Eds, I suppose it is worth asking now, how does the club failing to make the Champions League affect us in the transfer market?

I arrogantly assumed we'd get top four and the names mentioned were possible, but is there indication Arsenal will spend now to sign the same players or will our targets change from those previously mentioned? Does this make Wenger more likely to stay or will an FA Cup see him walk away?

I know that is a lot to ask, but presumably a lot changes for us now. Any insight?

Thanks again guys. Appreciate the info.

{Ed002's Note - It makes it more difficult to attract players at the highest level. Right now all signs are that Wenger will look to stay but there are issues with two senior folks at the club.

The targets will remain the same but the club will need to look elsewhere or hold off until next season if they cannot get the players they want. Right now Wenger has continued to be involved in the selection process and has been meeting with scouts and the board regarding recruitment.}

we're still a big club with lots of ressources in an amazing city. We shouldn't have that much difficulty attracting talent. We might not land Griezmann or Lukaku, but we were never going to pay for them anyway.

Ed002 thanks again for the reply. It's good to hear we'll try for the better players (hopefully we can improve the team! )

Can I ask what is likely to happen with players already at Arsenal? It doesn't seem likely we will keep Alexis or Ozil now with PSG and Bayern sniffing around and no Champions League. Could we also lose some others that we maybe didn't expect to? (like Chamberlain, Giroud or Ramsey, etc? ) .

Obviously I understand that you can't speculate, but is there any serious interest in any of our players from other clubs?

Personally I think the situation is a bit worse than Arsenalex and other fans might realise. Players don't care about history they care about trophies and big competitions. That's why we get top players ahead of Liverpool and others.

Thanks again. Know you're probably busy.

{Ed002's Note - I think Perez will certainly go. Barcelona are keen on Bellerin but are coming up with alternatives - so it remains a maybe. Jenkinson will leave, Sanogo and Zelalem don't look like they have a future at Arsenal.}

Zelalem is a weird one. i expected big big things from him. maybe will do well in germany.

Exactly derby I did as well. Was never given a run but I can only Assume he didn't deserve one from training performances.

Ed i know one of the folks your referring to was Gazidis. Whos the other one? And is the problem about arsene not keeping to his deadline?

{Ed002's Note - It is unimportant.}

gnabry never really got a run either and we really could of done with him this year!

Eden, Gnabry did get a run. He was maturing very well before his injury, and despite a bad loan spell, the club arguably wanted to play him in the first team this summer when they sent Campbell on loan.

The only way you can accuse the club of mismanagement is that they sent him to Tony Pubis at West Brom who decided he'd take his only flair player and banish him to the reserves.

Do you reckon there is anything to read into Sanchez's gesture of kissing / tapping the badge on the shirt and pointing to the ground? could it be that he was gesturing that he was staying?

Sorry mate that's a bit silly. RVP, Cesc, Henry, Nasri, Adebayor all kissed the badge before.

He has to be going now surely. Big offers, no CL, no real title challenge. why would he stay?

Because we have Wenger.

hi ed,

what is your opinion of jean seri from nice? is he a possible target for Arsenal? after seeing him play i feel he would be the perfect player to replace santi. the african cup of nations every 2 years is the only negative i see so far.

{Ed002's Note - He is attracting the attention of a number of leading sides including Arsenal.}
