Is fabregas seriously not worth a punt! Can we as arsenal fans be so precious. I'm really sure if an acceptable offer was made he would love the return.

He still has a lot to offer, even though he seems to be a 'bit part' player lately.

His assists record speaks for itself.

I wouldn't say no.

Personally I have nothing against fab but I want to look forward not back and I think we need a striker a holding mid and a central defender before we look out wide, maybe an ozil replacement? and I can't see chelski selling him to us.

I don't understand your before we look out wide comment steve?

No beef with cesc he had ambition no harm in that. If he leaves Chelsea it will be abroad. I think seria A is possible.

Sano after getting said positions, arguably the next positions that need looking at are our wide players, various question marks on bellerin, ox walcot, sanchez and fab couldn't play any of the roles, the only one he could play would be ozils, maybe.

Reluctantly I must say that Fabregas looks perfect for us, particularly in our new formation, where his lack of pace wouldn't be too problematic and I'm sure he wants to stay in London, where his wife and children are based. However, I disliked the way he left the club by manipulating a move, despite ring our captain and having 3 years left on his contract.

Ah I thought I would ask before I jumped in steve! Yes you are correct.

09 May 2017 08:06:59
I really don't think another pretty psssing player is needed. We need someone with fight and physical dominance in the middle.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 May 2017 09:08:27
I thought that cesc wanted to join us but we had ozil and didn't want him? Can't blame him for where he chooses to go after that.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 May 2017 13:43:17
Fabregas paid part of his transfer fee to engineer a move away from Arsenal (correct me if I am wrong Eds) . For that reason and that reason alone, I don't want him anywhere near our team.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No he didn't. Barcelona paid the fee.}

09 May 2017 14:06:44
Agree with D16. No problem with Cesc but we already have plenty of what he offers. We still need a proper DM in my view, and i would be happy for Wilshire and Coq to be sold to make way for him (Willian Carvahlo might be worth a shout - He certainly didn't do Portugal any harm the minute he started playing for them in the Euros (2nd game onwards) ! ) Also, we should find a way of getting Maitland-Niles closer to the first team, rather than loaning him out. We all look and marvel at Monaco, and probably court their 18 year olds, yet expect our 19 year old to be loaned out for experience. We may already have our own Mbappe in Maitland-Niles and Rene Adelaide but if they don't play we will never find out.

We done this to death, cesc left to win trophies and go back to Barcelona ( seems pretty logical to me ) I think he did the right thing for him, you only live once. And he has a full trophy cabinet. Result.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 May 2017 17:12:42
I don't begrudge fabregas at all. He give us a good service and was always on form hardly injured and proud to wear the shirt. Even when at Barcelona always talked about us and followed us as a fan. I can put my money 100% on him loving to put the shirt on again.

I was carrying a piece of litter so I stopped a guy in the street and said, "Can you help me? I'm looking for a rubbish tip. " He said, "Spurs to win the Premier League. ".

Ha! The toot have flattered to deceive, as usual and they will find it difficult to improve thier squad during the summer, particularly as some of Pochettino's signings have been poor; Sissoko and Janssen! In fact despite having been at the toot for 3 years, the majority of the team were already at the club. Other players such as Walker will leave for big cubs, who pay proper PL wages. The pain at the lane just goes on. 1961 and waiting.

09 May 2017 10:22:16
We've flattered to deceive lol you should take a look at your club R. G. Not even in the top 4, won nothing and are 14 points behind spurs and you had the runaround yet, again last week by us. You said top players will be leaving us, I think you need to look closer to home as ozil and Sanchez have turned down new contracts and want out and not being in the champions league means very few top players will want to come to you. Just look at man Utd Gareth bale said he'll only sign for Utd in the summer if they are champions league.

Lucus I bumped into the Same guy myself last week and he told me Arsenal to beat spurs, now that was one rubbish tip alright.

Raver, the difference between our two clubs is that we can replace players that depart with similar quality players as we pay proper wages. If Walker goes, the replacment is Trippier and he is clearly inferior. The toot have tried to do a Leicester, a small club winning the PL, and have failed. Yet another trophyless season at the lane. In a poor season by our standards we have still out performed the toot in three out of the four competitions and have a chance of winning a trophy and a slight chance of a top four finish. That's a poor season for us and yet for the toot, with a trophyless manager, early elimination in the cups, bar the FA Cup and beating Arsenal once, is considered a huge success. It just shows the enormous gap in expectations between the clubs. Thankfully I chose to be born a gooner, I can't imagine the pain a follower of the losers from lane experiences.

a media article with the head line "Romelu Lukaku tells media to stop transfer speculation over Everton future" you can only laugh at their shamelessness!

Hey Ed, rumours picking up about Leonardo Jardim stepping in for Wenger. Is that even a possibility? Also, anything new about Wenger's future or realistic potential replacements?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - He is not one of those approached by Arsenal through a third party and is not looking to leave Monaco and they are not looking to sack him. If there were a vacancy at Arsenal I am sure they would add him to any list for consideration although he would know he would not be first choice.}

08 May 2017 16:38:03
Thanks Ed. I'll slip in a follow up question; who are "those approached by arsenL through a third party".
If you have already answered this what keyword should I use to find your answer?

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I have no intention of opening that up again right now.}

08 May 2017 21:19:15
Ed who are those who were approached by arsenal then?
on another note jardim would be okay even though i always felt that the arsenal job was perfectly suited to tuchel. Jardim has that quality where players fight for him. i like that.

{Ed002's Note - Done to death.}

Question, and I guess there's no way to get an answer, but is Matt Law Ed002?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - What is a Matt Law? There was Matt Dillon who was a lawman in "Gunsmoke".}

08 May 2017 19:02:38
That's bellow the belt arsenalex. He's a shockingly unreliable journo at the telegraph.

08 May 2017 15:10:39
What I haven't seen mentioned on here is that dick law is apparently leaving the summer. Our chief negotiator I believe.

Made me wonder when Ian wright was saying how crap he was and is the reason we never got Suarez and missed contract negotiations due to missed flights etc. If that's correct sounds a good change.

Leaving Arsene's future completely out of it, what are the 3 most positive things you can come up with for this season?
For me
1 it's finally beating Chelsea and in some style too.
2 actually topping our champions league group ( thanks Cavani :-)
3 reaching the fa cup final, especially beating City in the semi.

1. The pitch still looks like a carpet
2. Seeing the bench eating maltesers during yesterday's game
3. Ravers posts which go from elation to despair and back again depending on which day or even which hour it is.

1) Gunnersaurus is our most consistent "performer".

2) Wenger has finally worked out how to zip/ unzip his coat.

1. i'm sleeping better due to the copius amount of consumed alcohol when we lose.
2. I don't worry about winning the league any more.
3. I've lost loads of weight on my arsenal diet.

1. The fans have no power at all
2. Wenger thinks that trying to copy contes tactics with 6 games to go is going to bamboozle the out brigade
3. A man who never comments on signings is now openly talking about the most wanted players in Europe again in an attempt to bamboozle the faithful.

1. The UKIP party has lost 80 seats so far in the local elections.
2. Robbie from Arsenal FanTV purchased himself a new Rolls Royce.
3. Arsenal's long unbeaten streak since 7th May until the end of the season.

Beat Southampon on Wednesday, and maybe we can dream of top 4.

Liverpool slip up today gave us a life line. It is imperative we win all 4 of our games.

Great performances from Ox, Xhaka and Ramsey today. Hope we tie down Ox on a new contract he's been one of the few players that's given maximum effort and played well this season.

A glimmer of hope for a top four finish after our win and Liverpool surprisingly dropping two points at home. It is still a very difficult task, as we have to win all four matches, three of them are tricky matches and hope that West Ham on the back of putting paid to the toot's fake title hopes, can draw or beat Liverpool. The new formation looks solid and hopefully we won't revert to the old system, that brought very little success.
