For a start he isnt a winger an been played out of posisition, get of the lads back hes still young and i bet every one was chearing his name against chelsea n yids, play him down the center and watch the boy go

I won't shed a tear if we do.
He doesn't have a footballing brain and I'm not convinced he'd be much better up front.
Also, at 23 years old, he's more middle aged than young,... in footballing terms, that is.

rumours please ed
hello there everyone. FISH N CHIPS here. sorry for not posting recently but this is because i've been on holiday and been busy finding out information about our transfer news.
first of all i can confirm that we WON'T sign lewis holtby due to his fitness problems. this has alerted liverpool as they are intrested in him.
second we WILL sign matias suarez as he will be granted a work permit. he will join as they have finished everything needed but they are close to a move for a player that is in the french league and so are going to complete a double deal. that player is Morgan Amalfitano if i'm not mistaken as i got told we are close to agreeing a deal for a marseille midfield player. Amalfitano seems the obvious player that it could be as he's unhappy at marseille and would be up for moving clubs.
And on that note, that's all from me. i will post an update next thursday to inform everyone of the transfer news involving arsenal.

This just not seems right...he is not even a regular at marseille's first team...dunno why we looking at him.
After considering players likes M'vila, capoue, marvin martin, gourcuff and debuchy this is what we settle for.

It's being reported in Italian newspapers that arsenal are after sneijder and a £20 million bid would be enough for inter Milan to let Him go after the inter Milan manager said he is not part of his plans for the coming season also it is sneijders dream to play in the premier league

Victor Moses to Arsenal
Arsenal are lining up Victor Moses as a replacement for contract rebel Theo Walcott.
The Gunners winger's deal expires next summer and the 23-year-old is yet to commit his future to the club.
And boss Arsene Wenger is preparing a bid for Wigan winger Moses who shone as the Latics avoided relegation from the Premier League last season.
Chelsea have already had a £4million bid rejected for the 21-year-old but are expected to return with an improved offer.
Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has warned potential suitors that Moses will cost £10m.
Whelan has offered his prized asset a new long-term deal worth £20,000 per week, but Moses has made it clear he does not want to extend his stay at the DW Stadium.
The youngster has set his heart on a move to Stamford Bridge, despite interest from Liverpool, and now Arsenal, according to the Daily Star.

Breaking News:
According to the Rennes Manager Arsenal have decided to pull out of the M'Vila deal even though it was all tied up.
Not sure if it's 100% true but would be a shame now.
Although until I see these quotes I still believe M'Vila is done

Its a record signing so make sense that the board would want to delay the announcement until after RVP departs, coz the money from RVP sale is going to be used to fund this M'Vila and Giroud transfer. The board is too stingy to spend anymore on transfers sadly.

Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi has admitted that recently signed striker Olivier Giroud is a direct replacement for wantaway captain Robin van Persie........... {Ed035's Note - that is unoffical and was reported in the daily mail. no one knows what RVP will do, Arsenal FC have lost world class players before and we still survive, no player is ever bigger than this GREAT club. RVP shouldnt be allowed to hold the club to ransom, if he wants out then let him go, no where in the world will he get the support he receives from Arsenal fans. personally i think we have got a bargin with the signings of podolski and giroud who i think will do very well for this club, next season is looking good in my eyes}
Believable37
Unbelievable13
I agreed with Ed035, far bigger legends have left and Arsenal have been fine! Podolski and Giroud look like great signings and I'm looking forward to the new season :)
Agree0

He also said that the club are working hard to keep RVP.
Giroud is a long term replacement for RVP and was signed early as a contingency in case he leaves this summer, but it's not guaranteed that we'll sell him in this window.

I think its a win-win for arsenal. If he stays and sees out his 12 months, he will have to have another good season to promote himself as he will be 30 when hes due to leave. If he stays long term then great also. If he goes this summer we can cash in and get better injury free tallent that doesnt take 8 yrs to have a good season!
Agree0
Disagree0
The chances of Van Persie having a season like last one again are slim I'd say. Let him go to join the likes of Flamini and Hleb. The grass ain't always greener.
Agree0

I hope VP goes to Man s**tty and brakes his leg. how dare he manipulate us gooners into thinking he loves the club. i also think Podolski and Giroud are good signings at a good price. we will be no worse than last year, and if Jack and the OX play to ther potential and the new srikers score 15 each we will be better.
Agree0
Disagree0
To be fair Giroud is a really good signing for us. Been swigging up a lot on the fella and from what I've seen the 'good with his head' statements are lazy at best. He only scored once with his head last season and what you notice is actually good touch, quick initial burst of speed and intelligent all round play. Most of his assists where with his head it seems and he holds up play well. Think we have a Ba at the least and maybe a Gomez
Agree0
Disagree0
Have you guys noticed that since RVP had that cow placenta rubbed on his ankle he has been injury free.
Very strange if you ask me!
Hope he stays and Walcott can jog on as he has to be the most inconsistent player in the world of football, plays s**te for 4-5 games then plays 1 good game and everyone thinks he is the greatest player on earth?
Deano

Tbf Theo`s not really a right winger.I would like to see him in a 4-4-2 as a striker, who knows if rvp goes could be a possibility.I think he got enough good attributes for him not to just be released on a free or on the cheap.
Agree0

I think Grimandi's words were taken out of context and like all of us, we dont know RVPs intentions...but just goes to show that when a quote is made, the media will twist it one way or the other.

Now, I don't usually post "we're signing this person at this time rumours" and i am putting my neck out a little, but a good friend tells me that arsenals next signing will be announced by Monday, and it's likely to be a midfielder from Ligue 1, funny thing is he says it's 100% not Capoue, (a little dissapointed if I'm honest), but his source also says its not looking likely it's Yann M'villa.
The only players I imagine it could be there are (my guesses here, nothing factual) Gourcouff or maybe someone like Morgan Amalfitano?
Sorry I can't get the name of the guy, and I wouldn't usually post this, but this is the same guy who told me the timeframe podolski would be announced as done (if you don't believe me, use the search function, I posted the day before he was officially announced on the arsenal site, that podolski would be announced in the next 48 hours)
If nothing materialises then I'm honestly sorry, so don't get your hopes up too much!
I wondered if Ed's or any other readers are getting anything along these lines?
Cheers guys.

To the last poster, M'bia is a good shout, I only said Amalfitano because I know Marsielle have to sell before they buy this window.
Plus he'd fill the cdm needs and can play cb, both quite effectively, my only concern would be facing him, song and frimpong away at the acn.
Like I say guys, please don't get your hopes up, just incase it doesn't materialise as planned, but this is just what I'm

Kyle Bartley promoted to First team. Miquel to go on loan possibly Brighton.
As reported yesterday M'vila deal was done a while ago 4 year deal reported.
Wenger bought Giroud to replace RVP so any other signing will not be replacement but just to bolster.
