to cut the rumours about Hazard. he is not going anywhere this transfer window not to united not to city no to madrid or barca (not to Arsenal neither). Bordoaux have signed L Obraniak from Lille so they will not lose another player specially they need AH i CL 2nd Round and further. About Kaka rumours do not think he is as good as he was at AC milan. just watching him playing against Mallorca-must say our Gervinho is mile better then him (will not mention Kakas' wages demands). as I see it at this point no more signings will be made unless (and please God not to happen) WE will be beaten by united again and fail to win at swanse tomorrow. chances for 4th spot are slim only hope chelski will come back to their december form no worries for loserpool their home form is cr**. still even if manage to be 4th looks like 7year in a row nothin into the cabinet-but as a Bible say"after seven poor years there will be seven fat years" or somethink like that

Arsène Wenger says Marouane Chamakh will not be sold during the January transfer window.

The striker is currently on international duty with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, a tournament co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea this year.

Chamakh has been linked with a move away from Emirates Stadium but Wenger expects his player to return to Arsenal next month.

He is at the Africa Cup of Nations, nothing will happen there, the manager said. Will he come back? Yes.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS chamakh will defo leave when wenger say's someone is not leaving then it means they are.

Matias Suarez - "Arsenal [have] contacted my agent [but] I will finish the season with Anderlecht."

In other words the reports from Suarez's agent, of a Pre-Agreement for the Summer seem to have many legs and Matias has pretty much confirmed it.

=Miss Arsenal. {Ed002's Note - If Arsenal have a "pre agreement" with the player no doubt accusations of tapping up will follow.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

No they won't Ed... The P.A is w/ the Club & Player, not just Player & Agent.

Arsenal wanted Matias January... He actually declined although flattered, citing he wanted to repay Anderlecht by staying the full season - Agreement was then reached.

...I'm not saying this is 100% how it's gone via any "ITK" knowledge. But this is what it sounds like via words from both Matias and his agent.

=M.A. {Ed002's Note - It sounds like no more than a general approach to his agent. So you have interpreted this to be an agreement between Anderlecht and Arsenal. I would be very surprised if this were the case.}

Agree3 Disagree3

The talk of the pre-agreement was before the above quotes, in a previous interview and story. - This I've posted now is all follow-up from the past 24/48hrs Ed.

Player says that he will not be leaving until the end of his contract, according to Sky.

Perhaps if we have a pre-contractual agreement it is for the end of next year not this year.

Hopefully we can get somebody in this year though, as we need a goalscorer now not next year! Be it Suarez or somebody, either way is fine with me so long as we get somebody who knows how to find the back of the net.

This whole Matias Suarez saga is virtually one guys word against the whole world in truth. He has something like 98 followers on twitter before this whole saga, he now has thousands therefore meaning more hits to his blog too. Don't be surprised to see in the summer "Arsenal pulled out of the deal at last minute".
fats

Agree1 Disagree1

He actually doesn't say that on Sky Sports, CS.

"I want to, at the very least, finish the job that I started and that is *helping the team to win the title*, which is what everyone deserves," he said in De Standaard.

"I don't know where the story has come from that I will be joining Arsenal *this winter*, but I can formally deny it."

As I've been saying... He was contacted initially for January - Which as much as he was flattered, said he wanted to help Anderlecht to the title [this season].

Anderlecht & Arsenal have both refused to be drawn on the "Pre-Agreement" when discussed which is the REAL STORY; they just continue to revert back to Matias not moving this winter Transfer-Window.

This is what continues to confuse everyone I can see. The [denials] are all for January. Any possible positive story revolves around him coming to Arsenal, in the summer.

Similar story to the one with Chamakh [RE: All the denials] except that was between AFC and the Player/Agent as it was involving a Bosman move as opposed to an actual Club to Club fee agreement.

=M.A.

Agree1 Disagree1

Fats,

This "one man" (whose name is Javier Perez) is an extremely respected and reputable journalist and reporter out of Argentina but who also works worldwide - And is quite new to Twitter. He is also very close to Suarez's camp (Much like Philippe Auclair who broke Nasri to MC last summer is, to Nasri's camp).

His initial story was backed up by Joseph something [last name escapes me] who works out of Belgium and is a Sports Reporter and he was also vouched for, by Auclair.

This is not just some randomer on the internet who wants to get followers.

=M.A.

Agree4 Disagree0

Okay, that's fair enough but would he even be able to get a work permit though!? That's another reason why I doubt this story. I guess only time will tell. We'll see...
fats

Agree1 Disagree1

Maybe Jan was a smokescreen all the time? I mean all both clubs & the player mention when this P.A's now bought up is he's not moving "in THIS Window". They avoid all PA talk and Suarez directs Media to his agent.

Figure it like this... As I've been explaining to people who've mentioned it.

**Arsenal come forward for him. Knowing full well we won't get him due to the permit issues [in Jan at least] so the neg's were never for this winter window. - They're also fully aware he's about to be handed the Belgian equivalent of the Golden Boot.

**The "Golden Boot" is pretty much a shoe-in [pun intended] for Suarez to be getting int'l caps. Golden Boot also indicates exceptional talent - Both of these would almost certainly guarantee him a permit or in best case scenario exceptional grounds for a case towards one.

**The fact it'd be tough but also the grounds for a case towards a permit is one of the reasons why Arsenal were going in so early [winter] for a transfer in July/August. - The time-frame.

If you consider it like this it does tend to make some sense.

=M.A.

Agree3 Disagree1

You have to remember that the Belgian league is a very sub standard league so winning the golden boot there isn't a stepping stone for him to get a international call up not saying he definately won't get called up but I can't see it giving him any major advantages so I doubt arsenal will sign any pre contract until they are sure he'll get a work permit last thing we need is to buy a player then loan him out till he gets permit! But hopefully he does get a call up because what I've seen of him he looks like he could do well at AFC!
Gunner14

Agree0 Disagree1

M.A seems to talk quite a bit of sense and also seems well positioned.

So M.A, will AW bring anyone (the living legend that is Henry aside) in this transfer window?

Agree3 Disagree0

Oh and in addition to my last post......

When will Jack be back?

Els

Agree1 Disagree1

What MA says is right and to add to what MA has said Arsenal and Anderlecht have an agreement for working partner relationship as in any youngster Arsenal have problem getting permit will be loan to them and vice versa if they have exceptional youngster we can buy from them. Money provided as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

To M.A

He did say that on Sky and I actually posted the link to the article but it was pulled down by the mods.

If you go to Sky.com and search his name you will see all the articles of recent, this is what I did as part of my research on the player. BBC ESPN and Sky all report the same things which tells me there is a good chance they are true.

Player and agent both agree he is not leaving this season, in addition to this if you check his clubs official site they seem pretty sure he is staying.

So it would be extremely unlikely for him to leave and come here.

Not been on here for a few days orrp so and saw a couple of days ago that we were linked with Dann on SSN. Their "sources" are usual wrong half the time so I was just wondering if there is any truth to this rumor.

Do you know of anything Ed?

Cheers

G95 {Ed002's Note - Nothing aside from the rumour I am afraid.}

Believable0 Unbelievable7

It looks to me like SSN are just reviving the link from the last window. I think that he is nowhere near good enough for a mid-table club let alone Arsenal. He looked good at Birmingham but the way they played anyone would have looked good at CB. Furthermore from what I have seen this season he looks distinctly average at Blackburn.

GUNNER15

Believable5 Unbelievable32

You cant be right cause Cissokho on the way to a medical at Newcastle. Also Podolski is injured and wont move until summer.

Agree7 Disagree7

You've basically pulled out 'rumours' that have been ongoing since the beginning of the window (Podolski, Cissokho and Henry extension).

And on top of that taken a summer rumour which has resurfaced on Footy Bible (Kaka loan story).

You've no sources and have no absolute credibility on these stories...

=M.A.

Agree7 Disagree3

Yeah it does seem to be pretty unlikely doesn't it. Podolski is a probably no way, as is Cissohko, whilst the Henry extension is almost certainly not happening either.

Your source at The Emirates huh? Pray tell, Gunner15 what your source does as 'from The Emirates' could be anybody at all.

They have toilet cleaners, and if your source is one of them I expect their knowledge level is similar to stuff on their toilet brush.

Yes, I mean s**t all :) Lol

"Chelsea and Manchester United have been given a major boost in their pursuit of Lille's Belgian star Eden Hazard after he let it be known he would be interested in a move to the Premier League."

Hate this....Arsenal not even mentioned :( Man U will b hard to beat if they get Hazard and Sneijder.

If only AW swas waiting quietly and planning a big bid...lol

Marty {Ed002's Note - Unless an extraordinary bid is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Real Madrid or Barcelona is his preferred destination. PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. I don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem - although the club have spoken with Lille with a potential deal being sweetened with a Chelsea youngster moving to Lille in the summer.}

Believable4 Unbelievable6

To be fair MUFC/CFC weren't really mentioned but for the title of the piece and the fact CFC bid 10m+ less than Hazard's value last week.

Headline doesn't reflect the article and shouldn't be even looked at, IMO.

Ed do you know if Soldado is available and is there interest form Arsenal? Also do you think that we can sign Giuseppe Rossi? {Ed002's Note - Certainly Liverpool have shown some interest in Soldado who is having a good season but his availability in January is by no means certain. Milan were also interested in the player but have perhaps been a little distracted by Tevez but PSG are beginning to see if Soldado could be attracted to Paris. At about 25M euro or more Soldado would not be cheap. Rossi will not be an option.}

What's the story with cissokho lads hearing he is for sale good player is wenger watching him or what

David 6

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Hi mate, it looks to me as though there's a lot of media hype around us signing him, but I'm not actually sure if we've made any official enquiries, or if Wenger has ever said anything publicly about being interested. Hey may be one of only a few sensible options for us so people are jumping on it. It may be that we're genuinely interested though, I hope so.
Raz

Agree0 Disagree2

According to the papers, we can have him for 8mil, but Wenger only wants a loan deal.

I can confirm from a source (has connections to many English clubs) that we are getting a new number 10. You might think I'm crazy because v. Persie has that number, but he is willing to give it up to ease the new signing. If you look at the pictures of Arsenal training against Swansea on the Arsenal website, he is wearing the number 11. 100% true..

Problem is my source won't tell me who it is.... my guess is sneijder, robben, hazard or gotze, but tbh they all seem out of reach....

Gooner from the US

Believable5 Unbelievable18

Players wear all different number jackets or jumpers wen they are training

belfastgooner

Gooner from the US checks out on the 'RvP wearing #11 shirt'
How reliable is your source ?
(taking rumours with a pinch of salt! no offense intended mate ;))

PdotY

Agree2 Disagree4

No way we would strip the best player at the club of his number! And why would he give it up? How does having the number 10 help a new player settle in? Ridiculous rumour

Agree10 Disagree1

To the last poster= i too don't believe this rumour, but it's funny how little things make big changes, remember Ivan Zamorano wearing no. 1+8 shirt for Inter?

Toshey

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously, why is RVP wearing 11 unless we gave Jack 10, which I'm cool with...or maybe new signing?

Wow, now I'm kinda semi-excited...

US Gooner

Agree2 Disagree3

Nah, players often wera different/old tops for training, plus if rvp goes to 11 what number does santos take?

Agree3 Disagree0

Omg lol players wear any jumper with any number on it when they train haha i seen rooney trainin wif no.9 b4 did that mean he wantd to swap numbers wof berbatov? noooo it meant he was cold and grabd da closest jacket to him

belfastgooner

Agree7 Disagree0

Sorry, but sounds like complete and utter nonsense. RVP is not giving up his #10 jersey to anyone

ibster

Agree3 Disagree0

In relation to RVP just picking up the shirt I would generally agree however everybody else is wearing their squad number and there is one picture where it looks as though he is just getting to the training ground with it on.

This for me adds some glimpse of truth for the OP but I doubt we will see any major activity however much we might all want it.

Agree0 Disagree1

RVP has always been wearing the #11. He is not giving up #10 jersey because he doesn't wear one

Agree0 Disagree8

It will happen. True that the v. Persie top thing is sort of unrealistic but my source, from the uk, knows a lot of agents and stuff and he told me we are getting a new number 10 type player, not neccesarily that he will het the number 10 shirt. Kaka ronaldinho esque player

Goner from the us

Agree2 Disagree0

Thank you belfast gooner...I hate being the guy to consistently shoot rumors down, but thanks.....

...maybe Santos will be 11.5...unreal the rumors you hear nowadays

US Gooner

Agree1 Disagree0

If you notice RVP is the only one not wearing his correct number, and if you look in the past everyone also wears their correct number. Possible deal coming in? I'd say so

US Gooner showing his wisdom and thought process on "soccer" again...

Agree1 Disagree1

I'll put this to bed now.

Players cannot change shirt numbers halfway through a season... Hence why Henry couldn't take the 14 off of Theo, despite rumours.

Agree3 Disagree2

11 was his old number, just an old jumper!

Agree2 Disagree1

I don't care about what number rvp has got on in training...

Let's just hope he "gets in the end zone and scores a point past the opposition goaltender" today. ;-)

Dubz

Agree4 Disagree0

Ur welcome US Gooner, the whole number thing dosent mean jack s**t in training, if he had said i have a source blah blah blah and x y z is coming then i would not have said anyfing, jist startin to annoy me now with all da crap rumours and no movement from arsenal

belfastgooner

Agree3 Disagree0

Wow ! its amazing how rumours begin... the shirt number business, being almost a validation of a 'source'...? Sometimes we see what we want to see...

well in a couple weeks this window closes, we will know for sure by then how crazy or perhaps not this is.

But I suspect we wont be seeing a new player wearing the No 10 somehow.

Agree1 Disagree0

As I said. You CANNOT Change shirt numbers halfway through the season.

So Gooner from the US. You're fibbing out of your Arsenal.

=M.A.

Agree4 Disagree1

Wasn't No.11 one of his old number, he could just be wearing one of his old training jumpers?

Agree3 Disagree1

Who's the smartass who calls me out, when this isn't my thread, then doesn't sign....ya, I do know a TON about soccer

And when Nike, Reebok, Gatorade, ESPN, CItigroup, Bank of America etc have their way, which is soon, the whole world will be calling it soccer honey...

US Gooner

Agree0 Disagree7

Sorry US, someone on here will always pull you up about the soccer thing because your a yank.

I don't think anyone will be calling it soccer over here anytime soon that's for sure.. I can't understand why Nike etc would want to change the name of Football into Soccer anyway? Confusing...

P.S what the hell is Gatorade?

Gilo {Ed007's Note - Gatorade is a US brand of a glucose based drink.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Powerade are distributed by Coke (or Pepsi)
and Gatorade are distributed by the other one

can't remember which sells what
it's like comparing Sprite with 7Up, it's essentially the same thing

Agree0 Disagree0

If they ever start calling football soccer and going all Americanised i think I'll start watching ping-pong should be against the law to call it soccer its football and should never change
