuses which they will not pay as they scoffed at the same quoted price for nelson semedo
As for Lacazette he won't flop the timing of the transfer is just right 26 and entering his prime his link up play with ozil will be exceptional you can bet on that and the Thomas Lemar deal will be done but later on in the window.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

07 Jul 2017 14:55:56
Sounds like a plan mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 15:54:27
barca want to eat the entire cake and come around asking for handouts. if they have no money they need to sell neymar and i'm sure a few teams will pay well over 250 mill for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 13:15:20
Ed. With the money being quoted for Lemar and Mahrez being in excess of Β£50m do you think either will come or could there be a plan B for a player yet previously mentioned?

Great work as always Ed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i would think that unless there are a couple of outgoings that lesser profile targets would be the order of the day paul..

07 Jul 2017 17:12:39
I dunno if I agree with you their Ed. Lemar is a big target and correct me if I'm mistaken a week ago there was s bid rejected for him and lacazette on the same day. Guessing they'd be happy to get him in before anyone leaves if that was the case.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 09:13:30
What does Sanchez get paid per week now? Β£150,000? and he wants Β£400,000.

Keep him 1 more year and let him go next summer for free. The club save Β£13,000,000 in wages on him.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

07 Jul 2017 09:28:30
They don't save it mate because they are not spending it? That's what he wants not what we're going to give him so it can't possibly be put into any type of budget or so called money saving lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 11:05:21
To replace Sanchez with a proven like for like replacement (if you can find one) would likely cost 80 millions upwards in transfer fee plus minimum 10 to 15 millions a year in wages so paying him 20 million a year to stay looks financially the best option.
Sanchez is tried tested and the proven article for us who ever came in would be a gamble as all signings are.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 11:33:23
What is point of keeping some one who doesn't want to be here!? I would sell him for a good amount of money and get a decent replacement, I. e. Lemar, Fekir, Mahrez! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 11:40:29
It's hard to disagree with that G62.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 12:49:59
Sen has sanchez told you he doesn't want to be here. He os no different to any top top footballer, he wants wonga and loads of it. Rooney has been on 300,00 for the last three years, its not new just greed of the footballing world. And the player you named who aren't as good would in total cost this club even more for their deals.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 13:25:16
Sen if he signs a new 20 million a year deal he obviously does want to be here, if he doesn't sign a new deal then I agree get what we can for him now because this time next season we have the same problem only without the 40 Γ· millions to help find a replacement
Offer him the dosh if he takes it happy days and if he doesn't then Hey ho it's the way it goes sometimes.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 14:55:52
Yeah, I accept, Steve and G62.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 15:26:12
if we get 50million and use it to get lemar i'm ok with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - "if theres any justice in the world" you will get lemar mate.. :)

07 Jul 2017 18:22:58
Derby, if sanchez goes because we don't satisfy him then that's that but lemar as good as he may or may not be is a gamble and he isn't up to sanchez standard yet, if he ever will be. Lemar and sanchez, yes, to replace, not for me and it will cost us more to do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 18:24:17
Sen, you are too easily convinced. Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 21:41:18
steve lemar yes I have seen enough of him he will be a gem. won't be an instant sanchez but I have said before we won't replace him like for like. it is what it is so let's get it sorted either way.

My friends son has just qualified after many years of hard work as a Doctor. He worked
nearly 80 hours last week. He's on around
25,000 pounds a year.
Let's all have a quick reality check please. πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

07 Jul 2017 06:48:49
I belive the first year salary is Β£26,000, which rises in the second year to Β£30,000. As they gain experience a doctor's salary rises and they can earn substantial sums, which they thoroughly deserve. The problem with public sector pay is that if it rises substantially it has to be paid for and whilst we still have a deficit and enormous debt, this would be a very dangerous route to go down. Don't forget many public sector employees have pensions that would be virtually impossible to provide in the private sector. More importantly, is he a gooner?

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Jul 2017 07:10:05
I hear the money argument but that's life does not bother me. imagine every doctor on 350k a week just not possible. plus money isn't everything just ask steven clauker etc.

well done on the qualification tho.

Agree5 Disagree2

07 Jul 2017 07:32:55
Derby., That's the most ignorant post I've ever read on here. You should be ashamed of yourself. We all know sportsman are paid a premium. The point of the post was to basically to say that when you hear players that are on 150,000 per week then want 400,000 per week it's absolutely ridiculous in the real world. Anyhow I'm sure the eds posted your post to show what an ignoramus you are mate. Sorry Eds.

Agree2 Disagree6

07 Jul 2017 07:40:14
Derby. God forbid if ever you are your family are in the A&E department and a young doctor is trying his best to save your life who is knackered from just working 80 hours.
Just think about Sanchez who is asking 400,000 a week for kicking a ball around. What a complete, well I can't even find a word for you that the Eds would post on here.

Agree1 Disagree6

07 Jul 2017 08:39:24
I for one don't understand how you can be so badly offended by that lanesra! It's a fact. Do you think he's an idiot for saying what players earn doesn't bother him. Should it bother us if it doesn't are we all idiots. Working in the NHS is notoriously a crap deal. You have to go study at uni for years and end up in debt to get paid a little more than a pot washer? Who's the idiot? If there is such thing as heaven then maybe your doctors will end up there! The fact of the matter is that if you decide to work in the NHS then your first motivation should be to make a didfence not money because your in it for the wrong reasons. I personally take my hat of to them. I never did futher education and started as basically a labourer in oil and gas and after the same amount of time that my friends spent at uni I was on 75k a year! Should I be ashamed. I understand that it may be a touchy subject for you mate but I think it's bang out of order to start calling people ignorant because you don't agree.

{Ed001's Note - I can see both sides. You are saying it shouldn't be like that and they are saying but it is so deal with it. Not worth arguing over, both sides are right to a degree.}

07 Jul 2017 09:32:22
Your blinkered mate. No one is disrespecting doctors. Derby simply said what footballers get doesn't concern him and you called him names. Maybe we should all think like you! I think it's you who needs to get real because you simply don't seem to understand how the world works mate because your whining and moaning about things that have nothing to do with you. Anyway back to the pot washingπŸ˜‚.

Agree4 Disagree1

07 Jul 2017 09:47:31
I will never get this why does footballer get 150k a week to kick a ball argument, the fact is footballers or for that matter anyone who is working gets money as dictated by the market, a teacher or a doctor can never earn as much as an elite level sportsman today and it is not unfair, this isn't meritocracy it is basic capitalism, A Hospital or a school do not earn 500mn a year like Man utd did last year why then will a teacher or a doctor be paid the wages a utd player earns.

07 Jul 2017 12:09:53
I never understand why sportsmen constantly get compared to NHS workers. As sanogo said, if money is the motivation to become a doctor, then your in the wrong game really.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Jul 2017 14:49:56
Lanesra. The point is I agree that some workers if not most in NHS get less than what they maybe should and I'm sure derby agrees as well mate. What derby said was he wasn't bothered what footballers get paid NOT he wasn't bothered about what doctors get paid! He even said congrats on the qualification. I didn't like how you then went on to demonise him for something he didn't say. Like pointed out above it's a capitalist society not a socialist one. And you finished your original post by saying reality check. Well as pointed out to you above that is the reality. Please try and not demonise people so easily it's not fair mate.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 16:51:26
LANESRA, think about it this way - the NHS isn't in the business of making money and in fact loses millions a year. How do you expect doctors and nurses to be paid millions a year by an organisation that loses money? Raise taxes even more? Then you and I lose money .

Private doctors make a hell of a lot of money. In most developed countries, being a private specialist in a field means HUGE money.

Now, compare that will footballers where clubs make healthy profits year on year and for them to keep making profits they need to reinvest and this means paying higher wages.

It's simple economics and your failure to understand this still doesn't mean you go about calling people names.

On the issue of Sanchez, I don't think he's worth Β£400K a week, I don't think he's worth over Β£200K a week, but I can assure you that anyone disagreeing with me will not be subjected to any name calling.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2017 18:43:02
