Greetings Eds, Roma have confirmed the departure of Ronchi, Do you know if he is headed to Arsenal? What type of role will he fill in? And how do you rate him?
Thanks for all the info anyways.

Does what happened today mean Monchi is Arsenal bound? Looks that way.

Hope so ste! He’s definitely what we need behind the scenes. 👌🏼.

I was hoping it meant Emery was Roma bound but alas Ranieri has got the job. 😏.

Doesn’t matter who you have behind the scenes if the money isn’t available.

It would make sense having him in place before the end of the season to work on summer transfers.

So Stoner who would you of gone with instead of Unai?

For the new manager steve?

Stoner, thanks for the vote of confidence. Lol. I would have to turn it down, i'm waiting for real madrid to get in touch. Oh wait a minute my phones ringing.
It wasn't real, it was someone from nigeria, telling me if i gave him my bank details, i have a long lost relative has left me £10 million. Can you believe it!

my initial thoughts were Allegri from Juve but that was pretty much ruled out straight away. Simeone was another one. Just get us away from being some kind of limp pushover that we seem to have been forever.

I got sick to death of Wenger talking about “mental strength” when we had none.

Then I would have liked Favre whose at Dortmund although he now seems to have imploded or Nagelsmann. Especially the latter alongside Mislintat.

Emery was never in my thoughts and I doubt anyone else’s but he obviously deserved a chance.

But Jesus, how many months down the line and we still can’t defend to save our lives, we’re still a laughing stock defensively. It’s beyond pathetic.

If Ranieri can turn relegation fodder into title winners and I’m not saying I’m expecting us to win a title but our players aren’t that bad that they can’t bloody defend.

I mean what is the thought process of playing Myki at right back against Rennes. He’s literally clueless.

Mavropanos had a great debut against United last season yet he still picks the hapless Mustafi.

But I clearly digress, we’ve missed a lot of boats but if we could prize him away then someone like Simeone would be my hands down first choice right now.

Spurs Banbury mate?
They've consistently spent less than us but out performed us over the last 3 seasons.
Loads of money makes it easier of course but there are other ways too.
Athletico Madrid champions league finalists twice in recent years and europa league champions.

You’d definitely get my vote over Emery mate. 👍🏼😉

And that is an incredible stroke of luck, executive box for you next season.

Spurs beat Dortmund in Germany and Man Utd pull off a stunning comeback in Paris while Arsenal, trying to sneak in a game while we are all travelling home from work, have lost to a bloody heartburn tablet!

Sunday is a chance to put last night behind us and keep our meaningful season alive, a win would lift everyone, and basically a defeat doesn't bare thinking about.
Feels like a cup final in many ways.

08 Mar 2019 13:10:09
Couldn't agree more mate. Sunday is a must win.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2019 14:06:59
Agree Sunday is important, it isn't a must win but it is a must not lose. A win will not get us top 4 and a defeat won't resign us to 4th place relegation. As long as we stay within 4 points of top 4 we have as much chance as the others. Any more and we are in trouble as far as top four is concerned. But a win would be definate progress towards at least minimal seasonal improvement.

A win against a rejuvenated Manchester United would be just what we need Steve, they've lost once since Ole took over and even that didn't actually count for anything over the two legs with PSG.
Win and top 4 is possible but lose and it's time to virtually accept when Jose went he took our realistic top 4 him opportunity with him.

On current form Man Utd must be top dogs in Europe without doubt

A defeat wouldn’t raise eyebrows

A win would be a head shaker for many.

Terrible about the Utd and city fans! Were there any sanctions for the incidents? Or because its outside the grounds its not their problem? Should bring in heavy punishments for extreme hooliganism, have to play behind closed doors or something. Got to try and stamp out violence it's insane how far people go over a bloody game!

Is no one going to mention that Aubameyang was crap? Or is it not allowed? Iwobi was our best player and emery took him off. and played did not bring Kolasinac on at right back? I don't care this guy is the Spanish Arsene Wenger.

Auba has been terrible and looking uninterested for a while. You can put Xhaka, Ozil, Mustafi on that list yesterday too.

All eyes on Sunday, beat United and last night gets pushed into the shade but lose and our league season is effectively done and dusted with a quater of the season, remaining, again just like last season was.
Let's face it the Europa is a back door into the champions league now days but 3 seasons back we all called it the the Spursday night league as we laughed at our nearest neighbours having to play in it, what does it say about us now that we've chosen to upgrade it simply because it's all we can manage to qualify for?
We need a manager who can make us defensively competent and if if Emery isn't it next season he has to go.

Yes, i mentioned it on my post that got relegated to other posts for some unknown reason. He has been dire the last two months to be honest and i don't know why.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2019 11:28:39
He's always been temperamental which is why the none of the elite clubs took a chance on him, if we can get our money back for him in the summer might be worth thinking about to reinvest in a couple of £25 million player to strengthen our best 18 up.

I would rather he produce his best for us, gunner. I ve not read he has a problem, just out of form. But if he can't turn it around, then him and ozil can go for me. They are giving us very little at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2019 17:11:57
True Steve I would agree it's betrer for us if he stays and produces big time, but we can't afford for him to simply fade away slowly but surely offering niether value on the pitch or in the market, if we can get the best out of him brilliant but if not get the best price for him asap while he still has some value to him.

08 Mar 2019 19:19:36
Have a word with yourself lads he’s one of the best forwards in the world.

08 Mar 2019 20:40:14
He certainly doesn't look it Welsh.

08 Mar 2019 21:01:07
Its difficult to shine as a forward when you are getting no service and the defence is under the cosh.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Mar 2019 22:23:26
Of course he is one of the best strikers in the world, on his day, we can't afford that to have big gaps in the timescale. I love the guy but like ozil, being good in words is not good enough, its what you do in practice. They have to produce far more for us on a far more regular basis. Then there is no question.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2019 10:24:38
The thing is players like Pea Lacasette Ozil need to play regularly together to become a force to be reckoned with but that's not what Dick thinks is best and it's Dicks call, but Dicks call has to pay dividends to be accepted.
