Morning everyone.
Been looking at the run ins and tbh none of the 3 teams have easy run ins.
Liverpool now have 3 away games on the bounce.
City have 2 away games on the bounce.
By the time City play away at Brighton on Thursday week we would have played Wolves away and Chelsea at home so possibly could be 4pts clear but played 2 games more.
The big thing is how do we respond after yesterday and it's the response that tells us if we got what it takes to bring the trophies home.
Lot of the pundits, fans of other clubs and I have to say some Goobers are already saying it's like last season all over again, where it has to be said we didn't cope with the pressure.
Has I previously said about City's and Liverpool it's far from over, but we have extremely hard fixtures ourselves.
It's how we respond after yesterday that will answer the questions that people have about our squad.
Yes they are a young team but they are an experienced team who have played in Europe and World Cups for their respective countries.
So let's see how we respond on Wednesday, it's the sign off all great teams that they respond after a setback.
Was I down yesterday, yes I was
Was I pissed off yesterday, absolutely 100%.
Have I giving up the ghost, NO WAY PEDRO.
COYG❤❤❤❤.

So. if anyone thinks our boys didn't give their all I am sad about that. They are young, still learning and they absolutely love our club. So we're not a perfect team, I agree with that, but please don't call them bottlers. Didn't you see how Ode ran himself into the ground chasing the ball?
I think most neutrals accept that City are one step ahead of everyone but we are among the best of the rest!

Hi Sally great post, we've taken 4pts from City and Liverpool for the first time in who knows how long, and today we had a below our brilliant average day at the office. The true bottlers are the fans who threw in the towel today.

15 Apr 2024 06:39:38
Morning all

Without a doubt we have had a better season than last IMO, still 6 games to go I know. I do think we are long shots for the title now.

There is only one fixture that I see City having a battle in and that is Spuds away but even they are so hit and miss you could see City winning there by 3 or 4 . I just don't see them slipping up if I'm honest. Finishing 2nd ( yes we still might win it ) would be no disgrace and certainly shows some consistency.

Massive game on Wednesday, let's show we have bouncebackability.

:)

Gunner62 as fans we are all proud but also as fans we know when the team didn’t play well, our emotions are set by how the team play and perform, and yesterday was a bottle job for me, first half to much tippy tappy football in the box, someone needs to take control and shoot, that’s how you score by shooting not having 347 touches in the opposition box, as I’ve said our emotions are set by the team nothing else! I’ve been reading this site for over 7 years and only joined this season, I’ve seen members on here having a go at certain players saying shouldn’t play for the club again and shouldn’t be in the team, those same members calling fans who weren’t happy yesterday bottlers and not true fans, that’s ironic.

15 Apr 2024 08:41:01
Dublin, that's not a bottle job that's our style of play we have always tapped about around the box looking for that perfect goal. Look at West Ham at home ( we lost ) look at Liverpool in the cup at home ( we lost ) , yesterday we had 18 shots at goal ( 1 every 5 minutes) just 4 on target .

We had a 3 game spell in December where we had 81 shots at goal and just 4 on target. We do shoot we just aren't very good at it, though better than some as our good would suggest.

I take your point though, we do try and have too many touches, just shoot for christ sake. lol.

15 Apr 2024 10:29:32
Imagine if we had Isak in our lineup! Probably not going to happen but if we had a proven out and out striker those chances would most likely have been converted.

15 Apr 2024 10:37:14
Totally agree with your assessment about shooting, but I didn’t mean tippy tapping was the reason for bottling it mate just the general play, with the stats you have said in your post mate let’s hope arteta know about that and gets the striker we are craving personally I think the sporting lad will be good for us.

15 Apr 2024 11:16:09
So every time we don't play at our best or don't win we are bottlers? That's a totally irrational kind of support and way of looking at things in my opinion, and to feel entitled to accuse and abuse the team your supposed to support because they had a bad day raises far more questions about you than it ever does about our fantastic team.

15 Apr 2024 12:42:02
Now John this is what I was trying to say last week

The doom and gloomers come out

To me they seem happy to come out and put down the team

Never see them when we’re doing good.

15 Apr 2024 12:46:48
It’s the end of the season gunner 62 and crunch time same thing happend last year that’s not a coincidence we bottled it last year and did the same again yesterday, did I say if we lose any game we are bottlers nope I didn’t so please don’t put words into my mouth gunner 62! But if your 7 points clear or what ever points we were clear last year and throw it away that’s bottling it, and we hade a good run of games winning streak before this game, but when it comes down to the final stages and pressure they bottled it it’s not nice to admit but that’s what happened, it can’t all be rose tint glasses 62 doesn’t work like that life isn’t fair, I know it’s not a nice word but there’s isn’t another word to put there, pressure got to them plain and simple, and I’ve supported arsenal since I was 6, we are entitled to criticise the team it can’t be great every week, so I take it you have never said Wenger out Emery out xhkak out because I’ve seen members criticise other members yesterday over this and that’s pot kettle etc, and as for the type of fan I am you don’t know me or will ever know me, that’s all I have to say on the matter with you as I know the out come when someone argues with you I’ve seen it on many occasions so I will not be replying again thank you.

15 Apr 2024 14:14:38
Oh yes I most certainly have said Wenger Emery and Xhaka out but not on the basis of 1 bad performance,1 bad result, and never ever when we were just 2 points off top spot with a month to go and in a champions league QF final i haven't. I have Called Merterducker a bottler solely on the grounds of his clearly and deliberately ducking out of 2 headers.

The reality is you threw the towel in yesterday, so your season is done, dusted the way of the dodo, while Arsenal Football Club season is still very much still going veet strong indeed.

15 Apr 2024 17:54:58
I rest my case pot calling kettle black.

15 Apr 2024 18:49:50
By your sense of reasoning I guess this makes perfect sense to you. See you in August when your personal Arsenal football club calendar comes back into play again given you gave up on the team yesterday.

15 Apr 2024 19:39:11
62 you singled out a player to be dropped and two managers to be sacked and lose there jobs and your having a go at me because I think they bottled it wow, I think wishing people to lose there jobs over what someone thinks is a lot worse, but you will prob come back with one of your greeting card sayings as a response!

You can’t say things about me when you have thought worse lol and admitted it, we all have a moan but don’t moan at people when you do it too, that’s just being a hypocrite!

And my calander runs until the last game like yours matey.

15 Apr 2024 20:00:18
Mal hahahahhaa pot kettle black springs to mind there matey you have your fair share to say with individual players and even managers at least I’m saying the team lol I’m on live chat when ever I’m not working during work no phone policy, if we lose the game I’m online that's just luck as I work most weekends that’s my excuse to being on yesterday, I’ll ask my boss if I can change shifts to suit Malaga’s rules heheheh.

15 Apr 2024 20:03:08
I rest my case.

14 Apr 2024 19:18:41
Just managed to watch the first half properly and I thought we had enough chances to kill the game, the second half it was for us pay for those lost chances.
It's not the end of the world. Still alone to play for put it's not in our hand no more.
Clean up and get back to your best and get the result need it against bayern.

Lots of football left to play still Moe mate, no one expected either us or Liverpool to lose at home today who of us really knows what other surprises this season has or doesn't have in store for everyone yet? Disappointed but most certainly not in the slightest embarrassed by this Arsenal team.

14 Apr 2024 22:05:19
Well said g62… super proud of our arsenal… until today we have been on a fantastic run since the turn of the year. first defeat of 2024. it’s all about dusting ourselves off and going again. like I said couple of weeks ago. there’s still some twists and turns to go for all three title contenders. and if you think about the unbeaten run we’ve been on, in any other league we’d be top with points to spare. that’s why the premier league is probably the best/ toughest to win… p. s. I suggested Watkins as a striker we should have looked at a couple of seasons ago. just imagine if we had him and his 19 goals this season. 🥴. ONE TEAM/ THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️.

14 Apr 2024 22:49:03
Hi Gabi mate, it's mid April and we are just 2 points behind the leaders and on level terms going into the second leg of a CL QF. All fans of all clubs should be as hard done by as us mate 👍

Up the Arsenal and very much up this Arsenal team 👍👍👍👍.

Kai was absolute keek today.

14 Apr 2024 19:03:37
Well people that wasn't what we ordered was it. Went on live chat late and obviously feelings are running high.
Can see both sides of the argument because people are seeing a rerun of the run in of last season.
Villa were the better side definitely in the second half and we were struggling to make a dent.
What I like to say this result doesn't define our season. Those bad results at the end of the season defined that season but this is 1 bad result. If we do what did last season and fall away then yes there is a good reason to say we bottled again and we cannot cope with the pressure, but let's see how it pans out. Mikel needs to earn his wages and get the boys right for Wednesday
COYG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
To Saga mate I don't remember George Swindon but Billy Wright was the manager when I first see them 🤦🤦🤣🤣
Congratulations Xhaxa.

Hi Bill to call our player's bottlers because they lost their first game this year and didn't play at their best is an absolute disgrace in my opinion, how on Earth can fan's who throw in the towel at the very first sign of trouble call other people bottlers? That's total hypocrisy. Last Saturday during the Villa v Brentford game Villa fan's were handing 4th place to Spurs once Brentford went 3 2 up, I bet those very same Villa fans who bottled it last Saturday are singing and dancing this evening as they declare their unwavering loyalty to their players, team, manager and club.

14 Apr 2024 18:51:56
We looked fatigued but Villa also played well and deserve full credit for their win (they also had less time to prepare after playing in Europe on thursday) . I may feel differently tomorrow but right now i'm thinking forget about Toney and get Watkins instead 😆.

Liverpool have blinked first, as well as serving as huge inspiration today the Palace win needs to serve as timely reminder, every single point in every single game has to fought for and won.

Up the Arsenal 👍.

Mistake not playing jorghino and putting havertz there I think…zinchenko nowhere to be seen for both their goals as well.

I think you are wrong there G62. For them I think they would rather us loose than Villa. Remember top 5 teams will qualify champions league. I think Spuds are saving themselves for us and will be a Big game.
