Really disappointed to read Darren Moore has been sacked by WBA, they are in play off places and I thought he'd done a decent job there too.

Hope they miss out on playoffs and end up mid-table next season. It's what they deserve for this. Shocking. Baggies fans I know are fuming because they remember how gloomy the mood around the club was before he stepped in.

10 Mar 2019 08:35:35
Yeah he took over a sinking ship and turned everything around in double quick time and last season almost kept them up with exactly the same players who had struggled all season before he took over.
What did the board expect this season to walk the championship?
I thought he did a really good job fur them mate.

Totally agree I thought that he was doing a decent job. Getting in the Playoffs in the championship is a hard achievement. What is that now 2 non white managers in all 4 divisions? To give West brom their dues they did give him an opportunity, which is more than most clubs do and maybe they would argue they would of sacked any manager and so were holding him to the same standards. But opportunities for non white managers do seem insanely hard to come by there's disgraceful representation considering the proportion of non white players must be over 25%. Not just a problem here though I read an article that there was only 1 black manager out of all 32 teams at the world cup! Brazil was startling, 47% of their population being black they've never had a black manager at a world cup, despite most of their greatest players being black!

With Spurs getting beat makes things so interesting.

BG, things will be interesting until the end of the season, anyone can beat anyone.

They did score an away goal, shame they don’t count double in the league though. 😏.

Steve - let’s discuss after today, I think we are the weakest of the 4 sides chasing 3rd and 4th spots.

10 Mar 2019 10:34:24
I agree Banbury
Spurs are suffering from having so many players at the world cup for so long plus not strengthening their squad in the summer to compensate
Chelsea have a good squad but once again seem to have manager and players pulling in different directions.
United are recovering from the Mourinho effect
While we are still pretty much the same old Arsenal that has been just on the on outside of everything looking in for the same old reasons for a decade.
We haven't changed really only other clubs have, we were 4th best when there were 4 top teams now with Liverpool and Spurs coming back into the mix again in recent years we've dropped to 6th best team.
If Everton and Newcastle ever get there self's together the Europa league might become our new bridge to far.
We really do need to adapt and evolve rather than simply just continue with our out of date " we can out score anyone phyloshy " that's not worked after 15 y5ars and is highly unlikely to suddenly pay dividends.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2019 13:27:43
BG, it doesn't change a lot after today, we can easily win and lose all the rest or we can lose today and win all the rest. I think the run in has a lot more twists and turns. Interestingly we only need 6 more points from the remaining games to beat last seasons total. i'm sure we will beat it, by how much is anyones guess.

Predictions boys? You’ve won your last 8 League games (best not to mention the FA Cup) , whilst we’ve won our last 9 away games so high scoring end to end stuff or cagey 0-0?

It sounds like we almost have a full squad to choose from so I’m going for an away win, you played a day later than us and we have some fresh players to come back.

Confident?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

09 Mar 2019 14:57:56
With our defence - nope. Not confident at all. Hopefully a draw. That’s the height of my ambition at the moment.

09 Mar 2019 16:25:43
Haven't a clue really because Liverpool Spurs home games fill me with optimism while our Fa cup defeat at home and the away performances against City Liverpool and others fill me with an erge to watch from behind the sofa.

If I had to guess it would be business as usual where United sit back and pick us off for fun as always at the Emirates,

Away win all day long.

I think tomorrow will show some fight, my lose win or draw obviously but I predict a win 2-1 or 3-2.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2019 20:07:24
If I had only one guess at tomorrow's score line and the prize for getting it right was £1 million then I'd go 1 3 to United but I'm rubbish at predicting correct scores always have been :-)

2-1 to us as long as the ref behaves.

3-1 to the Arsenal.

So confident Malaga that you said we were going to beat the spuds 3-1 too.

Another kiss of death mate. 🙄😂.

With Emery Arsenal we could win well or eek out a draw or get totally exposed it's anyone's guess, much like Arsenes Arsenal really.

AJH, how have we won our last 8 league games when our last game was 1-1 with spurs 😂.

Alright guys,
I'm not an arsenal fan but I love that guendozi you have think he could develop into a main player in arsenal team, what does everyone think of him obviously I don't watch him every week?
Also what's the general opinion of holding?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2019 10:43:12
Both brilliant players and crucial for the future development of our squad. Looking forward to watching them grow 👌🏻.

Hiya Miller. Holding was dropped straight into our first first team and although made a few mistakes, only down to experience and the team around him too. He's already grown a lot, very composed, and I'm already happy to play him in the first 11 knowing the risks, and he's no less accident prone than Mustafi!

Guendouzi is passionate and talented, but makes more mistakes atm (around getting caught on possession) but a real star in the making.

Hopefully both central to our future plans.

09 Mar 2019 13:14:03
Cheers guys
I always wondered about holding because he seemed to be linked with loan moves away n was hoping he did t turn out to be another jenkinson or Bartley ( although I did like Bartley when he came on loan to rangers just not premier league quality )

Really like Holding but needs some good coaching and a role model. That concerns me a little at Arsenal as we can’t coach defending

Matteo - one for the future. Makes a lot of errors, gets caught out of position and not sure he really give Torriera the right partnership at present as we need a strong bad ass partner for him. Again concerned about the defensive coaching at AFC which is not good for Matteo. On a plus side - nice eye for a pass and plays with a lot of energy which I think a lot of fans like as they missed that energy. What we don’t need is a headless chicken at present and he can be a little like that as he develops. I like the kid but he shouldn’t be a regular at present as our midfield should be stronger.

What did it get 2 down votes for? I always like your reviews mate. Does seem a bit harsh on Chelsea if they are cleared after serving the ban they can hardly be handed the two transfer windows back, which might mean they lose hazard for free in a year, still couldn't happen to a nicer bunch! 😂 What happens if a player just walks out on their contract? Do they get sued? You don't see it happen much.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is bizarre the decision by FIFA. They have no leg to stand on at all legally doing that.

As for a player walking out, it depends on the circumstances. If they were not joining another team, then there is little real issue, but they would have a problem playing again as the previous club holds their registration and then it would get messy.}

09 Mar 2019 16:57:36
Ahh so if he's just decided footballs not for him it's not a problem, seems a crazy decision though, especially if it's over a girlfriend!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - highly unusual for a player to just quit the game though, so I would expect more to come on this.}

09 Mar 2019 17:39:39
Definitely! put all the effort in your whole life. Make it, then throw it all away! His parents must be fuming they probably made sacrifices for him to him to make it.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - his loss at the end of the day. He will regret it.}

09 Mar 2019 03:00:47
The way PSG run the club it looks pretty certain that Tuchel will be sacked and now with no Sven at Arsenal wonder if they'd be up for trading!

Emery has to have next season, we don't want to be go from ridiculously loyal to ridiculously fickle.
In my opinion unless a manager has taken you seriously backwards 2 seasons is an extremely fair period of time to say thinks but no thanks unless undisputed progress is made.
So far no sign of progress you can see without the need of a high power microscope and next season if it's not obvious to see with the naked eye then it's tata Richardo.

Agree0 Disagree0

09 Mar 2019 11:24:12
I think this season is Emery’s learning point and adaptation to both arsenal and the PL. summer signings and sellings and next season defencive and away form will tells a lot about our manager and his abilities.
We weren’t expecting much this season but that run we had made us have higher expectations.
Although tomorrow’s game is very big and it will give us a big indication on how we will finish the season.

09 Mar 2019 13:03:35
This season is much of a freebie for Emery but from August onwards he absolutely has to show real undisputed progress otherwise why part company with Arsene?
We Weren't happy to be also rans and whipping boys under Arsene so we went in search of someone who could change that about us.
Stand and deliver Dick or make way for hhe next contestant in 2020.
