Sorry to say this but it is my understanding that RVP will be leaving to go to PSG who are looking to buy up top talent for an assault on the Champions league. Giroud is being bought in as a replacement.

As long as we get a good fee for him and the money for the team is reinvested I will be happy
Song an Walcott must resign though as it would raise panic alarms if three first team players all left in same summer (again) and may not deterring players coming in
But Walcott and song resigning and quite a few names comin in fair play
I song were to leave I feel m'villa coming in may soften the blow as many will feel he is a good (if not better replacement)

RVP will not go to PSG... he will stay or go to Juve or Barca!
Barca will probably not be interested though as they have messi and villa coming back from injury. i also dont think he will want to play in italy so looks to me like he will stay. i also dont believe arsenal will allow him to leave and risk losing him for free next year

Yeah i don't think they would allow him to leave and risk losing him for free... probably just be one or the other?

I really don't see RVP going to Juve - Turin is the last place I expect him to take his family...

PSG what a load of bull, if RVP goes there then it is only about money and he was never going to re-sign so lets get top dollar

Why go to a corrupt league? Bs
Agree0

Rvp might leave, but it won't be to PSG,Why would he go to a team who can't even win Leage1 yet.If he stays at Arsenal,he will stand a better chance of winning things, now that we are bringing in some quality.

Arsenal fans rvp aint going anywhere...why would he leave the best capital ,the best stadium, the best fans his family is settled...arsenal are on the up....he is working along side mr wenger bringing in new talent, have faith !!
Agree0

RVP should go to PSG, it's the future...Arsenal is the past, no title will be won in the next years...
And the PSG squad is already more competitive for the champion's league than Arsenal.

I'd just like to clarify for people what's actually been said and why in regards to Giroud.
Montpellier's coach Rene Girard did indeed speak on RMC live last night but the ACTUAL quotes are as follows.
"Giroud loves England as well as Arsenal. We know Wenger wants him in his team. If they make an offer, that's probably where he'll go.
It's likely that Giroud had to go to Arsenal In this case we'd like to get Chamakh on loan but I don't know if it is possible."
In other words he's coming to Arsenal IF the clubs can most definitely agree a fee (Personal terms with the player are done). The sticking point is Chamakh going the other way...
Montpellier want him INITIALLY on a loan deal with AFC paying a % of his wages as they have a strict policy in place.
If this can be negotiated (or the fee in general) expect an announcement in the coming week or so.

Hey Dial, what do you think of Proper Gander's announcement that M'Vila will be announced by Friday? Said that if it doesn't happen, he'll gladly apologize and admit that he's wrong.

"I wish"? "Real Interview"? It's as if you're trying to accuse me of lying? lol
No-one said anything about the internet interview...
...He said this ON the radio; live on air... The quotes I've posted are direct from an RMC reporter.
Don't believe me, fine. Check Daily Mail and other British Press also check Sky Sports News. Because they're all running with it now.
Please... I don't post lies.

We have got a 10mil bid for Djourou ? I just saw the report in which his agent was quoted saying this ! Well what are we waiting for ?

10mill for 4th choice cb gotta sell him, considering he's useless
Agree0

Its not a 10 million bid but an offer that prob includes part of his contract signing on etc.
His agent, said: 'I saw my client the other day and he was enthusiastic about both Napoli and Italy in general. So far we have received an offer worth £10m.
'At the moment Napoli are not on the list of appointments but everything is possible. If he leaves the Premier League he will play in Italy or Spain.

That would be the value of a contract offer NOT a transfer fee
Agree0

No he isn't just talking him up. He's going to Napoli for 10m Euro's / 8m GBP.

Hard to believe if they've ever had the misfortune of watching this clown play. If anyone is insane enough to offer anything for Djourou, let alone £8 million quid, I'll be happy to deliver him myself.

Hi. Was in london at weekend and spoke to a guy claiming to be brother of guy on board at arsenal. True or not i dont know, but he states van persie is leaving. But has verbally agreement not to make public till arsenal have all their targets, hence not making the prices hype up due to clubs knowing we need replacement. Also arsenal hoping he has good euros to bump price up. Wenger wont sell to english club thou, he said strong rumours are to italy or psg. He disnt give any names on people coming in but said most interest is in players in france. Mvilla, goroud & sakho are bein discussed, wenge has to clear players out to thou but clubs interested preferring to wait end of transfer window where can often save money. gutted about van p exit but at least doing it right way and moving on! Guy also mentioned usmanov is deaperate to buy arsenal and wud pay double value ov club to get it.

What a load of ..... i thought RVP criteria was to win things ie Champs Lge or a major euro lge - PSG France are you sure even Italy and Juve.
Its only Real, Barca, Bayern or Arsenal

Sounds very accurate. I havea feeling RVP is leaving. We have Podolski & if Giroud comes it will be a great signing. As for Usmanov, I would love to see him & David Dein at the helm.
Agree0

OMG - cannot beleive the response above - you actually beleive the tripe posted by someone so illiterate?
Agree0
Disagree0
With the addition of two, physically powerful, established strikers as well as new solidity in the midfield to protect our back four, the introduction of Bould to coach the defense...why would RVP want to leave NOW? I think he signs nothing and waits til Jan. to see what's up with this radically new team.

What a load of rubbish.

The very fact we bought Podolski so early and are allegedy showing an interest in Giroud would suggest that RVP did the club the courtesy of being up front about his intention to leave. I'm assuming his genuine affection and respect for the club means that he's keeping his mouth shut about it to avoid queering the pitch on any other transfer deals AFC are pursuing this window. The man wants to win things and he knows the current regime at the club are unable/unwilling to deliver a team that will help him do that, so he's off.
Agree0

I have absolute respect for Van Persie. However, we must not forget the only loyal people to which ever club you want to mention are the fans. Fans do not flock to Man City from Arsenal, or anyone else just so we can celebrate a Championship win. Van Persie will go and good luck to him. Lets not forget he has been with the club for 8 years. Most of that has been on the treatment table. He has had one fabulous year. On the law of averages he could quite conceivably be injured all next season. As for the guy calling the oringinal post illiterate.. It seems to me the original poster is not English. I bet YOU could not post in his native language. Dont be a cock

Hi, in response to bad spelling i apoligise as was typing origanal message while on treadmill. In response to why wud van p go psg or juve. He wud be moving to favourites for league titles in respective leagues plus earning mega contract all 29 year olds wud be looking for. Like all arsenal fans i hope van p stays, but if he was why wud he not have signed already? also with wenger favouring the lone striker why wud he be spending £20-£25 mill on podolski and goroud plus wages if van p was staying? I hope the doubters are right and van p stays !

Zenit open official talks to sign Arshavin (BBC gossip teletext)
Believable22

Arshavin has talent, but he's a busted flush at Arsenal. Burned his bridges with the majority of the support, so I can see why the club want rid. Question is will we get our money back? I doubt it.

If he keeps playing like he is playing now at the Euro we can get a fair price

Apart from getting a holding midfielder who can actually hold, shoring up our shonky defence is surely the next priority. Cover at centre-half and right back (Mertesacker, Squillaci, Djourou and Jenkinson all hopeless) and a decent left back (Santos OK going forward, but suspect defensively. Gibbs just appalling). Wenger buys too many diminutive attacking midfielders who don't have a defined role while the defence is left to rot.
