Hey eds,the lacazette situation seemed to have cooled off,any news on him?the only information I know is that his playing attitude seem to be down that Lyon is willing to offload him,also can you update the latest karim saga...lastly on the potential outs and ins on other positions,cheers

Believable3 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Lacazette from a number of clubs including Roma, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Arsenal and, in particular Chelsea & PSG and there have been a number of discussions about his future - but with only three of these clubs. Manchester City moved to buy Bony in January and now need to be making space if they are going to continue their interest in Lacazette. With Jovetic and Dzeko leaving in the summer nothing will come of it unless Aguero were to also leave - and a move to Manchester City seems very unlikely regardless. Bayern have not pushed with their interest and will likely put a number of issues on hold until another matter is addressed. Juventus has moved for Dybala and that will end their interest. Arsenals efforts are also elsewhere for now. Guy Hillion has been looking at Lacazette on behalf of Chelsea and there has been a couple of meetings discussing several players including Lacazette. It was made very clear that any transfer this season would be very difficult and most unlikely - although that was before Lyon obtained a new striker. PSG are desparate to sign a high-profile French player and they will look to force through a move this summer, but it will be difficult and there is certainly no agreement at this time - but at some point he may well end up there. Roma has also discussed the player with Lyon but will be priced out of the market.

Nothing has changed with Benzema.

There is nothing else new that I am aware of.}

As regards to aguero ed. I know city have mega bucks but I think a player like him would eventually want a champions league medal and real need a top class striker. I know they have benzema and all us arsenal fans want him here but as good as he is he isn't as good as aguero and he's the only striker that could take real up another level as the other options are at barca and they couldn't get any of there fantastic three?!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Real Madrid would like to take Aguero - he is one of the two strikers they crave.}

I think sooner or later the feeling will be mutual

And if I may ask, who is the other one they are craving for? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - See numerous previous answers. It is tedious being asked and answering the same questions repeatedly.)

I assume you're referring to Reus? Just not sure if you consider him a "striker" (whatever that may mean) or if you're referring to someone else. As always, thanks.

In a throw back to the classic Wenger years, we've apparently moved to steal Clinton Njie from under Sp*rs nose, he seemed all set to join them, but has now removed the posts he had on social media about joining Spurs and has returned to normal service.
Apparently a figure at Lyon confirmed that he was set to join spurs, but a 'more fashionable' English club has joined the race.

Now, I don't really watch Ligue 1, so have little to no firsthand experience of it, but I did a bit of reading and learnt;

He's only had one full season in the Lyon first team, where he scored 8 goals in 33 games.

He's 23 years old and pretty fast and likes to use the odd bit of skill.

If anything, that sounds to me like a Wenger signing of old.
Young forward, starting to emerge on the scene, little know outside of France and Cameroon.

Not exactly the Benzema/Reus/Higuain/Lewandowski, people linked with/wanted for us if true!

It does remind me of when we stole Park from under Lille's nose though!

That all being said, there's no real evidence we've moved for him.
The Lyon figure said a English club had moved for him, so knowing our media, they could of just noticed the attributes I put above and decided that fits the bill of a Wenger deal!

He has now, completed his move to Spurs.

A decent bargain for them if he works out!

Hi D_, what hurts the most about your info is the fact it sounds so Wengeresc, so bloody true!

I would rather we didn't bother, i don't care if he's the next ronaldo or messi, its not the 'Next' we are looking for... Its the 'NOW'... We all know what happens when we get a good young 'next', they come good and f**k off to Barca!

Id rather an older player from Barca or Real like Benz, atleast he's had his La Liga experience and we can keep him till he finds a retirement-home American club!
