Eds, any update with Khedira in relation to the bid we made?

Couple of media outlets saying deal has stalled due to wage demands and that RM never actually received a bid but I assume that's rubbish as Ed02 said we bid!

{Ed002's Note - There would be no discussion of wage demands if a bid were not made. The update is that his representatives said yesterday that a new contract was not what he wanted.}

Ed sorry about the questions, but you see all these rumours about the khedira deal for arsenal might be off because of his demands, is it all rubbish and should we ignore it?

Oh dear Ed25, at first I wanted Bender/Schneiderlin and not Khedira but I've come around to Khedira & now I want him!

Do you expect personal teams to be a big issue then? I don't really want us to sign him if he wants more than 130 a week (I think what Ozil/Sanchez are on)

I've seen quotes from £130-200k per week. Do any of the eds actually know how much Khedira's wage demands are?

Read a good piece on Metro today. Basically they explain that Khedira wants 150 k NET, which means 260 k per week. Don't see this happening, only Citeh and the chavs can cough up this much money and be happy with it.

200k is way too much! anybody know how much Madrid have been paying him?

130k is seemly what Ozil and Sanchez are on, it should be more than enough for him.

I'm hearing he's after £150k per week making him highest paid player at the club, tbh I'd pay it knowing how good a player he is

Sorry Stubo84 but by giving in to his wage demands means that we think he is better thatn any other player we have or that we are short changing the players we have.

As much as I would like SK I think its time to raid Southampton and take Sneiderlen (forgive me if I spelt it wrong).

For me he is better defensively anyway and would save us time settling in as at least he knows the PL

Hi Eds and everyone, new to the site. wanted to share some unhappy news.

spoken to the Chairman of my supporters club, who seems to think that Khedira deal has hit a stumbling block this morning.

He seems to be holding out for £14k more than previously agreed, takign his wages above Ozil.

Wenger's stance seems to be, 'take the same as Ozil or its a no go.'

Lars Bender then?

lets see what develops.

I don't get people saying this. Apparently as I've heard from numerous people RM have not accepted any offers yet. If that's the case which I believe is how can we not agree wages. Arsenal won't go discussing terms with a player they haven't had a bid accepted for

As far as I am aware, everything was done / is done. Even the medical. The famous medical.

This new development is a recent negotiation, and possibly Khedira trying to get the maximum amount of wages from the club.

It's not totally dead yet, but we all know, Wenger won't renegotiate.
