Good article Ed.

Shame we didn't help them out by snapping up Charlie Austin :-)

{Ed001's Note - I hear it was only because Wenger couldn't bear the thought of your posts afterwards that made him decide not to sign him.....}

Lol so we are at stage to take Gambles, from a person who couldn't cut it even at Pool who are at best a top 7 club?

Just because he couldn't cut it at Pool does that mean he is not going to be good enough ever. It could be perhaps, that because of his age combined with his now regular game time at Swansea, he is actually improving as a player, and therefore Pool got it wrong?. Your statement seems to suggest that just because Pool released him, he has already peaked as a youngster and will never improve on that? I really hope your wrong, as there I was thinking the Ox was going to improve with age,experience and playing time, but no, turns out he has already peaked and we might as well chuck him on the scrapheap as well?

He did cut it at Liverpool, they didn't get rid of him because of ability. It was because rogers, not for the first time couldn't get on with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - actually he left purely to get first team football. He was asked to stay.}

07 Sep 2015 20:10:28
I always thought he was quite well thought of at Liverpool in terms of ability

With news that Welbeck and Rosicky will not be back before xmas, possibly longer, it highlights the imbalance in our squad, with no serious replacements available fro the central attacking or attacking left-sided role and can't do anythig about it until the January window. It was a mistake to extend Rosicky's deal, as was it to extend Arteta's deal. Flamini is still floating about and also should have been released.
This has left our squad short, after only 4 matches and before the strains of playing midweek CHampions League are added. At present, we only have 21 fit players, including the woeful Flamini and Campbell who hasn't fitted into Wenger's plans. This assumes that we suffer no injuries during the current international break.
It's not a wonder that we always have to play catch up in the second half of the season.

Would this happen under Mourinho?

Doubtful.

Arsenal loanee Gedion Zelalem is doing well at Glasgow Rangers

I watched this game, Zelalem was very impressive in midfield, Oduwa, (on loan from Spurs), was also impressive wide right.

Zelalem was great , Oduwa was fantastic, just a pity he plays for Spurs. Watched the game, thought Rangers looked pretty good , some nice passing football. Think this move suits Zelalem , showed his willingness to get on the ball and dictate tempo at times . I know it's not a high level but the pressure on him to win every game up there will help him progress I feel. I think it will benefit us when he returns.

Couldn't agree more Loon. That Oduwa looks a beast. Fearless kid. Wouldn't like to play full back vs him.
