Another step forward, no advantage to take to Munich admittedly but most importantly no huge deficit to bravely attempt but ultimately fail to overcome in the second leg.

Unquestionable progress in my opinion.

Away goals don't count double which is a big plus imo.
They have home advantage but that can in some incidences go against you.
We are on a journey with this manager and squad which tbh after being thumped 4-1 by Chelsea in the Europa League final wasn't even in the planning stage.

Hi Bill mate, in CL games past we've gone into the second leg as good as out after suffering huge first leg defeats to Bayern and Barcelona but this time we go into the second leg 100% as equals 👍👍👍 that's yet more progress in my book mate 👍.

Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners, hope alls well. was thinking about last night game. and after the blistering start and sublime goal by saka I really thought Bayern were there for the taking. then the two goals against us were criminal on our behalf. I'm a huge fan of David raya. but have never ever been a fan of goalkeepers coming out of their area unless vitally important to do so. maybe I'm too old school. but in my eyes a keeper's job is to help keep the penalty area and more importantly to protect the goal. so I don't know why he thought the need to take up the position he did in the build up to the equaliser. if he just stayed in his area the simple ball back to him is played and that goal just does not go in against us. second goal against us is just one of those things. sane is rapid and the slightest touch, which it was and he's going over. thought we was better in second half, more focus and composure Jesus and Leo made a big difference when introduced and well worked second goal. lastly if your giving a pen for sane then saka's should have also been a pen. but it doesn't always make sense. 2-2 and on to next week. and as much as I want the arsenal to progress. I think it's advantage Bayern. strictly because the next leg is at their gaff. I hope and pray I'm wrong. and we make it through. COYG/ VTH. 🔴⚪️❤️.

I thought we were a tad sloppy and off the pace a bit, confident we can win in Germany.

Very lucky to get a draw, especially after the ref decided not to give a penalty after Gabs clearly picked the ball up in the box. odd.

But 2-2 is ok and it's a 50/ 50 shout.

It's been excellent, especially since Jan 1st. The West Ham and Fulham defeats could prove very costly but time will tell.

Good to get Timber into the side, left back has been a bit of an issue but in saying that the defence have been superb

I am now unsure if we need a striker KH is now contributing, just wondering if we were to get a striker would that change our style of play.

I think we have been better than last year even if we finished 3rd, there isn't anything to choose between us and the other two.

I'm happy with the result last night. Years gone by we would of got hammered.

Mistakes led to their goals and I'm sure Mikel will address them in training

For me rice has to play cm, we look so comfortable when he plays their.

Once again martinelli offers nothing, I think he's been found out. big shout to Jesus and trossard they got us back in the tie

We will be better in Munich and I strongly believe we will go through to the semi finals.

Hello Mal mate, like you I thought Martinelli was poor. Mistakes at this level will be punished.
The big let off for us if you can call it that is away goals don't count double so it's a level playing field next Wednesday.
First things first though is 3pts against the Villa on Sunday.

Martinelli needs to take on the fb more like he used to. He’s turning into our version of Grealish- run down the line and then turn and pass back or sideways.

Martinelli's strength is his pace I reckon. One on one he'll always get there first. I'm a big fan.

{Ed025's Note - i think he is very talented Sally but i do question his stamina, he seems to be doing very well then fade second half which is why he gets hooked so often, maybe its under instruction that he gives his all early on then gets replaced by either Trossard or Jesus i dont know, but a guy with his skill set should be doing a lot better imo mate..

I think Saka is an exception for a young player. I don't think there are many players that young with his consistent skill set.

Jesus is due for an operation in the summer so I expect that's why he isn't playing the full 90 minutes. I think the rotation of Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus seems to be working well atm.

Ed0025, I do suspect martinelli knows he's only getting 60 minutes, and reckon that is why he's often out of steam by that point.

{Ed025's Note - you could be right SW, i think if he was brought on after half time he would possibly be more effective as defenders tire mate..

The AMC was formed last season when Martinelli was our top scorer, but its certainly not a vendetta against the lad, insists their chairman, spokesperson and todate tge the only member of the AMC 😊.

Wasn't at our best defensively in first half and we paid the price.
Showed great mentality in second half and I think a draw was a fair result even though imo it was a penalty.

My thoughts exactly. He knew Gabriel was there. The game still doesn't respect head injuries enough in my opinion.
