Just a quick question for you all, I don't know how many (if any of you) read the review of the day news round up I do each day, but on a Monday I used to do an 'And Finally. ' section on the end with footballing anecdotes based around a theme. After chatting with a group of people on the Liverpool site, they have requested I turn that into a separate longer article that I do regularly.

Anyway, for those that are interested in reading it, what kind of anecdotes would you be interested in:

Would you like it to just stick to football only?

Would you be interested in any sports-based anecdotes?

Or would you want it to also include slightly unrelated anecdotes as well? As in just something funny (well I hope it would be funny anyway! ) that came to mind.

Anything funny is good for me.

Do a weekly Spurs article, that way you don't even have to try to be funny - it'll just be funny.

On a slightly less serious note, I think "anything sports related" would be the ticket.

Any and all of them for me mate.

{Ed001's Note - ok thanks mate. Glad you said that, I had feared running out of anecdotes after a couple of weeks. Football is very limited.}

Really pleased with effort and result . Three things stop diving, game crying out for a firing Ozil and Torreira legend COYG.

We can’t play with 3 non creative midfielders like we did Saturday. 2 shots on target for the entire game against Huddersfield at HOME. We need one of Ramsey or Ozil in the hole behind Laca and PEA or it’s back the the George Graham era where we try to beat everyone one 1 nil except the defence is no where near as solid. We cannot sell both of our players, they are often the difference in games.
Can’t stand the diving either - now Mustafi misses a game due to his dive 🤬.
Like the front two PEA and Laca
Ozil in the hole.
4 in midfield - they pick themselves Kola, Granit, Torriera, Bellerin
- long term we need to upgrade on Granit and Bellerin ( terrible crossing )
Back 3 - need a long term plan.
We do need a left winger to replace Welbeck and a CB and a CDM wh can play a good pass.

Not sure it was the set up that is a problem, Gouendouzi created 5 chances, torriera three and scored, xhaka two. I think it was a bad day up front, which is now unusual.

Just think if they can create those chances think what a motivated Ozil can do . Still hope Unai can get him back to best but yesterday was made for him - thought we looked toothless without him COYG.

Sussex, we would all like a motivated Ozil but that is something santa can't bring us. Ozil is and always will be Ozil, sometimes great but too often invisible, like he is now and has been for a lot of his arsenal career. He is robbing arsenal at the moment and really since he got his inflated pay rise. We are not getting our bang for our buck at all.

Agree the diving has to stop, hopefully very few of us want to see us going down that road.

Totally agree Steve just not given up on him yet - bloody hell its Ozil In or Ozil out - we’ve been here before I’m sure 😂COYG.

Torriera was simulating also! Cut that BS out boys and let the refs do their job. Just like they did when Laca stayed on his feet 🤷‍♀️.

Sussex, we have missed him (the better Ozil) but in another way we havent. Games without him, have been won, spuds for one, we played really exciting football and i don't think he would have improved us at OT. You have to build a team around him and i think i prefer a team that just does the job, without relying on him because he isn't that reliable often enough.

I just can’t see Ozil any worse than Miki or Iwobi! Anyway I’ve been good this year ish so why can’t Santa give us a fully firing Ozil 🎄🎄🎄COYG.

Mesut will either win his place back in Dicks team or leave the club completely.
Obviously it's better for everyone if he wins his place and Dicks approval back but if that doesn't happen it's best for everyone he moves on.
Come on Mesut whatever the problem is getting sorted and get back to your absolute best again.

Hope is an amazing thing Sanogo mate, without it there is nothing But once it's restored it takes on a life of its own and everything once again becomes possible.
Where there is a will, there is always a way and Arsenal football club once again has the will desire and passion to be the very best it can be again, what's not to enjoy:-)

We have Steve mate and everything is exciting again :-) .
I think it's only now that many people are realising just how stale we had become and more and more fans who didn't want change at the time are accepting now it was the right thing to do for the entire club, players and fans alike.

It's a thoroughly enjoyable season under Emery. I can't recall a season where the top 5 teams rarely drop points against teams below the top 6. This week only Man City dropped any points, with all the other 4, plus Man U winning. It will be interesting to see the effect playing CL football will have on Liverpool and Toot, as they have extremely difficult matches to contend with.
We can rest players on Thursday, before playing Southampton away on Sunday, followed by the League Cup quarter final against the Toot midweek.
With season ending injuries to Welbeck and Holding, we need to reinforce the squad in January. Particularly as we may, if able to, cash in on Ramsey and possibly move Ozil on. In the new year I believe the defence can cope without Holding, as we have Mustafi, Sokratis, Koscielny and hopefully fit again Mavropanos. I like our DM options, but we clearly need to sign a wide attacking player to fill the gap left by Welbeck, possibly a player that can fill in the main strikers role too. I would also like a midfield player that can attack and defend. We have too many that are decent going forward, but offer little defensively.

It's never been tougher at the top than it is right now, both Liverpool and City with their records so far this season would normally expect to be romping away with the title and ourselves Chelsea and spares all having lost just twice all season would normally expect to be sitting top 4 pretty rather than swapping places like musical chairs on a weekly basis.
So far it's been a brilliant season in the premier league and the fact that we are right in the mix of a top 4 battle this season of all seasons tells it's own story of how far we've come in such a short period of time under our new manager.

Ok Ed mate, you’ve stumped me, what’s the foot injury got to do with the review? 🤔.

{Ed001's Note - it was a mistake by me, I forgot to add in the story. It was an ex-Arsenal man, Perez at West Ham, who was taken off much to the disgust of Hammers fans and he was showing why he had to come off.}

😂 ok nice one, thought I was being thick as usual.
