So it looks like Wenger will completes deals for Debuchy and Sanchez in the next 24hrs or so.
This will give them plenty of time to bed in over pre season.
Wenger will look to sign 3-4 players in total in the next week or two.
My question is, what the hell will we all do now? No more last minute panic buys on the transfer deadline?

I'm expecting Sanchez's flight into London to divert to Manchester at the last minute, and a delegation from city to shove a 200k a week contract in his face. So Alexis Sanchez looks like it is nearly done. Absolutely fantastic signing in my opinion. Makes it even better that he chose us over Liverpool and Juve. But where do you see him fitting into the starting XI? Does he replace Cazorla at LW or Giroud at ST. Or will Wenger play Sanchez and Giroud together in a 4-4-2?
He certainly gives us a different attacking threat. Great pace and finishing. Also can beat defenders and has a great work rate. We should sign another ST aswell, or give J. Campbell a chance. Along with a CDM that should give us a title challenging squad.

I disagree completely. Walcott is a wide right attacking winger/striker.
Sanchez is a wide left attacking winger/attacker.
It's not a case of Sanchez taking someone's place. It's called squad depth.
Walcott was injured more than he played last season anyways so it showed me that we were clearly short.
Sanchez can cover or play Cazorla/Ozil/Walcott and Giroud.
Quality signing IMO if we pull it off!

So it looks like Debuchy is nearly done and sanchez is not that far off.
Im pleased with that, Sanchez is a quality player and Debuchy at the very least is on par with sagna.
When we played Newcastle last season he was their dangerman.
From what I've seen of him though, he looks better going forward than defending which might be cause for concern as Mert will be the player to cover for him. Pace not being big mert's strong point if things in attack go t!ts up and a team try's to counter.
Hopefully whichever CDM we bring in has the speed/positional sense to combat this problem
So exciting. Debauchy, a good experienced player to replace aging Sagna. Sanchez is another world class signing.
If we can sign a quality keeper, replacement for Vermaelen, defensive midfield player such as Bender. I don't believe we will sign another striker if Sanchez arrives. We will use Giroud, Sanogo, Walcott possibly further forward and possibly Sanchez in a more advanced role.

In a way I am glad we did not buy one year rental suarez, would have shattered the team. now we could possibly add sanchez, another world class quality player to ozil, and not to forget the amazing ramsey. we add a proper DM, Bender, Khedira, either will do, and we are a backup GK, and Cover CB to contend for a trophy.
i don't think we have enough depth to take this team and create a fuss in europe, but if we manage to add another striker with pace up front such as (god forgive me) REMY, then I fancy our chances against the best of the best.
if this happens, i'm not going to waste money on a jersey for Sanchez, ozil or any other player. its going to have ONLY 1 ARSENE WENGER IN GOLD on the BACK

With the players we have been strongly linked with, Debuchy, Bender/schneiderlin/khedira and Sanchez. How do you see our formation being?
I kind of hope we change more to a 433.
Defence kind of picks itself from last season with Debuchy included. I'd have Ramsey Wilshere with one of the above 3 midfielders we been linked with.
Then when all fit I'd play Sanchez Giroud ( unless we sign another more dynamic striker) and Walcott. Bring in another striker and we would have good cover for all those positions. Potentially a bench including Arteta Flamini Ox Diaby podolski cazorla Sanogo.
What you all think to the way Wenger may play it?

We can provide cover for Ozil. Equally, not sure Theo will be ready by the star of the season and after beingout for so long expect niggling injuries (same will go for the Ox).
Wilshere will get games in the attacking 3 positions and can also cover for Ramsey.

Ed if we do sign Sanchez, as many people are reporting we will, would you expect us to go in for another winger?
I'm only asking as I've seen a few reports that we still maintain interest in Griezmann and Cuadrado which seemed a bit confusing to me unless of course the club is anticipating the loss of either Lukas or Santi.
