Mislintat leaving because of our financial position, seems like we are doomed.

Most reports say that he is leaving because he is not being allowed to grow his role into technical directorship, which Gazidis offered him on taking the job. Don't know where you got that other stuff but it sounds like nonsense.

Emery makes the comment that we won't buy this window and the media make mischief, their job is to get hits and it's in our best interests to remember the media simply can't afford for there to be no news for an hour let alone a day or a week.
How would sky fill their 24 hour rolling news if they had to stay within the boundaries of the truth.
Rob Holding is injured and Theo Walcott has left Arsenal stories get 00 viewers or readers.

Well according to Belgian media we have been offered Carrasco but can't afford him. Being reported on Sky Sports.

Ed002, is Sven Mtlintat leaving arsenal? So much going around about a breakdown in relationship with emery or Kroenke?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Possibly. There was much discussion by someone from Bayern Munich explaining that they are keen to take Sven Mislintat shoulf he come available.}

15 Jan 2019 18:25:06
Its rumour at the moment started by a dodgy rumour site. It spread on social media by people who came out and said, yes i heard that. Well if they did why did they all not say it in the first place. As yet and it may or may not change, nothing has been reported by more reliable media sites or reporters.

{Ed002's Note - I have just explained what someone from BM said this morning.}

15 Jan 2019 18:56:18
Thanks Ed, can you say why he’s leaving please?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I don't know that he is leaving - I ghave explained what I know.}

If he wants to leave already then it shows how bad things really are behind the scenes! The guy can’t do his job unless he’s backed which he clearly hasn’t been. It’s amazing how we are in such a bad place financially when our owner is worth €7 billion.

A we don't know he's leaving
B we don't know why he's leaving even if he is leaving
If true and it's an absolute huge IF there could be numerous reasons from football to personal reasons that are totally devoid of football.
Sometimes it's better to take a step back and wait and see before playing the blame game on something that is very possibly yet another hit seeking totally unfounded rumour.
Artetta Higuain Benzema the list is endless.

I wouldn't like to see him go though.

Gunner ornstein is reporting it too and i am afraid it is happening.

Of all the guys who gazidis employed before he left, it is sven i have been most impressed with. Apparently there is is power struggle between raul and sven. If i was Arsenal, i would pick sven. This man has contacts even as far as japan, has strong connections in the german and french markets which produce many talents, why lose him when we don't have much cash and we don't want to migrate from our self sustaining policy? Why?

It is chaotic at arsenal and i am really unhappy with the direction sanllehi is taking arsenal.

Let's wait and see Punnai mate, I never bought the Artetta story and I'm not buying this one because it simply looks so much like trouble stiring from top to bottom.
If every one was buzzing and we were top of the league wed be getting Mbappe stories but because we've hit a lull stiring up more concern is the easiest way for the journalist to make a lazy crust.

It is not a rumuor gunner. The very reliable honigstein and ornstein are reporting it. It is happening, sven is leaving.

The implications are horifying. How will Arsenal get back to the top when we let go off the best scout in the world and have no money to spend?

I am afraid we will go downhill from here unless we find an equally capable replacement.

From what Ormstien says there is frustration from Sven over lack of money to buy his targets but there is no fall out between the back room staff.
Imagine if every time some one became frustrated it meant they were about to throw the towel in, new marriages would be over within a day, new jobs would be quit within an hour and all supermarket shopping would be abandoned half way round the store at the first sign of anything going up in price or being out of stock.
Really does sound like gossiping neighbours over hearing part of a conversation and telling the whole street their opinion as fact.

ive read that Sven is frustrated with the board as it was supposedly agreed that he would be made "technical director" if the job role was ever created by the club. However, Edu appears to be taking this role, leading to Svens frustration. Not sure if this is true but I doubt if Sven left it would be to due to financial constraints - he must of known that there wouldn't be hundreds of millions to spend on players, which is why he was probably brought in in the first place! (to sign quality, unknown players for cheap)

Very true CB but I can see how he'd possibly be upset with no money at all being available in the January window, it's got to be frustrating to plan for months spot targets and see them go elsewhere but in my opinion that doesn't have to mean he's ready to walk.
I don't know about the Edu situation and maybe there is some truth in it but it wouldn't be unusual for a journalist to put 0 and 0 together and come up with a story that earns them lots of £s.
The problem is there are so many false stories now days it's getting impossible to take any but a select few journalist seriously about anything they report, which is a shame for the few remaining good ones.

Hey ed,
any club interested in mesut ozil?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - From Turkey but I doubt it is a financially viable option right now.}

15 Jan 2019 17:25:12
That's too bad, but thanks for the answer ed!

{Ed002's Note - They will look for solutions where they can but there is a major financial issue.}

I gather that Athletico M have lodged an £18m bid for Ozil. I can't vouch for its veracity, but on two or three news sites.

The trouble is UC they all repeat each others rumours even though they know there not true.
Each and every year the Daily Express predict the coldest winter on record and have done for a number of years and every year the other papers run an article on the back of the Express headline.
Bad news and fear get lots and lots of hits.

Ed 02 do you know if it is right we have been offered €10 by juve to let ramsey go. I know you don't like talking money but have you heard anything. Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It is rather more than €10 but they do want him now and Benatia is another option.}

15 Jan 2019 13:10:21
I'd take benatia and let Ramsey go now.

Why does xhaka start every game while we're getting rid of both ramsey and ozil?
Madness.

Completely different player to Ramsey/ Ozil. Our best midfield is still Xhaka/ Torreira with Mkhi, Ramsey, and/ or Ozil ahead of them. Bigger issue for me is why we are trying to break down a team like West Ham without a single attacking midfielder. We passed it around at the back for over an hour before Ramsey came on. It was quite a shocking performance from the manager IMO.

15 Jan 2019 06:12:14
Rather worryingly, the manager must think he is the best player we have for that position. scary thought.

15 Jan 2019 12:19:20
Without being funny Wire mate what sort of player is Xhaka?
I'm still not sure what he's supposed to be, his passing is poor as often as not and he gives the ball away in awful positions, he can't tackle or head a ball and as far as midfielders go I'm struggling to see what sort of player he is apart from the odd long range shot or pass that comes off of course.

Pellegrini outcoached Emery w/ o a doubt. He has also managed to turn what was a directionless team under Slaven into a solid outfit. Emery has us conceding more goals - go figure.

G62 Xhaka is a distributor. He is very good in that role until he makes a sloppy mistake, which he does basically once a game when he is not partnered with Torreira. When he plays with Torreira he is a totally different player because he is freed from last man duties that Lucas picks up.
