Hi Ed, so yesterday you said afc's first choice was Carvalho and they would only turn to Krychowiak, if they couldn't get him. Carvalho has just got a 3 month injury, does this mean AFC now finally are turning to Krychowiak?

{Ed002's Note - It depends on whether or not Arsenal wish to wait.}

Ed, thank you always for thé info.
Just a quick quest, do you expect thé injury to affect thé asking price? Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Not once he has proven himself fit - they don't want to sell so why would they sell cheap?}

According to reports, Arsenal have submitted a bid for Karim Benzema. The bid is said to be aroundthe 42m mark, with Real Madrid apparently happy to sell. Manchester United are also targeting the French star.

Real Madrid won't be happy to sell , Perez runs everything there and he loves Benzema. I could only see maybe leaving if aguero or other top striker targets come in.
God knows why wenger hasn't swooped for Lacazette yet

{Ed001's Note - Rafa wants to build around Bale and use Ronaldo as an out and out striker, Benzema is not necessarily going to be first choice.}

Thanks ed , did not know that . Very interesting decision don't you think

{Ed001's Note - well Perez loves Bale, it was his signing, so probably explains why Rafa got the nod. As for Ronaldo, he can no longer do the job he did out wide, so needs to play more central and run less. It is probably necessity really.}

Ed02 do you think arsenal may make a move for benzema? Thank

{Ed002's Note - It is possible. I understand that the asking price for Callejon has not impressed either Arsenal or the other interested side.}
14 Jul 2015 11:02:26
Probably an impossible question Ed but do you think Arsenals interest in a striker will depend on whether we give Walcott a new contract? Also do you have any idea how talks with Walcott are progressing?

{Ed002's Note - No, Arsenal are actively seeking a couple of players - including a striker.}

Even the possibility of signing benzema is exciting news

Ed are Arsenal looking at callejon to fill the striker position, or as a wide player. I know he can play in a number of positions but if Arsenal were to buy callejon would they stop their search for a striker or still be looking for one. Thanks

Thanks Ed. Are they looking to sell Walcott, Giroud or Welbeck then? I'm glad, it just seems strange that they want to resign Walcott & still buy someone? I guess Walcott could be moved back to the wing but it seems unlikely after the end of last year

Walcott will not playing a central striking role for more than a couple of games. No chance

The rumour I have heard from a friend in Madrid, is that Real want Koscielny and Arsenal would do a deal involving Benzema coming to the club in an exchange deal. Hence why Arsenal are being linked with various CB's, despite having 3 first choice ones, plius Chambers who will, in all likelyhood, become a CB.

It would be a mistake big time, we have more chance without Benzema than we do without Kos.
Gabriel Kos i like a lot but we might get away with Mertesacker Kos but Mertersaacker Gabriel for a season? Frightening to say the least.
