Is Bruce talking to anyone on this site when he says : "Maybe these so-called idiots who want change, when they get it they may rue it for evermore. "

Clearly Bruce knows nothing as he has only played football on X box or football manager. 😉.

No I don't think so. he's a manager sticking up for another manager. He knows the crack.

Maybe he sees what a great manager we have. Sometimes we have to just except we as fans don't know everything

If we're happy to accept our place as 4th place champions and CL last 16 each season and feel that's our limitations then Steve Bruce might well be right but no one can seriously think that this season especially and even the 3 seasons before that our club has achieved all that it was capable of achieving do they?

Alex Iwobi looked very good tonight, great movement and releases the ball nice and early.
Hopefully he keeps developing and doesn't stagnate or become injury prone like the last few young prospects we've had.

Unfortunately Didn't get to see the match, had to spend the evening with the misses its bloody teachers day in lebanon and I was the plus one made me miss the match, so gutted :) . However tried to follow it through sky sport app.
Now back to football, good win and good call ed25 but I see we got few injuries and our CB's both had to be changed. I know Per had a head injury but what about Gabriel did it look that bad too.
Good to see Giruod and walcott on the score sheet but what about the over all performance guys?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it was poor to be honest moe, they have a different agenda mate..

08 Mar 2016 21:54:45
Moe,
Flattering scoreline to be honest.
Gabriel hamstring I think, so 3 weeks out.

I'm not sure why his not our number one choice Dags.
Welbeck
Sanchez Ozil Campbell

Seems the most likely combination to produce on a regular basis to me.
IMO Olly needs to be in a 4 4 2 formation team to see the very best of him.

08 Mar 2016 23:27:35
Agree mate,
I do like Campbell, he has a 'killer' pass in him.

Saw the highlights, shocking goals apart from campbells assist was brilliant and great finish by walcott, I guess walcott took it well as there wasn't any pressure on him (game pressure) . I'm really liking campbell at right wing and I think his the best we have in that possition. However he need to work on his curling shots.

It's probably the team I expected wenger to put out this evening. Whether or not it is the right move to put in out of form Walcott and giroud will be the big question. They both need big games to bring their confidence back up. Glad to see Joel Campbell playing and Bellerby getting a rest.

I think it will be a really tight game ending with an Arsenal win in extra time or possibly even pens.

{Ed025's Note - 4-0 arsenal for me G62..

08 Mar 2016 18:24:34
Hope so Ed mate :-) but Hull in the cup seem to always make it tough for us a bit like Swansea do at the Emirates, big noisy home crowd will only make Hull that bit tougher to get by IMO.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - they have eyes on bigger prizes for me G62, promotion is paramount for them mate..

08 Mar 2016 18:47:16
Totally agree mate promotion is their first second and third priority but after getting the replay neither side really wanted they've little choice but to give it everything in front of thier own fans tonight.

I am extremely hopeful that the fight we showed at the Lane will turn our season around. We have no room for error. let's get of the schneid today and get on a winning streak. We can't control the teams above us but we can control our destiny. I believe we can win all of our games if we play to our full potential and show heart.

One question: Every team in the premier league scores goals from distance I don't understand how we don't have one player who can score from distance. The last one i remember was podolski. I loved that left foot. I know most of you on here didn't rate him because he didn't defend but that left foot man i miss that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - podolski will be missed darren...like george michael missed andrew ridgely.. :)

08 Mar 2016 16:05:06
I miss Podolski more then I miss WHAM.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2016 16:49:43
If it wasn't bad enough letting Podolski go we replaced him with that clown Sanchez who can't shoot for toffee! ;-)

That effort he smashed into the top corner in the cup final was almost as bad as the one he smashed past De Gea. He's bloody hopeless.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2016 16:55:36
He did have a cracker of a shot on him.

That's probably why Wenger never played him and sold him.

If football was a stationary sport Poldolki would be the worlds number 2 :-)

Plenty of the guys can score from all over the pitch, but remember Wenger's quote after Rambos stunner V Galataseray, 'I was saying don't shoot from there' or words to that effect. They ain't allowed to have a pop it has to be the perfect goal.
Well for me the perfect goal is one where we score from any place on the pitch. This is part of Wenger's problem. Perfect perfect perfect.
Pity he's not so obsessed with defending.

News that West Ham are interested in the Ox, as he hasn't been starting enough this season, is disappointing. He is a talented, young, English player and when he returns from injury he must be given more opportunity. This season he has not looked himself and he needs our support as fans or we face losing him and I am certain this will be to our detriment.

The same goes for Arsene Wenger, although fans, including me, get frustrated with him, he has been an awesome manager, only the financially doped clubs in the PL have done better during his long tenure as manager. His CL qualification record is exceptional and the club has been transformed during his long time at the club. The last two seasons we have won the FA Cup and this season, in March we are still in the FA Cup, the CL last 16 (just! ) and have an outside chance of the PL. If he were to depart, who is available who could do a better job? Guardiola is at Man C (next season) , Ancelloti will be at Bayern and Simione is at Athletico and doesn't speak English.

Pellegrini will be available, but is he any better than Wenger? Pochettino is still unproven, having won absolutely nothing and I doubt the move to Arsenal could happen. Mourinho, is an option, if he hasn't signed for Man Utd, but is he the fans choice. Personally, I would like him, as his passion is needed, as is his discipline with the players.

AOC is not good enough

wenger should have gone at the end of his last contract, his methods and his attitude are not good enough for a club like arsenal. when he goes a sleeping giant will awake.
.
happy days.

The same story says West Ham will take Walcott off our hands for £26 million. I think we should negotiate hard on that fee, or at least ask West Ham if we can pay it in installments :)

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2016 14:20:38
we would be lucky if west ham will take walcott for anything under 50 mill, maybe we can pay them 10 mill a year over 5 years?

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2016 15:52:41
You lot should be ashamed talking about an Arsenal player like that.

Oh hold on, it's Walcott.

Ma bad, carry on :-)

08 Mar 2016 17:45:33
Its a shame really because he's always looked capable of big things but never really come close to delivering it on a regular basis.
With Jack and Theo every one can pick out their 3 stand out games quite easily while players like Kos Ozil Sanchez Cech even Belerin and Monreal it takes a lot more thinking about.
