If Podolski has been signed and all over our website, why does he still not have a squad number, especially now that the new home kit is on sale?

Squad numbers for next season haven't been allocated yet. You can't officially allocate them until a certain time.

He has agreed to join arsenal, but he isn't officially a arsenal player until the international window opens. That is the basic jist of it.

ed what's this about ozil being unhappy in madrid. {Ed002's Note - I don't see Oezil necessarily being available in the summer but there will be no shortage of interest from England and Italy if he is, not least Inter Milan who bid against Madrid to buy him originally, and Juventus. Whilst he had what was seen as a very good season last year, this season has been patchy at best with a lot of time on the bench. Real Madrid may listen to offers in the region of 25M euros or so.}

If he did go for 25 m that in my eyes would be a brilliant buy for whoever. I think ozil is one of the top players in Europe, his passing ability is rediculous.

Ed, I know West Ham adn Ajax are interested in Benayoun but what about Arsenal? {Ed002's Note - Seemingly not at this time. West Ham, Ajax and also Cagliari have shown an interest in Benayoun.}

I like Yossi, but i think its a good thing we r not buying him. To me, that means Wenger is lookng to buy elsewhere and not use Yossi in the limited 25 squad rule.

hey ed can arsenal go for birmingham youngster nathan redmond he's a good player he's just 18 nd has scored 5 in 20 games for the club he can be a great replacement for arshawin as they both are wingers nd have same height of 5ft8in.
he might be available for £5mil-£12mils. {Ed002's Note - I don't know if there is interest or not.}

Surely we have enough promising youngsters in the squad now,if Arshavin is going to be replaced,it should be with someone with some experience.We need a couple of players in the team who have won things,and know how to guide the young players.We are so close to having a winning team,but please"no more promising youngsters"for a while,anyway.

Well basically, because if you have 50 posters with no name then you have no idea of who you are addressing and when someone is making a statement it is good to see whether they are right or wrong. Otherwise everybody can claim they knew best or predicted something would happen. Likewise deny when they are wrong.

Was anyone else impressed with Simon kjaer and jetro Willems today both seemed solid throughout the game. Willems has great confidence and Kjaer basically was a brick wall. Im sure they wouldnt cost much and would sort out our defensive problems

Don't you hate how people see one game and instantly want the player? Mate Kjaer has been rubbish for is club all season mertesacker is much better Also they played with a deep backline whereas we play a high backline, Willems looked ok going forward but defensively very questionable.

I've watched Willems all season at Eindhoven and have watched kjaer quite a few times at Roma I've watched them both play more than once {Ed002's Note - Jetro Willems seems bound for Old Trafford. Kjaer can be inconsistent.}

What do you mean we have no big defensive problems first of all Djourou and Squillaci will be leaving this summer and mertesacker is basically a slug so we will need another CB also i dont reckon gibbs is completely ready yet and Santos is more of a winger than a full back and to top it Sagna will miss the pre season games and the first few games of the season and i dont fancy Jenkinson covering for him so anyone saying that we dont have defensive problems are obviously in denial
