Mesut Ozil the premier leagues best ever king of assists and now the most consecutive assists ever too, we could do with a few more misfits like him.

Growbun,
Re my post from yesterday.

I wasn't advocating cheating by Arsenal players.

Was only having a laugh mate.
I can't stand any form of cheating, even if Arsenal players :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 23:12:10
Dont like cheating either but when you see your mate remy hurdling the goalie diving in thigh high, losing his ballance and trying to be honest, you can understand why people try to make a meal of tackles. Refs have to understand when a player is fouled and is penalised for being honest, they don't trust refs.

Sorry dags probably read it wrong. I couldn't see straight yesterday.

It's ok Grow,
My post did come across as I'm an advocate of cheating.

My fault.

{Ed025's Note - its all about self control dave...and bromide.. :)

09 Nov 2015 11:40:35
Lol Dave,
You have gone slightly off track mate.
But as Ed said, bromide and a cold shower stops the cheating.
Take note Ashley Young and Ashley Cole.

MgM,
You posted earlier asking what the game was like today, because you was on your way back from Amsterdam.

Spurs started brightly, it wasn't really Spurs, it was The Danish women's national underwater Ice Hockey team, dressed in military fatigues and angel wings.

Kane scored first, although I'm sure it was actually Bruce Forsythe dressed up as a German Sheep dog.
He beat the offside trap and slipped the ball, I say ball, it was actually a giant Cadburys Crème Egg, under Petr Cech, who was dressed as a giant orange fire breathing dragon.

Cazorla came off at half time complaining and was replaced by Esther Rantzen, dressed in a pink wedding dress with matching Doc Martens.

Wenger, who was actually Lord Vordermort, brought on Kieran Gibbs, who was actually Minnie Mouse scored at the far post, burying the Crème egg past Lloris, who was in fact, Zayn Malik of One Direction fame.

The Emirates erupted, I say The Emirates, but it was actually a giant inflatable bouncy castle filled with flesh eating piranhas.

Olly Giroud, who unfortunately for us, was really Olly Giroud missed a few sitters.

Anyway, how was Amsterdam?

One third of the season gone and we are joint top (thanks Villa) .

International break coming up, a chance to get some bodies off the treatment table, and 4 very winnable games before we play City.

We have our most solid back 4 since the invincibles and our best DM since Vieira.

We have 2 strikers, although different in style, know where the back of the net is, we have Super Sanchez and Ozil, who has finally found his feet.

Happy? Damn straight I am.

08 Nov 2015 21:25:22
10 points needed from those games Dags to keep up the pionts per game ratio needed to be champions.
There are no easy games in the prem as we all know and 3 of those 4 games are away from home so a very big ask to get 10 pionts from them but winning the premier league is a continual big ask from August to May.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 21:38:06
Absolutely G62,

I think our title charge starts from now.

Minimal slip up's, maximum points.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 22:34:47
All champions drop silly/disappointing pionts at some stage Chelsea city utd have all had shock defeats in there recent title winning seasons but they've also all gone on long winning runs and won the big matches more often than not when they've finished top of the pile.
13 points from the next 15 available including beating city would get Steve even more excited than a night in with the weather girls.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 22:40:59
West brom sunderland norwich villa nothing less than 4 wins is expected from me.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 23:30:28
It's raining points.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Nov 2015 01:02:27
Gunner those 13 points will come from 4 wins and a draw from city I hope and I think if we do we may be top. But then again its November and we do tread water a bit in that month lately.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:37:52
Try he does, don't have a problem with him, but, wish Campbell all the best at a club like Sunderland, Bolton or Barnsley. Surely, Gnarbry is better? He is slated at West Brom so bring him back.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 19:53:29
I thought he started today fairly well, seems reasonably comfortable on the ball, but loses possession a bit too easy.

Can't be easy for him, he hardly plays, and we were God awful when he was on the pitch, not just him, everybody.

I think if he gets a run, he will improve, but once players I back he won't play.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 21:04:36
Yer, maybe you said it better dags, but saying pretty much the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 21:16:40
Agree with you Sussex on Gnabry.

Would love to see him back at Emirates.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 22:46:43
I don't think wenger would put his faith in gnabry, i personally think he won't put any youth in, he seems very reluctant. Either he thinks they are not ready or he's lost his nerve with youth. The only one that got in and kept his place is bellerin and that was through injury and no choice, after. chamber getting a roasting there.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:28:45
Sanchez started off brightly first 15mins but then faded out most of the match for me he needs to play in around the box or even as a cf but we don't have any natural wingers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 19:59:25
Not sure if Chile have a match coming up, but I hope Sanchez picked up a minor 'injury' today. (Nudge nudge wink wink) .

We'd have been dead and buried if it wasn't for Le Coq today, how long before Barcelona come knocking.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 19:33:02
He's a top player 1404 mate, I'd love cover for him in January but most definitely not a replacement.
Unfortunately it may take him being missing through injury before a lot of people realise just how good he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:41:15
I think it's one of those positions that you notice the mistakes more then the good work he's doing, he's been immense
No coincidence that the better Le Coq is the better Ozil has been, he's given Ozil a bit more freedom.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:12:17

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 22:58:54
Im a coq fan, francis that is and he played ok today, but as poor as we played i don't go with the idea spuds would have thrashed us if it were not for him. They contolled a chunk of the game but they weren't battering us at all.

Their goal was just rank bad defending and cech had to make one decent save, we never got into a shape or rythm first half but for all their control only deserved the one goal lead. Imwas never worried about spuds killing us more about whether we could improve and we did second half.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 23:32:22
Steve,
You really want to rephrase the first 4 words of that sentence, darling.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:45:11
Another strange game, spuds seemed to control us for 50 minutes and we were chasing shadows, . We obviously miseed players, but we obviously missed a way of playing again, very disjointed. Saying that it was a game we in the end should have won, Giroud missed sitter after sitter, i don't remember spuds missing sitters for all of their control. We played poorly in a lot of respects and still could have won, with a clinical striker. I still worry about our defensive shape and i'm sorry but weds night it still an occurrence that can happen again with our style of defending. We need players back and we need to sign in jan, that is more and more evident, the only problem is the players we should have got in the summer, will be even less available in jan. We have four winnable games after the break and need to win all four before city.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:00:35
A bit manic and ping pong football for my money MgM mate especially the first half where spurs forced things to go their way excellently.
Not an enjoyable game IMO although I think spurs fans might have seen it a bit differently.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:04:03
Spurs had the first 60/70 mins, scored but didn't create many clear cut chances.
Once we scored we dominated, Olly could/should have had a couple.

Happy (ish) with a draw.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 20:34:12
Cheers lads.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:06:22
Per, Debuchy and Campbell are weak links in our squad. Simple as that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 18:20:38
still not happy to write off Per - doesn't help when he plays next to a rusty right back.

We had lots of players missing and were the poorer side on the day BUT I feel we should have won given the chances we missed. Funny old game.

Glad we have the break now as we need to huddle, slap Giroud, and sort out the run into January.

I still maintain we need to strengthen te right wing position as its our weak spot. Ox can't play there - needs to go out on loan.

We were lucky Giroud was not given a straight red as that would have left us really in trouble.

We have plAyers out but need to strengthen in January as the bench was poor.

A good point but I still feel we could have robbed 3 points if Giroud was on his game.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:49:25
So are the players who are constantly missing, they are all weak links for a different reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:26:15
Per is replaceable for me rather Gabriel played with koscielny. Per made a few mistakes today lucky we weren't punished.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 17:57:49
Hands up Spurs ., you got robbed . You deserved to win today. Let's hope that is the shit house point we need to take us on😬.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 18:04:41
Really? In terms of goal scoring chances we had far more, only Girouds awful finishing between us a 3 points, he could have had an easy hattrick.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:09:45
Not sure about robbed Grow? , but I certainly agree with you, Spuds were the better team . The break has come at the right time for us ( for a change ) hopefully Ramsey, Bellerin, Ox and Walcott will be nearing thier return.

Sanchez out of all of them needs a rest .

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:10:49
Yeah but Spurs were better and we got a good point in the end . Still up there and still in the hunt.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:17:43
Much better for sure

Thankful of a point.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:18:45
If it were the other way round Banbury I would feel robbed. But we didn't get beat and come away with a point (at home) it is probably something we would have lost in the past and we are still joint top.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:30:03
Qwe were the poorer team but created the best chances - I thought we were lucky to still be in it at half time but disappointed not to take 3 points by the end. Just me may be, but that's how I felt.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:33:30
On a positive note how many times has it been said that the sign of champions is not losing when playing badly?
Mind you utd must be red hot favourite for the title if that's true, there consistency of performance is incredible. Its almost impossible for a team to never look good but somehow they seem to pull it off with ease.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:34:23
This is true Grow but we have domintaed opponents in the past and not one and your correct normally that would have ended in a 1-0 defeat.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 17:57:09
Dags your mate came and give you nightmares again. I thought you lot were going to win by 3 or 4 but the academy of football came to the library and played you off the park. i'm so disappointed with a draw shows how good we are.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 18:07:58
You were the best team today raver. Dick Turpin came and held you at gun point . Doesn't happen often but it did today. Hard luck.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:11:18
It shows that when you are at your best you can't be an Arsenal side that were very very poor. Luckily for you we had 6 or 7 resting .

I think Dags said 1-0 though not the 3 or 4 you claim :)

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:16:55
Raver,
Hands up, you were the better team.

But, goes to show how bad you are, we had half our team missing and played poorly, probably our worst this season, and you still couldn't beat us, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:29:37
It's a fair point dags and this leauge is all about fine margins. Spurs are in with a shout this year. Chelsea and Liverpool going to miss out so if they can stay consistent they can join us In the caviar cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 18:29:44
Raver
Shows the expectations of your club to gloat over a draw, especially with the number of injuries we got.
You will still finish behind us and will always be in our shadow, so crawl back to your bedsit of football and celebrate with a can of white lightning and a roll up son.

08 Nov 2015 19:06:27

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:06:40
Guys we can't wimper and make this excuse and that . We were second fiddle today and could have walked away with the points! In games like this we need to show them not rob them but in all fairness we are in good shape and going to get some time to heal whilst still been at the top of the leauge.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 19:31:47
Thats football growbun, the points are all that matters at the end of the day.
How many teams have robbed us?
I feel awfull for the spuds i really do.

08 Nov 2015 18:48:13
Actually raver it's the league table that shows how good you are. Not how you play for 70 minutes in one game. Imbecile.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 20:38:11
Ubisyonk we are 5th in the league and only 5 points off the top of the table so we are not that bad.

{Ed025's Note - one point would be good at the moment G62..

08 Nov 2015 17:16:22
Totally agree Ed, next goal will either be game on or hello international break.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - ozil has disappeared as well G62...when the going gets tough and all that..

{Ed025's Note - switch campbell...for a toffee crisp..

Sanchez right Ozil left and both Campbell and Giroud down the middle, nothing to lose now.

{Ed025's Note - only the title.. :)

08 Nov 2015 17:39:38
Lol Ed :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 17:46:46

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Nov 2015 16:54:32
Very poor first half - don't like our right hand side at present. Really miss Rambo and Theo.
What was Giroud doing - has he not grown up yet. Idiot!

Need that special team talk to sort out midfield, passing, pace and 50/50s, Santi needs to get closer to Coq and sort it out.

Big 45 boys!

Gary Neville fancys Arsenal
Souness fancys Spurs
And Henry fancys himself

Seriously what you guys think, joking aside NLD always unpredictable, both teams in good shape domestically, Arsenal a little light but with a good starting 11

I think it will be either a similar display to that we put in when United came to town or it will be a high scoring end to end extravaganza.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

08 Nov 2015 15:54:52
Spurs are in good form, unbeaten apart from first game of season and at (near) full strength.

1-0 Arsenal, Sanchez.

Looking at Physioroom, you see a lot of players (all clubs) have players out because of a 'knock'.

WTF is a 'knock'.

Imagine that in real life.
"Boss, can't come in today, got a 'knock'

P.45 in the post.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed007's Note - It worked for me a few times while I was an engineer, DG. Fair enough it was usually the CID that were doing the knocking but you can't get sacked when you're in police custody and the best in the UK at your job.}

08 Nov 2015 09:22:52
Hi boss I won't be in today as my hamstring is slightly tight and I think it only fait someone else gets to do my shift for the next couple of weeks just incase, oh and just to let you know in advance I'll be getting two yellows in the game just before Christmas so will be suspended through out the festive period, sorry bout that too.
