Nathan Redmond anyone?
Surprised his name hasn't come up as a realistic winger option, can play left or right.

Unlike you to tell a joke mate.

Is he still playing? One of those players who seem to have been around years and years.

Hes 24 gunner, when I've seen him he's always done well, got a great shot on him and works hard. Wouldn't be the first Southampton player to go on to better things.

He always plays well against us.

It must be a me thing Steve :-) I remember Cesc making his debut in the community shield at 16 and thinking here comes another Arsenal great ( without being sarcastic ).

Wow Cesc is 31 now but have we produced anything close to him since thrn? Arsene seemed like the Stock Akemam and Waterman of football back then where every player he produced Went to number 1.
Back to Neil Redmound, you sure he's 24? :-)

Not for me. If we wanted a tricky winger with no end product we'd just stick with Iwobi.

Perhaps it's time Iwobi worked on his final balls. He has everything it takes to succeed plus he is very young too.

I’d rather stick with iwobinhio, Redmond isn’t or ever will be good enough, thanks for the laugh this morning that put a smile on my face lol.

The Wenger/ Gazidis era has left us desperately in need of reinforcements to catch up with the other top four contenders. Emery and his team made decent summer signings for a relatively low outlay of approx £70m. The problem is that we really need 2 or 3 players this window, just to replace the long term injured Holding, Welbeck and Mkhitaryan. Never mind the likes of Cech, Monreal and Ramsey who are out of contract this summer. I can't envisage us making these signings, we wil be lucky to one or two at best. I have never criticised Kroenke, as I believed Wenger was the main instigator of the club's financial policy. However, now is th time when Kroenke needs to inject a large sum, such as £200m into the club, as I believe this is the way round the FFP rules that we may be in danger of breaching.
On a separate topic, lots of noise about Denis Suarez. Is he actually any good? We clearly need more terriers like Torreira and Suarez looks soft.

We won’t catch up! Because the same is going to happen to emery that happened to Wenger, not a penny to spend, 50 million for his first window, come on that’s shocking (I know it was well spent ) how are we suppose to catch them I’d we spend that and they are spending triple! kronke out.

Welsh, you have to understand finance and success to make an argument like that. Its not our spending but the way it has been spent. In the last 5 years we have spent more than chelski (50 mil give or take, spuds and pool ( 100 mil give or take) . Being starved of champs league success and poor buying by the previous regime has impacted on the team, not the net spend. We have spent but badly compared to others. Only utd and citeh have spent more than us and only citeh have gained from that. Poor buying impacts you going forward and so does poor decisions like giving Ozil 350 big ones a week.

I suppose RG, suarez is on Dicks head because he has prior knowledge of his abilities. I doubt we will be after him if he doesn't think he is an upgrade or someone who can't do a job better than we have. I look at it like this, iwobi would never be a Barcelona player, he ain't good enough, suarez was/ is. He won't be useless, i can guarantee that, it looks like a manager decision.

Arsene spent a bit more than peanuts but didn't improve us and none of his signings over the last 7 or 8 years did or will leave us at a profit, many left on a free or for less than we paid and so will Xhaka and Mustafi.
Arsene left us with loads of players either out of contract or in their last year plus not one single player we could cash in on at a very healthy profit to fund new signings as Liverpool did with Coutinho.
I think the less said about Arsenes spending and financial management of players contracts the better because it's done us no favours and left the pot pretty near empty.

Couldn't have put it better myself gunner wenger in lots of ways moulded our finances for the better but the football transfer side slowly buckled under the poor transfer management of buying and selling astutely.

I read somewhere that aubamayang, is now valued at 85 mil and torreira at 67 mil. that's how you run a club, buyong assets that increase in value not go down like, ozil, mustaffi, xhaka and to lesser lucas. Or let your assets Sanchez, ramsey welbeck etc depart for nothing in return. that's poor management on a grand scale.

We've never been the same since Dein left. Club's been in a bit of limbo since then but hopefully between Mislintat and Sanllehi we can regain a bit of structure. The signs are good so far.

We have to high hopes for the new management team wire mate, who knows if they invest the clubs money more wisely where our assets increase in value rather than decrease or disappear completely maybe the club will be encouraged to invest more rather than put off by watching the money they gave the previous manager simply walk out the door for nothing after being given extortionate wages way beyond what they gave in the clubs shirt.

Hi Eds,

Any whispers about Marcus Rojo? Seems to be the sort of player Arsenal would sniff around at the moment!

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - What did I say on the Sharkopod about him and Arsenal?}

Hopefully absolutely nothing linking him with Arsenal and just that United have signed him up for another 5 years.

No offence Luke but he’s rubbish.
