Ed is there any legitimate interest in Cavani or is it just another reporter trolling us gooners again?
Wouldn't complain if we signed him over Benzema, not quite the same physical presense but a very strong and dynamic striker, good in all areas and one hell of an engine.

Eds been a very long time since we've heard anything from you regarding benzema, just used the search function, anything happened? Sorry if it's just because the situations the same. And anything regarding other players such as cavani?

I just can't see it happening. Benzema is at Real Madrid who have a high chance of La Liga title and no doubt minimum of a semi final in the Champions League. He also has his France spot to hold down and playing at Real Madrid he will get his chance even though people chirp up that Rafa will play Bale or Ronaldo as the out and out striker leaving Benzema out, can't see that if Benzema plays and plays well he`ll keep his spot surely? Now if he decides to sign for Arsenal his situation changes he now has to adapt to the EPL and all the pressure to perform instantly to win over the Gooners and to hold down a France strikers spot for Euros2016. Of the two choices staying at Real looks more comfortably but hey what do I know.....money may talk but can anyone see Wenger lumping it on Benzema or another top top striker like Lewandowski, Higuain or Llorente? Arsene pays what he feels the price the player is worth and i'm sorry todays market is still on the rise for quality. Keep the faith Gooners we could still have Lord Bedtner or Sanogo within the squad. COYG

i love how twitter works and all these closet ITK;s who come out with their deadline ultimatums and unlimited medicals.
i do use twitter but for the sake of sanity mostly for banter and less for transfer.
but i did see some italian journalist tweet being retweetd.
not a direct quote but something like this.
tweet 1 : benzema to sign on sunday or monday
tweet 2 : benzema in london for medical
tweet 3 : benzema deal agreed ( one week after he was to sign)
tweet 4 : been told that man city and bayern want benzema
tweet 5 : benzema wants arsenal and will have talks with guardiola and wenger
tweet 6 : wenger has spoken to benzema and its up to arsenal to pay
well you get the drift.
what i'm wondering is how does he know soo quickly what wenger and benzema discussed? does wenger tweet secretly?
maybe wengers handle is notarsenewenger? and benzema is notbenzema?
its just a shame to see soo many headless chickens being directed to the slaughter house.

{Ed002's Note - Lucas Silva was subject of discussions with Real Madrid and Chelsea and ended up making to move from Cruzeiro to Madrid knowing he would struggle to get game time last season. Unfortunately for him, Casemiro is now staying in MAdrid which will further limit his opportunities so they are willing to let hime leave - preferably on a loan. I understand that it was a third party who made contact regarding Manchester United in January, but it is unknown if they are acting on behalf of the club or not. Real Madrid has spoken with Porto and Chelsea about the player and I understand that enquiries have been made with his agent by Arsenal.}
