Absolutely superb performance from the lads.

Special mention for someone else who was in form in chat. Glenn, take a bow mate! I didn't even know you could be funny! 😂

As a team, I feel we're better than last season. There's more of a cutting edge to us. We seem more ruthless and the players aren't afraid to get in amongst it. Really looking like a great team.

I'm the same ED, I was all for an out and out striker, not sure now.

I have a feeling we’ll still get one as an upgrade on Jesus will still be a big need.

I’ve always liked him but he seems to hold us back now as we’ve developed as a team.

I’m wondering if he’s trying to hard too, he looks a frustrated figure on the pitch.

Just two years ago Jesus and Zinchenko were City players they deemed they could get rid of and we received gratefully. We have evovlved as a team so quickly they are surplus to us now as we are now at that level almost. I think we need to upgrade Jesus and I think the only striker that would complement us is Isak. Left back a problem but Timber is back and with Tommy as cover we are good to go there.
Shout out to both Ben White and Trossard - both proving they are good enough for a top six team and good enough for us COYG If only Partey could keep fit - releases Rice to do his thing.

I think we 1000% need a new striker, I don’t think harvertz is a 20/ 25 striker at all he’s had a good game yesterday but seems to go missing a lot, if we get someone who can score 20/ 25 league goals then everyone can look out.

Imo we need a proper striker and a pivot player (if Partey leaves) to compete at the absolute highest level. Bayern and Porto both found a way to make life difficult for us and i believe having those kind of players would help us to find the solution against them. We're able to beat most teams without problems as is but the best teams will look to mitigate your strengths and exploit your weaknesses.

14, I know we're scoring a lot of goals, but in a couple games this season, we've created chances, had no one to convert them, and lost the game.

It's not like we don't deploy a striker; he's just not very effective.

In perspective, White has scored the same number of goals as our striker, albeit over 10 more appearances - but still.

Yeah mate, we need a striker.

{Ed014's Note - I do agree mate and can’t see us not getting one as it’s clear we don’t have an out an out natural goal scorer.

No idea who it may but hope we get him in quickly in the summer.

{Ed014's Note - I think we finally saw Arteta’s preferred starting 11 with maybe just the exception of Timber.

With Partey in midfield it allows Rice that freedom where he can get everywhere and Havertz up top makes us so much better.

As I said in chat for the Wolves game, Jesus needs to stay on the bench.

That was probably what cost us the Villa game, playing him up top.

Hi Bill we could possibly do with a striker but we could definitely do without Jesus mate that much is certain. Its not as if he's a bad player or bloke it's just that we are so much better without him than with him in our team.

Fantastic performance aside, just found out that VAR did indeed look at Jackson's challenge on Tommy and saw nothing wrong with it. If that clownshow isn't kicked out of the nearest window soon it will make the league a laughing stock.

Playing devil`s advocate sparky they probably looked at it and deemed it a yellow card so couldn`t intervene. This means Jackson got away completely which is madness. This rule needs changing. On another day a straight red. It`s not corruption it`s incompetence COYG.
