What striker are Arsenal actually interested in?

I was thinking Niang as well when Ed mentioned French youth international. {Ed002's Note - M'Baye Niang is a 16 year old with difficulties remaining over his contract. He could not move without a parent or guardian moving with him until he is 18. Price is meaningless as he counts as a "student". Perhaps one for the future.}

Source close to the emirates has informed me that Wenger is ready to buy a striker.2 possibilities which interest wenger.T.HENRY(ON LOAN) OR PODOLSKI.Wenger will also buy Granero for 7 million.If the deal fails then wenger will go for Gourgaff on loan deal.Kaka also being monitored.AND Gary cahill will come only if squilaci leaves.

Granero/Gourcuff: Granero WAS an AFC target 1-2 months ago. Won't happen as he will be going to Chelsea, ala Mata. As for Gourcuff; Grimandi said on Canal+ we're no longer looking to sign him up, permanently or on loan.

Kaka: A loan move for Kaka is probably the only sensible post here but even that's taking into account we wanted him on loan in Summer but Mourinho said no - But is now looking to loan him off.

Cahill: Right here, you're taking your fantasy of wishing Squillaci would leave & we'd get Cahill. AW said Bolton took the p!$$ in Summer w/ their asking price & Won't be going back for him... Besides he's been DIABOLICAL this season for BWFC.

Ed do you honest think that T. Henry wouldnt love the chance of a loan deal even after the hype of the bronze statue of himself displaying what he ment to the club. besides that he loves the club he got a loan offer im sure he wouldnt turn it down after all didnt A.W say for hes age he has unbelieveable pace and skill. {Ed001's Note - and what happened if he played badly and destroyed his legend? I doubt he would want to risk it now.}

Ed002 - I kind of think signing him wont happen but have to strongly disagree with you when you say 'he would want a rest'
He probably does need one but for AFC and only AFC, a rest would be the last thing on his mind if Wenger gave him a short term deal. I think he would be grinning all day.

There are no players like henry ed. thats what makes him the legend he is to the club. {Ed001's Note - he was a great player, but RVP is at his peak, you need someone to support him, not overshadow him.}

Dnt you forget they played as team m8s im sure they wouldnt over shodow one another after all aint it about the team one man cant win a game.besides henry well know for hes playmaking . {Ed001's Note - the same Henry that Arsenal fans said the team played better after he left because he was overshadowing the team? Arsene Wenger has today come out and said "we lose Gervinho and Chamakh to ACN so if an opportunity we to arise in that department then we will buy"
Strikers i have heard us rumoured to
>Benzema £30 million
>Podolski £18 million
>Hulk £24 million
>Neymar £40 million (i dont know there actual prices it is just and estimate)
Personally i would take Benzema or Neymar but they would be the most expensive. I know Neymar is a long shot but Wenger recently said if he had the money he would spend it on Neymar and today he has said he would buy a forward(Neymars Position) and he also said we are in a better position financially than our rivals, so my opinion is justified

Well your opinion about neymar is justified but very very optimistic. and do we really need a forward? we still have van persie, walcott and park when gervinho and chamakh leaves. winger would be more needed if you ask me. and honda is an opportunity, there's a real bargain waiting!

No chance on any of them apart from Podolski.

Neymar was gonna join real madrid in the summer but was persuaded to sign a contract to keep him in Brazil until the World Cup - so he is a no go. Would love it if we signed Henry on loan to cover the ACN then look to sign a big name in the summer.

I reckon one of those would be brilliant but Neymar won't happen he has knocked back Real and co and we just can't challenge those clubs in terms of wages.

Plus he has just signed a contract to Santos for 6.8 million a year. Thats like 130k a week I think, so we can't touch that without completely rethinking our wage structure which won't happen.

Hulk is valued highly by Porto and they won't let him go easily. Even though he is one of my favourite players he does not pass very regularly and often blazes shots miles over. Not very 'Arsenalish'. Still he is a fantastic player and would play left wing attack brilliantly and add another dimension to the team its just I can't see it happening.

Benzema is always linked to us. Then again I think every good french player is linked to us at one point! Benz is first choice at Real though I reckon Higuain would be more 'available' but Chelsea would be a more likely destination for him due to wages etc. Only way this could happen that I could see would be RVP going the other way and nobody wants to see that honestly.

Podolski would be the most likely option being the cheapest, most experienced, not cup tied and has come out and said he would consider joining us. I honestly think we have a brilliant shot at signing him but Wenger will probably buy someone nobody expected! Lets just hope whoever signs is a good player and most importantly a player who scores.

Hulk Great finisher, provides strenght and hes a poacher with in the box, so if the gunners are accused of walking the ball into the net well atleast with him we have alot of goals to show for it.i still think tho . the spurs outcast soon to be offered to Q.P.R Pavichenko should be a brill partner for V.Persie

I think we will buy a striker, although Wenger has come out and said we could end up playing Theo up front

Podolski, granero and vertongen ( who can play multiple defensive positions to cover while our full backs recover.)

Koln will look to sell podolski especially for £18 mill. No one else has shown an interest that can sway podolski from us.

Considering Podolski's past (the fans actually paid for him to go from Bayern back to Koln) - i personally don't think he'd settle in well (from memory, he was upset at Bayern)

Neymar could only cost £20m

Hulk is highly rated by Porto and there was rumors back in the summer,that Anzhi Makhachkala were intrested in him and deal was about to go through at an estimated price of 87ml.

why are we allways linked to benzema i really think higuain is a better striker and would probably cost less because hes not playing as much.

The rumour is a straight swap - Benzema for RvP. Rumour was bull. The -actual- agreement was for Benzema to join RvP at AFC once Neymar joined Real; which is no longer happening.

This sucks we cant sign any quality signings. we will probably end up buying kalou!!!
