According to the metro arsenal will use the money from cesc on marvin Martin and Andre ayew both replacements for fabregas and nasri this means we will have the 22million left from nasri too spend on defenders like cahill.so expect 3-4 new signings before the window shuts

Believable23 Unbelievable31

Metro been reading the ed, they are so lazy

i have it on good authority that arsenal's no.1 target for a CB is still Jagielka, expect a new bid to be made this week in the region of 15/16mil. i can also tell you that the no.1 target to replace fabregas is hazard, scouts have been sent to watch him this weekend, and a bid is expected to be made once fabregas is sold, bid is to be £20mil. there are 2 players arsenal are looking at to replace nasri- marvin martin and andre ayew, martin is believed to be available for about 9mil, and ayew has a release cause of 13mil. a bid for martin has already been rejected by sochaux, new bid is expected.
a ST may be signed but only after bendtner is sold, vela goes on loan and whether campbell gets a work permit. expect this signing to be a deadline day deal.

p.s. Ed, what happend to vertonghen? im sure someone on here mentioned he is certain to come. {Ed001's Note - as far as I am concerned he was never happening, if he was going anywhere it was City.}

Believable14 Unbelievable21

This all just for fun

Forget Jadson, the real brazilian Arsenal are after is Paulo Henrique Ganso. Should Tevez not be exchanged for £10m + Nasri. Then expect a club record transfer to be made for PHG of approx. £25m.

The Emi-Rat.

Believable24 Unbelievable16

I sincerely hope you're right.

Really hope we dont sign Dann we need great players not ok ones

if we bank all the cash from nas and fab deals and dont buy qualty there will be a seson ticket up for grabs

heard Dann is a smoke screen for Subtic I am praying that this is true

and would not mind johnson invouled in Man city deal he can be a little greedy at times but i think we need that

no chance of tevez i thinks sun trying to sell papers to make up for no money coming in from news of the world

Believable16 Unbelievable10

Disagree-Birmingham had one of the best defensive records for sometime in the PL and that started to slip pretty much after Dann got injured...

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with all this dann bashing?
hes a good prospect who has prem experience. in 20 matches last season he had 6 clean sheets. may not sound alot but for a team that was relegated thats pretty damn good. put in easier terms he had 1 more clean sheet than cahill and played in half the ammount. doesnt sound too bad now eh? {Ed001's Note - also Brum's defence was their strength before he got injured, after his injury it was terrible.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not saying his bad just not great if he was as good as you say he is surley someone would of bid for him by now as as everone knows that mr yeung needs the money badly or been included in a england squard ahead of Brown or lescott - I remember johan had a amazing run in the arsenal team without losing a game but i still never thourght he was the answear

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott dann is a good player, he wont be a starter though. I think wenger is very happy with vermaelen and kos.

we will not sign tevez and quite frank I dont want him..

Wenger has privately conceded that his reign at Arsenal has come to an end, with newly rich PSG keeping an eye on him

Believable18 Unbelievable33

Why would he concede this without trying all options. Chelsea's conveyor belt of managers all spent millions and millions and didn't achieve what RA hoped. AW has done one thing over the last few years and that is spend as little as possible. The commercial interest in the club has decreased massively with our lack of start talent, maybe increased a bit with Wilshere but certainly not on any kind of international scale. Wenger should not go unless he makes 3 or 4 20-30m signings and still fails to win anything.

It's kind of like telling someone they can never take off the stabilisers on a bike and then branding them a novice. Daft

Agree0 Disagree0

I always felt that Wenger will go when he feels he has lost the fans faith in him. He clearly feels that last season we challenged well on all fronts & yet he receives criticism, despite having to compete against the financially doped clubs. His demeanour has changed since the days of David Dein, he sits on the bench clearly suffering, bent over clutching his stomach. His press conferences are becoming embarrassing. I hope I am wrong, as I have been a great supporter of his. There are 2 managers available to take charge, Martin O'Neil whose enthusiam would be welcome & Mark Hughes, anothe decent manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

French journalist mentioned that month ago on talksport

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe this is true and he will jump before he is pushed. he will be gone buy xmas.

Agree0 Disagree0

Congratulations. You can read goal.com.

Unfortunately, goal.com is about as accurate as Antony Kastrinakis at The Sun when it comes to Arsenal. Which is to say rarely, if ever, accurate.

But continue to live the dream of Arsene Wenger leaving Arsenal at any point this season. For some of you, it's the only reason to get out of bed in the morning it seems. How sad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene wenger is a arsenal legend and rightly so wont dont people like u get off his back and support the club? that is iff yer an arsenal fan and not a spud

If he goes , we will regret it, name a replacement, dont come up with the c%rap names of oneill or moyes

It looks like we've signed Jadson to replace cesc fabregas according to the independent

www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/arsenal-snap-up-12m-jadson-as-new-cesc-fabregas-2336087.html

Believable6 Unbelievable19

Wenger has said we are not in for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger said in a press conference that he isn't interested in Jadson or Mata

Wenger also said that he didn't expect anyone to leave i.e Cesc or Samir.

Alex is poised to sign for Juventus for 7.5million. In my opinion this is a bargain and Arsenal should get him. He's got premier league experience and is strong, tall and solid at the back just what Arsenal need.

Believable28 Unbelievable8

He's lack of pace.. {Ed001's Note - he is very quick.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree but would chelsea sell him to us? If so, at the same price ?
You would hope wenger would've at least considered him, but maybe he already has...

Agree0 Disagree0

As in Chelsea's Alex? He's amazing, what is our club's problem?? He is better than Cahil and Samba IMO, what on earth is wrong with us?

Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be ideal, but there is simply no way Chelsea will sell to Arsenal, unless it involves a part exchange with Nasri.

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy who says Alex lacks pace clearly only has football knowledge from his fifa on xbox

Agree0 Disagree0

My friend is a cab driver in London had a guy in hes cab who is friends with Alex....he told him 6 months ago that both Alex and hes wife hate living in London area....hasnt got a grip with the lingo......so dont matter if he costs 2m...whats away from England....

says in the sun that tevez could be a swap deal for nasri plus 10 mill ( which we pay of course ) what a great deal this would be i dont expect this to happen but if it does then we owe wenger a lot of credit , it also says in the article that tevez would be delighted in a move to arsenal :)

thoughts everyone ?

lc-gooner

Believable12 Unbelievable30

How bout tevez wage?
i think it is about 180k per week at city.
do arsenal willing to pay an equal or higher wage to tevez?

Agree0 Disagree0

He would cost us ten million a year in wages if not more, doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be great, but the club will never match tevezs 250k a week wage demands

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be awesome, but price wise its £50m for Tevez & £25m for Nasri, which leaves a gap of £25m to bridge, In addition we would have to fund Tevez's wages, which would be far in excess of our current wage structure. Can you imagine the excitement the signing of Tevez would bring

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Arsene and the board want to show the fans that they can bring a world-class player to the Emirates. Tevez would be incredible and in the system Arsenal play he'd bring a cutting edge.

Agree0 Disagree0

With bendtner fabregas and nasri off our wage bill maybe we could offer him 180,000 per week.
van persie and tevez would be unstoppable. Anyone else heard the rumours about ganso?

Agree0 Disagree0

I get what you mean guys but they did also say he would be delighted for a move to the emirates so if thats true im sure hed take a pay cut
and id love ganso at the club such a good young but PROVED player

lc-gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Am I the only one not liking the thought of this? Why Tevez? RVP is better. Tevez isnt as effective out wide. He wouldnt fit in our team. Anyway, he isnt an out and out striker. He is best sitting behind a striker.
It isnt going to happen though. The most rediculous rumour around

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 09:56:52
In:
Gervinho
Jenkinson
Miyaichi
Oxlade-Chamberlaine
Campbell

That's five signings but four are unproven kids, not good enough IMO for what we need right now.

Out:
Clichy
Fabregas
Nasri
Bendtner
Eboue

Actually feel sick when I look at what we're gonna lose, will go as far to say I'd wanna keep Bendtner, things need to be sorted fast, with a new CB, a class act in midfield, and a proven striker because VP will get injured at some point and we re left with Chamakh.

In God I trust, hope you've been listening to my Tevez prayers

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Miyachi isn't a new signing...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh in truth he isnt but he hasn't played a competitive game for us and has just received his work permit so in affect it's gonna be like a new signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Teves is not gonna happen...but you are right mate...spot on

Agree0 Disagree0

Losing Bendtner and Eboue makes you sick

why?

Wenger is trying to put a lid on transfer talk, but fans need to know what is happening especially if you have bought season tickets.
It is obvious that Fab and Nasri are leaving, what is not so obvious is who is coming in.

I suspect there will be a number of comings and goings over the next few weeks, i think the following will happen :-

In
Dann, Cahill

Out
Bendtner, Lansbury - Loan, Squillaci, Frimpong - Loan, Fabregas, Nasri

Believable2 Unbelievable18

Frimpong is going nowhere. Wenger was very disappointed to not have the boy last year due to his injury, and it is hoped himself and Wilshere will form a formidable partnership for years to come in the heart of the Arsenal Midfield. 'Mon the beast Frimpong

Agree0 Disagree0

No way frimpong is going anywhere, he's immense, he should've played all day today against the toon. He would've shut joey barton before he even had the chance to post on twitter...

Agree0 Disagree0

13 Aug 2011 10:22:14
Arsenal will not sign anyone else because Wenger has already signed 4 people and that's enough for him

Ok let's get this sorted once and for all. Fabregas IS going to Barca and, fair play to the kid he is a Catalan through and through it was always going to happen and to be fair he has done excellent for us so let just accept that we have had his greatest years and now he will be like 90% of the players that leave us and do nothing under perform and end up realizing that the grass is not always greener.

As for his replacement?? Who knows, to many names Being thrown into the hat.

And lastly onto Nasri. Again great player he has had some cash waved under his nose has got pound signs in his eyes and wants up sticks for the blue half of Manchester. Now tell me this, 4 years ago would Nasri be thinking of signing for city instead of playing at Arsenal?? NO so it is obviously about their new status and MONEY So, sod him let the money grabber go and join Clichy, Toure and Adecanthitabarndoor the later who I think has done a marvelous job since leaving Arsenal haha LOSER anyway I am not going to speculate on who we may buy as I think every CB,MID FIELDER on the planet has been exhausted let's just wait and see I feel Wenger will spend 40mil before deadline and then another 20mil in January.

Keep up the good work ED :-)

Fabregas, Nasri & Arshavin all set to leave. When you consider Gael Clichy has already left, the future of Arsenal lies in the balance. The board are worried that the team is falling short in every position. Van Persie will thrive with Gervinho, as there styles are very much complimentary.

With key players leaving Wengee has been charged to ding world class replacements. The issue is the lack of silverware has become a stalling point for the large majority of players. Anyway here are the targets:

Bentley £10m
Arteta £14m
Jagielka £13m
Samba £12.75m

Believable1 Unbelievable35

Theres Nothing World Class There

Agree0 Disagree0

Bentley? no chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are talking about david bentley why would we buy him back for 10mill at arsenal he was lazy and had a bad attitude plus arshavin has come out and said he is stayying at arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Bentley? As in the ex-Arsenal Bentley who didn't make the grade and was shipped out and has done nothing since Bentley?
If it is a different Bentley then I am unaware of the player, if it is the same Bentley, put down the crack pipe, get yourself up to speed and stop pretending to know what is going on.
On another point, I rather doubt Everton would allow two of the best players to leave, and I haven't bothered to raise the point about Arshavin, as I doubt he is going anywhere as he has continously said himself.

The future of Arsenal lies in the balance? As in financially secure, lot's of top class youth coming in and through, ahead of the financial restrictions, not to mentoin many of them from the UK.

Apart from that a great post.

Kermit79

Agree0 Disagree0

Bentley 10 mil? you're having a laugh mate No way would we resign that pompous diva, even if he was half as good as he thinks he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bentley is rubbish. Loks better than he is. Arteta is world class, he would walk straight into every national team perhaps germany, brazil and spain, but apparently being 31 and injury prone makes him a non starter.

Jags is completely over-rated and not what we need in a defender. if he is what we need then Kos should be fine - they are similar. Samba is what we need and IMO the player we should have signed up 6 weeks ago.
Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

You call them world class replacements for nasri and fabregas LOL

Has any one had a look in the sun today? I know its a cr*p paper but its reporting that we are demanding tevez as part of the nasri deal This would be the deal of the summer if aw could pull this off
Matt

Believable6 Unbelievable21

Saw the article but imagine there is a 0% chance of it happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a hope in hell it will happen. the wages will be to much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great idea lets sign a bigger headache than Nasri, if i thought he would behave himself then yes but he wont because he is Carlos Tevez

Agree0 Disagree0

I know mate it is hilarious, but I believe 100% false. Just the media trying in their round about way to put us down by showing us what we can't have.

We can dream hey?

Arsene said we won't sign mata....i think the deal for cesc is off...or we really are going for jadosn and god help us all if that happens

A GOONER NOT IN THE KNOW

Believable10 Unbelievable15

Take it with a pinch of salt if you watch his news conference you can clearly see he is messing with the press (he loves that, better than winning a trophy for him)

Agree0 Disagree0

Relax he also said we are not interested in Jadsen

Always thought we'd sign no one.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not saying this deal will happen- but seriously do you believe anything wenger says in public? Just think of yesterday...(whatever the reasons) ?

tbh my first instinct was great, that probably means he'll be signing soon.

On one hand people were slamming wenger yesterday saying I don't or never will believe what he says again, etc but straight away you believe that, without question ?

As I said not saying it will happen, but just at the same time I don't quite believe it either, as wenger seems to like play poker too much when talking with the media...
LG

Agree0 Disagree0

Why god help us, Jadson has proved recently how good a player he is and he is a brazilian international, get a grip and stop being attached to Fabregas and Nasri When Ronaldo left United everyone said they would fall apart but other players step up, stop being a pessimist and start supporting the team you supposedly love

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene also said he was not signing anyone last week, two days later AOC joined us. Yesterday he said no one was leaving, Nasri and Fab4 still are. Then he says his squad is too big, and then goes and signs campbell
hes just messing with the press which ultimately most people will believe.
I still have faith that he's got his replacements in line and its only a matter of time till they come, primarily once Fab leaves and Cashni leaves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hold on....how is jadson a proven international. At 27 you would think a big side would pick him up....well they haven't. If you want to see the future of Arsenal look at cesc. The best play maker in the world. No onE can construct plays the way he can. He spots a pass several mintues before many top footballers. Remember the 2-1 win against barca? remember the ball fabregas played to nasri. No one except for him xabi alonso and xavi could play that 10/10 of the time. DON'T be moronic. If we lose cesc we are losing possibly the greatest playmaker the premier league has ever known.
