PS. We, nor ANY other team will be signing Pogba this summer. He is and will be a Juventus player next season.

That's a shame. I really like Pogba, even though he is an ex Manc.

Agree2 Disagree0

Pogba is a started at juv. At arsenal he would be on the bench/sub on.

Wanyama is in talks with both Celtic and several other clubs about leaving this summer. It is unclear exactly who these clubs are but Arsenal are certainly one of them, given Wenger's previous interest as well as the player being the perfect mould for Arsene's system of play.

Knowing that Wenger has been given a large amount of money to spend this summer (although I don't expect Wanyama to cost us more than £12million), I'm sure this and champions league football puts us a fair distance ahead of other potential suitors.

Wanyama should stay at celtic arsenal mid table next season beat barca with celtic

Agree0 Disagree7

Celtic fan here, we are getting mixed reports up here about Wanyama he said recently that he would stay for another season to get more games under his belt in europe as he is guaranteed 1st team football with us rather than warm the bench of a prem league team. The other reports have him linked to Arsenal, Man utd, Inter, Stoke, Fulham and Newcastle. I hope he stays with us for another season as he is still a young man learning his trade but money talks these days before what might be best for him long term. I personally think he is already good enough to play at the highest level we shall wait and see in the next few weeks what happens. I do suspect a bit of a bidding war to get his signature as he is in demand by all acounts if Celtic decide to cash in.

WOW you can fall asleep with your eyes open!

Agree0 Disagree0

No player in Scotland is worth any more than £8 mil. 12 would be way to much for an inconsistent player.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a Gers fan and I agree with the guy that's said no one worth £12m Up here.

Wanyama say about £7m and celtic will bite the hand for that. But these days clubs bid funny money. there talks of bale leaving for around £80 - £85m. Personally I think £40m is his value.

If I was Arsene I would look to bring in Cesc or even Yaya. But £12m for wanyama no way!

Oh yeah I am also a Arsenal fan too.

Arsenal inquire about Joel Matip (Schalke Defender)

Believable19 Unbelievable64

He played very well against us in the CL last season.

Perez of Madrid basically saying £25M not enough for them to sell Higuain, If they won't sell for that figure then its a shame because there is no way we will spend anymore than that so that's us out the running

Believable74 Unbelievable22

Basically saying? - did he, or did he not say it?

Agree1 Disagree1

Im sorry, but there is no way Higuain is more expensive than RVP, and RVP was better.

Agree2 Disagree2

Think he's just playing hardball right now, they are quite clearly after Cavani and Bale and if the get one of these in I think they'd be more than happy to get Higuain off the books.

Also I believe he said euros so that about £21m so £25m may just push the deal through, but certainly if I was arsenal i'd wait till Madrid made there signings.

Agree0 Disagree1

Typical Real attitude to transfers. Expect top dollar for everyone they sell as surplus to requirements, but try to secure new players on the cheap.
Their oft repeated line about having to break the current world record for Bale at £80m + is just moonshine. If they do go for him, expect initial bid to be about half of that sum.

That's fine, Dortmund said lewandowski is available for £25 million, I'd have him over higuain every day of the week!

Agree5 Disagree1

They will sell for less than that imo. Doesn't make sense to hold on to a player who doesn't start and lose out on around 20 million.

Plus, if they buy two new strikers, he'll be 4th/5th choice, so what's the point in paying him lots and losing out on lots of money (from selling him) just for him to sit on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree1

Fair enough, isn't lewandowski available for £25 million, I'd have him over higuain any day!

Agree3 Disagree1

He is a good player and will make a name for him self in england. But £25million no go. tops I personally would say £18million.

Rvp was sold for 24M because he was 29. Marca newspaper stated juventus offered 22m euros but Madrid want 30m Euros. Lewandowski wants to go to Munich, Dortmund don't want to sell to them. He has a year remaining on his contract. As I have posted before, Juventus can't buy everyone as they have already purchased Llorente. They can't buy Higuain, jovetic and Tevez. So let's be hypothetical. Chelsea buy Cavani. Madrid buy Luis Suarez. Juventus buy Higuain. And that leaves Jovetic, Villa, Benteke and Rooney assuming he departs utd. There will then be Arsenal, Athletico Madrid (who have 53m in the bank)utd (if they sell Rooney)PSG, if they want a forward and spurs (if Joe Lewis gets his cheque book out ). Things could be very interesting because Madrid and PSG might have new Managers in a few weeks time. km

Agree1 Disagree1

If true, which coming from a certain red top already it looses its credibility, then perhaps AW could move for Lewandowski instead. IMO a much better player

In what transfer market will you pay 18m for Higuain? Its not 2005, its 2013 - the prices are rediculous, but they aren't changing just because Arsenal want them to. Also, Ivan gazidis said yesterday that Wenger decides if he wants a player based on his ability, not on his price tag. SO, if Wenger wants Higuain then we will buy him, and if he doesnt, we wont. There is no proof of us wanting him in the first place, its pure media speculation to sell papers.

Agree2 Disagree0

Deja vous? Anybody still think we're on a spending spree? Or about to embark on one? Sorry. The cynics who run the club are rolling around holding their sides. We will be mugged off again. Just wait and see.
However. the romantic in me imagines that things will change. and Ka-pow! The quality starts rolling in. It happens in fairey tales. Happy endings? Could Arsene break his long held beliefs?
He may have negotiated a finders fee on £70 mil.

Agree0 Disagree1

This time around I would support Arsene not to splash cash. Its ridiculous to pay over £25m for Higuain

Agree1 Disagree1

I honestly don't see juventus getting in a bid over us.

i think for 22mill he is worth it. even at 25mill I will take him, considering, players like cavani and falcao go for 50 mill.

for me higuain is the type of player who will be loyal, and we will love him.

lewandowski currently is a better player, mainly due to game time, but he is nothing more than a nasri type.

jovetic, is the last option if we have to consider him, but not over 18mill if at all.

Agree0 Disagree1

Just because you sell your players cheap it does not mean that other clubs have to.

You obviously do not rate him if you think his not worth 25m

Agree0 Disagree0

I really don't see the need for another striker to be honest. Podolski could be fantastic if given enough game time and giroud can only get better. Not to mention Walcott showed how well he can play as a striker this season. Personally if wenger was to buy a striker, I would love to see huuntelar who has been incredible in the bundisliga. I would also like to see lewendowski, however I beleive Dortmund are tripling his wages so he signs a new contract. To be honest though I can see us getting a garbage player like remy or demba ba.

@ Lakerville Lewandowski is class and has all round qualities to his game, he can beat a man, long shot/close range, power, skill, aerial presence he is better than Higuain but Higuain is still class. Rest assured he will become an Arsenal player. Higuain
