Any team apart from Barcelona and Bayern that have topped the group draw psg there out I think. Strong second place team that.

Does KDB play for them? 😆.

Well the good news is qualification tomorrow wouldn't see Arsenal draw Juve in the next round.

To be fair just being there would be a bonus and beggers can't be chooser's and all that, in fairness because of the way we've disrespected thge opposition maybe a it will be little more than we will have deserved if we get through.
I know people will see that as a negative thing to say but it would be true of city utd and Chelsea if they treated the opposition to lightly so it has to be true of us too.

We took them far too lightly it has to be said.

I'm starting to think more and more Lukaku would be perfect for us. Tall, strong, quick with a great all round game. Proven Premier League finisher. Yay or Nay?

A yes all round surely.

Higuain.

I like Giroud but have to say Lukaku would be a massive improvement, I'd take him over almost any other striker in Europe as he's proven he can do it week in week out here, and at 22 would have loads of time to improve even more.

Starting to think it would be a good signing. always thought we need a striker who could combine the best attributes from both Olly (Size, holds the ball up and gives CB's a difficult time) and Theo, (pace, gets in behind, hits the net) so we wouldn't actually have to change our style of play to suit the new signing. and perhaps he could be exactly that player.

Expecting a 1-3 victory for the Ars!

On a side note, it gives me no joy to say this, but expecting Gary Neville to be a star manager - looks like a boss in the video they keep playing and sounds like one too.

i won't be putting any money on the game its going to be a nervy one i think. i do no want to play thursday nights.

If we can score fairly early on and get them to come at us it will be very interesting but I do fear without Le Coq we're going to be open to being exposed on the break quite easily as we go in search of the goals we need.
Can Flamini just sit tight? I'm not sure but its deffinately what we need from him in this game more than most.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 22:18:22
I can see us bossing possession and Olympiakos sitting back and hitting us on the break. For that reason, I hope Gabby and Kos are the 2 centre backs. And for that matter Olly needs to start up front - Theo needs to be an impact player from the bench (lets not rush him back either) . If we start with crisp passing, I can see us climbing the mountain. But we mustn't be too gun-ho and attack with 9 men - I still have flashbacks to the home game versus Monaco last year. We need patience, discipline and the right mentality for this game. Prediction - 3-0.

Olym will not sit back, why would they? They can lose the game and still qualify there main objective will be to make sure we cannot better there result in the Emirates the best way to do that is to score first, then start defending, they will not sit back, this will be a very open game of football the keeper will need to be on form tonight!

I think one player we can't afford to loose to chelsea or manU is Stone.
Every succesful english team in the last 20 years has got a british defender boosing the back in their squads: Sol, Río, Carra, Terry.
I've been moaning all along, like most of us, for a top class striker, but now I think we should invest in building a team from behind, and Stone is the perfect answer for now and the future. (We already got the wanderful Cech! )
Add to him Carvalho and Marhez and we will get one hell of a team. I think the 3 of them are very realistic options.
What do you think?

I'd love to get stones but so would every other club he has so many options but I think fee wages and location might be issues given he has his pick of all clubs, he's a northern lad which I would guess would give city and utd the upper hand if Everton decide to sell.

08 Dec 2015 18:40:16
I think we should try our best to get him, offer him a proyect like we did with Alexis, Ozil and Cech. I´m sure that he will became the main man, where ever he go.

It would be some show of intent Fidelio mate and make every doubting fan punter and rival sit up and take very serious notice, Gabriel Kos Stones Chambers would have no equals in the PL and most likely the CL too.

Agree1 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 20:34:03
Cn we use Chambers as a makeweight for Stone - could work out better for both?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 21:37:34
Do you think they'd accept Mertersaacker instead Rooster?
Personally i doubt they'd want either but Chambers and 20 million or Mertersaacker and 30 million they might just fall for it :-)

08 Dec 2015 21:51:11
Yes it would be, g62. that's what we need the most: confidence. Injuries aside, lack of confidence still is our biggest problem.

I like BFG as a rotation guy on the bench -.

09 Dec 2015 02:00:13
I agree with that RR, I think we buy Chambers to get a Stone kind of player, but I doubt he can make it. BFG still can serve the team well.

I seriously doubt we'll ever be fighting the likes of Chelsea and Man City for players while Wenger is in charge.
I would love to have Stones but honestly can't see it happening x x.

Are we really interested in Nolito? At a reported fee of £14m, for a player who will be 30 next birthday, it seems a very unlikely signing.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

08 Dec 2015 07:39:31
Arsenal will simply buy Madrid winger Jese Rodriguez. Nolito is one of Wengers targets but it seems Jese will be signed due to his young age and skill.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2015 08:07:33
jese is class. Nolito not to fussed on. jese would be mega though and i like Cheryshev too i think he should leave to full fill his potential.
