Hello my fellow GOONERS!
Been away for a few days and have just caught up with all the posts.

First of all Congrats to CTR. Great news about your little one mate. Hope he goes from strength to strength.

Secondly a few of you have posted pictures of yourself. I'm over the moon they let you all out for the day. I would love to do the same, but unfortunately there hasn't been a camera invented as yet that truely captures my natural beauty.
I wouldn't want people to feel threatened or inadequate just because of one silly little photo.

Heard that Jack has invested in a lovely little property. Very spacious, twenty odd beds and room service. The address is Victory Ward Whipps Cross hospital.
And before anyone at the club gets any ideas. There's nothing worse then a wasted horses placenta. We've learnt that the hard way.

With those pictures posted, I can now remain on the site when I want to crack one off. Dagenhams going to be the first. The rest will follow shortly ;-)

Come on you gooners, let's do the toffees.

VICTORY THROUGH INJURY.

Question for all you Gooners - We finish 4th, win the FA cup and get knocked out by Bayern on Tuesday. Does Wenger stay or go?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wenger stays if he wants to stay, and goes if he wants to go. If it were up to me with that outcome, I'd want him to stay and hope that A) winning a trophy gives confidence to our players, and spurs (sorry) us on for future years of success. And B) spends a sh*t load of cash in the areas that are needed. No more 'players that will be good in a few years time, 'or 'injury prone risk signings' that aren't a risk. There a bloody certainty of being injured. It always helps to be successful in that area when you don't buy a player already injured. Just a thought.

As always its up to Arsene, we finish 5th lose to Everton and Bayern its up to Arsene.
He will never be sacked and neither should he be, he will walk away if we go backwards of that I'm sure

Agree0 Disagree0

Stay. Winning the cup is an improvement over the last 8 years but would expect significant signings during the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm really unsure on this one. Does a new broom sweep clean in football? On the pitch we all know that you can have the best players in the World but it can take time to gel. Can we afford to have a new manager and sit back and wait for him to get comfortable.? The only thing that says to me Arsene is in limbo is the fact that we have only bought one player, I'm talking about a top quality player Ozil. That said to me that maybe Arsene didn't want to go out in the transfer market and lay out millions just for a new manager to come in with new ideas on what the squad will look like. It would make perfect sense to me for Wenger to act this way. What do you all think.? By the way EDS this is for you. Would you like to see Wenger go or stay now?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no feelings about the matter at all.}

I just want us to have the best chance of medals without a sugar daddy funding it and us playing good football and respecting our values

There are a few ( only a few ) who can do this and one of which manages us and has had his hands tied up behind his back for a number of years

I think he should have two more years and definitely if we win a cup and in champs league

I think he has earned that and we need to be careful what we ask for. We are not tied to him but the next move should be respectful and an immediate step forward

Somehow we need to rediscover belief in ourselves, Liverpool fa cup game all going well until they score and everyone's looking around at each other for guidance and confidence, againgst Bayern we looked great until the penalty miss then we looked like we lost confidence in ourselves again, obviously the sending off ended the chance to rediscover belief in that game.
We are better than we or the players think we just need to believe in us again when we get a knock back I think

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it's a little more to do with tactics against bayern we came out flying pressing the ball closing down high up the pitch! we had nt played like that since prob November I'm pretty sure if the team is told to go out high tempo that's what they do, but I think they are being told to pass and play there normal game and it will happen eventually, but u can't do that every game, why we have not came out flying in every game since the bayern game is beyond me which is why I think the players are being told not to!

I think we should go for all out pace against the Germans they couldn't handle the pressure at the start of the game last time! Get Gnabry Ozil Ox playing behind Podolski as the central striker and I think we have a chance Play Santi Ozil Podolski behind Giroud like we did against Stoke and we have none :/

CHRIS THE REDMAN. I have just read the update on your lovely boy and as a dad of 4 boys I am so so pleased for you mate. I've got to agree with everything you say mate we take the piss wind each other up but when we are faced with the real things in life like what you have been going through its nice to know you have a good network of friends. And although the majority of us have never met I hope that through this site no matter how far apart in the world we all are that we can remain friends and keep everything sweet amongst each other. Your story was very moving Chris you and your wife sound like wonderful parents that's all your son can wish for. Although we have never met I send you and your family my love.

I we don't beat Everton this weekend I feel its back to the drawing board again and prep for next season.
Im sorry to say boys and girls I am now seeing the light for this season and we are heading for a top four place dance off again! Anyhow don't be too dissapointed we have all had the antidote for the dissapointment we feel injected into us for the last 9 years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Love the Wilshere pic Gold's lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I am worried about tomorrow Golds, if we lose I fear the mental strength of the team will break. We see it year on year that losing a big game in a cup competition has detrimental effects on the team. Lose tomorrow, and I don't feel very confident against Bayern. However, win tomorrow, and we have every bit of a chance to win Tuesday. Tomorrow is massive!

Agree0 Disagree0

Boogz mate. Be prepared! That's all I can say to you. The damage had been done from the beginning of last season and the opening of this season when the transfer windows closed. If you want a top class performance you need top class players not just a few here and there. Wenger has been a good manager but we now need a FOOTBALL MANAGER not! a FOOTBALL ACCOUNTANT if we are to go forward . But hey! what do I know.?

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Golds mate.

Okay let's be honest we know that podolski is a major fan favourite! Absolutely love the guy! But here's a question for you if Wenger actually decided to go in for greizmann, a great natural left winger who's tearing up the la liga (yeah I know so can my grandma).

But let's be honest we're craving width now that Walcott's injured.

As much as I love pods, he's not Wenger's fave and I'd see griezmann as a natural fit for us.

Griezmann it is for me!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

134 its a fair point mate,
Poldolski Giroud and Mertascker are all big favorites with most fans they love the club and we love them but are they PL and CL winning players?
Mertascker has been brilliant this season but would he get a game at Chelski city or Bayern because of his lack of pace?
Im not knocking these blokes as I I think there brilliant for the club attitude wise its just there ability at the very top I question

Agree0 Disagree0

We all love the Pod, but it has to be said, he won't be a Gooner next season.

He will definitely leave and who can blame him? I think Inter Milan are sniffing around him too.

Griezmann for Pod? You know it makes sense Rodney.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with G62. There will always be Fan favourites but some (not all ) could be replaced by better suited players. The original post is spot on that Griezmann would be a superior choice to podolski. Podolski isn't a winger and width/ pace is what we need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Still don't think in almost 2 seasons now that Podolski has ever had a real chance to play as the main striker he gets the odd 5mins at the end of a game but I really think he could have been that clinical striker we needed but le boss has never really put any faith in him! Even when Giroud would look knackered he still would prefer to put Bentner on than Pod which is a real shame when you look at his scoring record. My front line for Everton would be Gnabry Ozil Ox with Pod up top! ;)

Guys what do you think of lescott on a free transfer decent 3rd choice cb also I wouldn't mind kasper schmeichel replacing fabianski

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lescott would be a good signing. I think we should sign Begovic, but Schmichael would be a good option.

Agree0 Disagree0

You want begovic to replace Shezney
Good choice but I don't c wenger bringing in a first choice keeper but begovic would be a great buy

Agree0 Disagree0

Um sorry have I missed something, what's wrong with shezza
