as a finn i've had a chance to watch quite closely some finnish players (obviously). now i would like to tell something about probably the most exciting finnish prospect (apart from our own jenkinson who's half finnish of course).

he's a striker called teemu pukki. 21 years of age he used to play for sevilla but moved to finnish club hjk in the last summer. there (season in finland is in full steam in the summer) he scored plenty of goals. hjk progressed to europa league qualifier and played against schalke. they lost but pukki managed to score three times in two games against schalke.

schalke were so impressed they bought pukki for something like one million euros. this season he has scored 3 or 4 goals for them in probably less than 10 matches. i would describe him very energetic and fast, technically sound and a good finisher with both feet. he's not the strongest though but he can use his body to shield etc. in order to make it in the physical bundesliga. he soon became a fan-favorite at schalke.

now i'm not saying we should sign him but just wanted to inform you about him, after all he's one of the brightest finnish prospects. and who knows what he's capable to do after lets say two years. all i want to say he's a player worth tracking. no here are his goals for schalke so far.

what do you think? is he ever able to compete in the highest level?

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Seems like a great poacher (similar to Chicarito)

Agree0 Disagree1

This video only has 3 goals in it. If we are going to start judging people on 3 goals then we may aswell call Carlos Vela the best player in the world.
Nick.

Agree1 Disagree0

Nick

so you decided to ignore the whole text i wrote, watch the video and then moan how it didn't show enough of the player? it is supposed to be a glimpse, not his whole career in 3 minutes. you are free to search more videos about him if you want to but i didn't have the time for that when i wrote the post. i added that video so you could have some concrete footage, an impression of him in action, not just my opinions and some stats. you can't obviously judge him by that video and post but i guess everybody knew that so didn't write it there. asking what do you think was perhaps misleading, i admit.

Squillaci is on his way out of the club heading for Monaco on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer. You heard it here first....

Believable21 Unbelievable1

Was reported on a monaco fansite today after written up by french media last night

jean

Agree4 Disagree2

Well no...I heard it from reports in France first but there you go.

Agree2 Disagree3

Would rather we just find a place for him to be permament away instead of having to wait for them to loan first.. after all once they see him play they probaly wont want him!
batch

Agree3 Disagree1

Well actually it's been doing the rounds for the past week or so now... So here is not actually where myself nor a lot of others heard it first :P

=M.A.

Agree3 Disagree0

Does it really matter where it was first heard the most important question is does he need a lift to the airport

Agree7 Disagree0

Does it mean that Samba is on his way and that will not be to QPR?

Agree0 Disagree4

I said you heard it HERE first so technically i'm correct. And to be honest it was just a way of signing off. Didn't know you'd all get picky about it.

Agree0 Disagree2

If they have him on loan do you really think they will want to buy him afetr some of the performances he is bound to put in there?!
gunner89

Agree0 Disagree1

Lift to the airport! I'll cycle him there.

Agree1 Disagree0

Well I heard it here first! Fantastic replies though. Does he need a lift, will be glad to take him there?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cycle?
I'll give him a piggy back, pay his fare and pay for his duty free's.

Wenger like them cheap so why did we not go for cahill £7m !! also Berbatov is on his way for £8m yes he is 31 but will still score the goals. So £15 m and we could have had 2 decent signings.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

I thought we did go for him in the summer, we bid lower than the 12 odd million bolton wanted and we went elsewhere with per. but that was 6 months ago and we have all the centre backs we could possibly have right now. full backs needed.

casey

Agree4 Disagree1

We are Arsenal, were better than them

Agree4 Disagree2

Verm, Kos and Mert are all better than Cahill, and he wasn't coming here to be 4th choice, nor was Wenger spending 7m on a 4th choice center half

Move on

US Gooner

Agree10 Disagree1

Cahill wanted crazy wages, so would Berba

Ash

Agree9 Disagree1

He wanted 80k and Walcott wants 85k.

Agree5 Disagree0

Cahill may have wanted crazy wages but he didn't get them, £50k a week at Chelsea, nothing like the £100k plus he is rumoured to have been after

Agree0 Disagree1

Psg and anzhi both want berbatov and will pay somehting ridiculous like 30m so i doubt it very much

Agree1 Disagree0

And walcott might not even be getting 85k. also cahil sucks

Agree1 Disagree0

Wow Chelsea just gave him 50!?! I thght he got his 100 that he wanted.

arshavin contract runs out in the summer y dont we just sell him now. also there are going to be a load of free players in the summer this is what wenger is waiting for. ie rodalega, montolivio.de rossi, malouda, drogba, gomes, kalou im not saying were going to sign them all but im almost certain we will sign 2 free players. typical wenger will never spend

Believable16 Unbelievable7

His contract has 18 months left.......hes arsenals record signing so he wont be binned that quickly, but i agree with you his time is up

Agree6 Disagree1

No it(contract) doesn't, you must be thinking of rosicky or almunia, they are both out of contract in the summer.

jonah

Agree3 Disagree1

Don't Be Deceived We Are Trying To Get People Out. there's A Rumour Of Sqid To Monaco.

Im telling you mate he has 18 months left 150% sure

Agree4 Disagree0

Despite incorrect information. Arshavin's contract runs out in 2013...

Is Djourou good enough as a back up defender?

FAB

Believable7 Unbelievable25

He shouldn't even play for Arsenal,he is one liability, worse than Gus Ceaser

Agree15 Disagree3

Igor stepanovs

Agree11 Disagree2

Last season he was an integral part of our defence. statistically very good season and he for example had drogba in his pocket when we beat them 3-1. this season his form has been low and he's played out of position so it's a hard one for me...

iceman

Agree9 Disagree2

This Djourou hate is pretty unfounded. yes, he is mediocre. but if you actually watch the games without any prejudice, you will realise that he does a job pretty well. remember that he has been playing out of position in RB for 3 months, and until the last 2 games our defensive record in PL was our best for a while.

what was the difference against Swansea? i am afraid it was Miquel. he could not handle Dyer, who was instrumental to their win. Djourou actually had an alright game. I will concede that Djourou's sending off against Fulham was a big blow, but it was pretty harsh.

Djourou does not need to be fantastic - he is a decent backup and often does the job when called upon. in fact I actually think he is better in RB than CB. he should compete with Jenks as Sagna's understudy, we should sell Squil and get another CB.

so yes, he is good enough to be a backup. and i think people should stop jumping to conclusions with insufficient evidence and look at the real problems in the squad, ie our current LB crisis and a long-term goalscoring backup to RVP.

Oleg Maputo

Agree8 Disagree7

I always felt sorry for Stepanovs. He reminded me of the kid who always got picked last. Unfortunately he also played like him.

Agree6 Disagree1

Djourou was our down fall at Fulham, our down fall every game he plays,as i said if Wenger thinks Djourou is an Arsenal defender, than he should quit,Didnt you watch England v Switzerland,Obviously not, open your eyes, keep Kos,The Verminator,Mertesacker, give Djourou to Boston for free, altho i doubt he`d get in their team

Agree4 Disagree2

Djourou looked decent in the leeds game last year (when Schmeichel made the GordonBanks-esque save)

is a solid fourth choice anyway (behind TV, Kos, and Mert)

Agree1 Disagree2

He was always late when team would set up an offside trap. Last game, we were lucky not to concede 2 more goals because of him not being aware of the offside trap that team was setting up.djourou - 5th choice RB (think that yennaris would do a better job) & 5th choice CB. total liability.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sorry but Djourou is always associated with bad things that happen to Arsenal.

Agree2 Disagree0

Djourou thinks he can dribble out of defence, then goes on runs and has no idea what to do, he then looses the ball and is totally out of position, when he plays RB, he drifts in all the time and is a liability, yes he did look good last season but he now lost it big time, Wenger is too loyal, needs to get rid of a lot of dead wood...

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jan 2012 18:31:42
Walcott MUST GO, no other option guy is hopeless overrated , he didnt even mean to score last night he was trying to cross it for van the man, sell him and play ox chamber much better, im telling you if we sign 1 or 2 big players and get injuries back, we'll be up there challenging for the prem no bother.

Jelavic from Rangers aswell on the cheap mabey 7 million, good player needs a step up from scots prem.

should go all out and sign Goetze, this guy is going to be the best player in the world in a few years.

and Huntelaar would score 20+ a season with arsenal im telling you {Ed007's Note - Jelavic is nowhere near good enough to play for Arsenal. Do you actually watch the SPL?}

Believable15 Unbelievable16

Why does Wenger not realise when a player is not destined for greatness and sell them and cut his losses (Arshavin, Bendtner, Walcott,...)

Ash

Agree9 Disagree4

Because, despite being the best Manager we have ever had AW is too stubborn for his own good, in fact too stubborn for everyone's good except for Bendtner, Denilson, Djourou, Senderos, Eboue, Almunia etc. They all love his stubborn streak!
The Squire.

Agree8 Disagree0

Are you wise??? didnt mean his goal??? Trying to cross to van persie??? firstly it was a well taken goal, secondly van persie was about 25 yards from goal (the closest player to walcott was ramsey n he was 20 yards from goal) thirdly atleast watch the highlights before u make a stupid statement like that!

Agree10 Disagree0

Walcott is having a tough time an the Ox does look good. But Ox has had very little first team football and may not sustain such quality over a long period. Remember how good Walcott was when he used to come on 4 years ago (eg Carling Cup final against Chelsea, Champions League against Liverpool)? How do we know that the Ox's similarly great performances wont lead to a difficult time in 1st team football? Theo has a love-hate relationship with fans because he is so affected by confidence. But when he plays well he is bloody good, you would be a fool to deny this. Dont write him off yet, this will just be a brief downturn.

Oleg Maputo

Agree8 Disagree1

Well taken goal my behind, the only thing walcott takes well is his monthly wage packet, and its the only thing he done worth mentioning last night, any striker with any ability playing for arsenal should be tucking that sort of chance away anyway, not remember against wolves he was clean through , and flapped it wide like a pub striker, hes hopeless, i take on board your confidence point but hes a young man getting to play with some of the best players in the world week in week out, if hes not up to it (which hes clearly not) he shud go somewhere else where he can play not so much a prominent role, we need players that deliver every week

Agree4 Disagree3

He fluffs more sitters than scores.

Ash

Agree3 Disagree0

If Ox starts most games, walcott will try to improve trying to get 1st team place meaning 2 quality guys competing, atm, walcott just lazes around, doing what walcotts do, not putting in extra hours working on his crossing and general usefulness, but his pace is useful, start Ox tho.

Agree3 Disagree0

I agree that walcott must stay but on the other hand: Arteta had to take a huge (as far as I know) paycut to complete a transfer to us (was on 90k in Everton) - now look at him / Walcot wants 85k and look at him now. He has to be fair to the club and himself. His performances are not worth 40k a week. Ok. It's agent and stuff but he is not a greedy person like Nas or Greedybackdor, so I think he'll sign a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo should be centre forward with RVP in the playmaker (bergkamp) role

Agree1 Disagree1

Unless he has tried it in training and knows that it wouldnt work, Wengers should really do just that (Theo-center forward, RVP - CAM/hole)

Agree0 Disagree0

He didnt mean to score? are you well? i hope not. worrying that 15 fools think the same as u. get a job and something else you clearly have no clue about football.

Kronke out ushmanov in
www.ipetitions.com/petition/get-kronke-out/

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Utter waste of time....billionaire businessmen don't sell businesses because fans dislike them...and stank kroenke could care less, his focus is on the st.louis rams rebuilding, as we are already a well-oiled money machine for his pockets

save your time and energy

US Gooner

Agree10 Disagree0

Must be a legit petition - can't even spell his name right.

Agree6 Disagree0

Signed

Agree2 Disagree3

Kroenke will do just fine. If he pays as much attention to Arsenal this summer as he is to the Rams for the NFL offseason there will be reinforcements brought in if Wenger allows it. The Rams have replaced their general manager (the guy who negotiates and signs players) and their head coach by hiring Jeff Fisher (a coach with over two decades of coaching experience. He became majority owner of the Rams in 2010 and is now making his mark.

St. Louis Gooner

Agree3 Disagree0

Kronke is an American, He`s love is the rams, not The Arsenal, He`s just like the Glazers, and been very badly advised, but if he does not listen to the True supporters,he will regret it

Agree5 Disagree1

Kroenke is a business man. His love is profits, and he's pretty damn good at it considering he's a billionaire.

No way does he lose the type of sleep we lose after ANY of his teams lose. His focus is on the Rams, because the NFL is a guaranteed money maker. Never has it been as undisputed king of American sports as it is now.

Arsenal, pound for pound, are the 3rd most valuable football club in the world. This, and not our cries for changes, helps Stan Kroenke sleep quite comfortably, regardless of how we are doing.

Again, this, like at Newcastle, will undoubtedly be an utter waste of time. Spare your energy to something more constructive...

US Gooner

Agree4 Disagree0

"He`s just like the Glazers, and been very badly advised, but if he does not listen to the True supporters,he will regret it" - regret it? how?
we'll boo him to death?

Agree3 Disagree0

Kroenkes' sports teams have not won a thing for 10 years now. Why should he care if we win or lose or buy top class or bargain basement players. He isn't bothered about making the fans happy or winning silverwear.....it's all about the profit margins and nothing else.

Agree3 Disagree0

We only make money cuz of the champs league and selling are best players and not replaceing them so if we drop out the the top the profits drop with them soim hoping we dint get champs might give the board the kick up the ads they need

Agree3 Disagree0

Say what you want about it but people are signing the petition and fans that actually go to games
Malaga gooner

Agree1 Disagree0

They are wasting their time. If you choose to do so, you are too.

Empty stadiums ought to attract top quality players to sign for us. This is genius talk...

Oh the wit of many of our faithful....

US Gooner

Agree0 Disagree1

I have read most of your posts us gooner and am sick of the way you respond to people all the time if you don't like there posts.
What is with you, with your typical American attitude that your right and every 1 else is wrong or is it just we have an American as a major shareholder
If a fan wants to spend the time to organise something that he feels strongly about who are you to tell them there wasting there time.
You talk about the stadium being empty and attracting quality players get a grip the stadium has been full since we opened it so you tell me where is the quality
Your a typical pro wenger and board supporter in denial all the time
You talk about us having a class team and you will argue with any 1 about it are you for real,we have an average team with a couple of good players and a couple of world class Players.
It's people like you that have made it easier for the board to spend no money
Are you related to kroenke
Malaga gooner

Agree3 Disagree0

Ah you mean the top quality players we are already signing...?

What difference does it make? The only thing that will bring change, is to hurt the pockets of the board- sorry state that we have got to.

Blackburn player Christopher samba has put in a transfer request. This is exactly what arsenal need a good strong centre back that's not afraid to put his body on the line him and the verminator will be imense in cb plz buy him wenger

Believable10 Unbelievable10

The only Transfer id love to see at Arsenal, are David Dein and Usmanov ? IN.

Total tosh, although he's decent he's not we need to change at the club right now. its strikers and fullbacks we are down on.

dj van balen

Koscielny over him every day of the week.

Samba would be good, give them Djourou in part exchange,He certainly would buck our defence up,The Verm can play Left Back, when Santos/Gibbs are injured,Healthy competiton for places, our defence would be sorted

GK: Szczesny, Fabianski, Almunia, Mannone, Martinez
Get rid of Almunia and Mannone, Promote Martinez

CB: Koscielny, Vermaelen, Mertersacker, Bartley, Miquel, Djourou, Squillaci
Get rid of Squillaci and Djourou and bring in an experienced CB, give Bartley a go

RB: Sagna, Jenkinson
Keep the same

LB: Santos, Gibbs
See how it goes and see at the end of season

CDM: Song, Frimpong, Coquelin
Keep the same

CM: Diaby, Wilshere, Arteta, Ramsey, Rosicky, Benayoun, Lansbury, Denilson
Send Benayoun back, give Lansbury a chance, sell Denilson permanently, and see at the end of season if we still lack the spark in mid with Wilshere back

RW: Walcott, Gervinho, Chamberlin
Keep the same, give Ox more game time, and drop Walcott for Gervinho

LW: Miyaichi, Arshavin
We need more here, apparently Matias Suarez looks a done deal, he looks a good buy, and Arshavin is class give him at least to the end of his contract

ST: Van Persie, Vela, Chamakh, Park, Campbell, Afobe, Bendtner
Get rid of Bendtner and Chamakh, and give Park and give Vela a go

Gooner99

Believable21 Unbelievable10

I agree
I'm guessing that you feel suarez could play as an ST as well so we would have suitable back up . And as for the experienced CB since samba has handed a transfer request would you take him?
1732

Agree3 Disagree1

Yes Suarez can do that and so could Theo, wed have a beefed up attack i think, which would give us options, and i would take Samba anyday, he is evrything i wanted Mertersacker to be

Gooner99

Agree6 Disagree0

I Know We Have A Few Wingers But No Left Footed Wingers Thats Something That Needs To Get Sorted.

Agree8 Disagree0

Heard wenger trying to re sign keown

Agree5 Disagree2

Makes sense but throw samba or like minded defender into the mix we are bad in that area

Agree1 Disagree0

nAre we sure Suarez is coming in the summer?

US Gooner {Ed027's Note - no its not certain, but looks likely

Agree0 Disagree0

To the earlier joke of Keown returning, its not actually a foolish idea, not as a player but in a coaching role, we know Pat Rice isnt gunna be with us much longer so why not have someone like Keown or even Adams if hes available as the number two, Arsene clearly isnt a defender at heart and these two could have a major influence on the teams defence in the dressing room

Agree1 Disagree0

Adams has publicly said he will NEVER return to Arsenal while Wenger is still there, as he won't listen to anybody

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree as long as rosicky doesnt mind being a sub we should give him another years contract, if not then we thank him for his time and move him on.
sell walcott and arshavin, stop being sentimental and bring in someone who will help win trophies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep deffo get rid of squillaci, almunia and mannone, and get some new blood in there.
walcott is playing pretty well so far but needs to work on his shooting gervinho too.
arshavin is a great player but isnt playing at his best for us any more. and it would be good to see the likes of suarez, marko martin or marvin martin come in.
we could do with another forward to replace chamakh and bendtner.
but in the jan window we really do need a defender or defensive midfielder to plug up the gaps.

what ever happened to Vrsaljko

he was basically a dead-cert to be joining us last year
and suddenly he's completely off the radar

surely as a fullback cover and back up DM, he'd be worth a punt (particularly given our injury crisis atm)
and with the interest seemingly dropped (by all clubs) his price wouldn't be too bad {Ed002's Note - He is still available.}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Lille striker Moussa Sow has alerted Liverpool of his interest after revealing it would be a 'dream' to play at Anfield.
The 25-year-old striker, who has also been attracting interest from Tottenham, was top scorer in France's Ligue 1 last season.
"I am at Lille now but as we all know I want to play in England one day," he told Sky Sports.

"Liverpool, well, that is a dream club. Anyone would be happy, scoring goals in front of the Kop can be the highlight of a career."

Wont be hearing any players as good as Sow saying the want to come to Arsenal the way we are going.

Arsenal should hear comments like he wants to play in England this and get in early with a big bid...

Marty

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Why would some one prefer Liverpool over Arsenal? Hardly much difference between the two except league position.

Agree6 Disagree1

"Wont be hearing any players as good as Sow saying the want to come to Arsenal the way we are going."

All agent talk. Not even 2 weeks ago, Sow said this EXACT thing about Arsenal.

=M.A.

Agree8 Disagree1

Arsenal will not sign Moussa Sow or anyone else for that matter. The budget was blown on the brilliant Mertesaker, Gervinho, Santos, Koscielney, Squilacci, Arteta and Chamakh. They all seem such a great swop for Fabregas, Toure, Clichy & Nasri.

The Swansea game has ended you season as it has burst the bubble of the returning Talisman. It is time to face the facts:

1. The club is too financially driven with little ambition.
2. Wenger got lucky with a couple of the many cheap signings.
3. The outlook is getting worse by the day as even Europa places are looking beyond you
4. Your squad is the worst for 25 years, and is saturated with Bolton, Blackburn and West Brom level players.
5. You are in a worse state than even the bare form suggests as Van Persie gas scored or created the majority. Without him you would already be down there with Wolves and Co.
6. It looks incredibly likely that Van Persie will leave in the summer, and therefore next season with less money and support from the owners you will consolidate mid table form.
7. You already know it is dire as you have won nothing for a decade and your league position was a default of Man City , Spurs and others not pushing for glory. How the times have changed and now Arsenal have less attraction and buying power compared to Man City, Man Utd, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and even QPR are knocking on the door.

So Gooners it is time to admit you are in the doo doo, and face it there will be no miracle signing. Time to look at lower levels players in the summer after Can Persie leaves. I hear Jenas will be fit then, perhaps Zamora upfront and Shaun Wright Phillips will make up your £35m for VP.

Goodbye Arsenal for 15 years we won't miss you. Watch out for Fulham and QPR ad they are you Derby games now.

Denis the Menace

Agree11 Disagree16

Why can't Spuds fans stick to their own rumour pages?

Agree14 Disagree1

Although this an attack our club, some of what you're saying is sadly true, but that is exactly why it won't happen the way you suggest...

If you think we [the fans]will put up with that, you are kidding yourself- very soon, at the end of this season, there will be an effort to shift this current board- then Usmanov will take over and arsenal will be back to being the consistent club, challenging for honours like we have always been.

Thanks for your assessment, but it will not be goodbye for 15 years... we're be back much sooner than you expect, hope you'll come back here then and pat us on the back :)

Agree12 Disagree1

Denis the Fart. Seems more appropriate to me.

Agree10 Disagree1

Haha 15 years... We have dug ourselves out of deeper holes then this.

I don't know if you realise this but we had quite a few players injured/unavailable against Swansea. Namely; Wilshere, Diaby, Vermealen, Arteta, Gervinho, Gibbs, Santos, Coquelin, Sagna, Jenkinson, Chamakh.

You drew to Wolves with a full strength team. Once you hit injuries like we have let's see how you cope haha.

This is the first year you have been anywhere near the title in quite a while. So well done, but don't get too cocky.

Gilo

Agree11 Disagree1

This can only be a spuds fan .. 15 years is roughly how long its been since u finished above us , no longer than that.. enjoy yer 1 season then harry for england , adebayor back to city modric to chelsea and u back to mid table where u belong

Agree12 Disagree1

A couple of losses and suddenly everyone is depressed, considering the terrible start to the season and the 8-2 against man u to be in the position and still battling for a champions league place as they are now is quite an achievement, not to mention a couple of mouth watering ties against ac milan coming up, the man u game would be the perfect game to get back on track and push on for the rest of the year.

Cheer up everyone at least we arent yids!

bs18

Agree11 Disagree2

Funny how Spuds come on the gooners board, to talk rubbish. So yes, you maybe in better league position at the moment and even come the end of the season... But to claim to be the best London club is very optimistic, as spurs fans, unless you are over 40 this is the pinnacle for you spuds.. Never had it so good, and when Capello leaves 'Arry is off anyway,,, just like always... Triffic.. Enjoy your high moment as its the best you had since 91... and they won just the FA cup...

Agree5 Disagree2

M.A is right Sow issued a come and get me plea he also said arsenal is his favourite club,he said he would like to play under wenger, he said that he would like to play with gervinho again .Those all on different occasions .
1732

Agree2 Disagree1

Poor ole gooners, cant stop larfing. the nut wenger has created your downfall from ignorance. IN WENGER WE TRUST!!!!

Agree0 Disagree1

You know i have to agree with "Dennis",i have been saying this since august.Lets face facts, and not stick our heads in the sand, shall we.Djourou,Squillachi, are two players who shouldn't NEVER wear an Arsenal shirt,How Wenger continually picks Djourou is way beyond me,and shows Wenger has lost it,There are others alot of others, and its been well documented by all,Some people will say the Board, and i go 50/50 on that, think the Board should get Dein and Usminov ? in and like yesterday,Dein will get the players Arsenal and Wenger needs,As the current Negoiator only beliefs in how much money he can get into the Boards pockets,He is responsible for not bringing in a few players, like Reina,Mata,Cahill, etc, etc that could have fighting for 1st,not 2nd,not 3rd,and certainly not 4th,This is Arsenal, not Tottenscum, I personally feel tho,Wenger has the Board wrapped around hes little finger,so If Wenger wants a player, they`d back him,So n my view Its Wenger`s team,so its Wenger`s fault,he bought in Djourou,Squillachi,Chamack, etc, etc,And in my View ,He knew Fabregas and Nasri were leaving,So why sell them so close to the window closing ? Would Furguson, would Redknapp,NO,they wouldnt have,Wenger should have sold both players in June,Told Barcelona and Man City, either buy by the end of June,or both players will be staying,End OF,so what did we get,Benayoun and Arteta,to replace 2 Class midfielders,NOT GOOD ENOUGH,Arteta looks good,im impreessed with him,Benayoun, sorry in my view if Chelsea dont want him,Why did we ?why didnt we get Parker ? Im sick of Wenger, wanting only to get in the top 4,We are ARSENAL,We Want 1st,or a trophy, year in year out.Sad how we seem to settle for 4th best.Im not asking for Wenger or the tight fisted Board to spend £50 million on one player, but i am them to spend £60-£70 million (which we should have easily, considering all the money Wenger gets from transfers, was told would go back into transfers, since ade, nasri, fab, etc have been sold for huge profits, where is the money ?),on a few good players, id love Wenger to get Baines-£15m, Gourcoff-£10m,Poldolski-£10-£15m,and a Defensive Midfield General,Not much Cash spent, still huge profits for the Directors to spend on castles & yachts,And a team that can Compete with 1St place,Sell the crap off,and lets get back to winning ways, not settling for 4th place,But alas We have Wenger, who`s the most stubborn manager i know, either he changes hes ways or he should go,Cause he and the Board are making the Club i love, become a laughing stock.

Note to Denis,Its obvious you're a spud, the way you go on about the 15 years.I feel sorry for you lot(in a funny way)because we are only just past half way in PL games and you think you have won it.you had better hope you stay in the top 4 at the end of the season, because if you don't,all of your so called star players will want to go to a big club, and everything will be back to normal.Make the most of your short lived success.

"Zenit St. Petersburg look to have edged out Arsenal in the race for Fiorentina wing-back Juan Manuel Vargas, after the Russian champions failed to agree a deal with the Gunners for Andrey Arshavin."

Alex to sign for arsenal in the next 48hrs, with another 3 signing to be recrouted before feburary!

Believable8 Unbelievable28

And you know this how?

Agree4 Disagree1

Why sign another centre back? we have enough already even if vermaelen is out injured, we need fullbacks if anything, our whole attacking play is numb as no outlet on the flanks with our cb's filling in.
makes no sense.

What does 'recrouted' mean?

Agree5 Disagree0

15 days to sign 4 players and in turn shift 2/3 to even up the squad numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahhaha
we took a week to sign a ex player who had been training with us for a month already

Agree9 Disagree0

We have to many centre halfs now , hence y they are having to fill in at full back , we need a left back badly as gibbs never plays 3 games without getting injured! alex would be a good signing iff we could send djourou the other way tho!

Agree5 Disagree1

Alex is signing for QPR mate.

Agree7 Disagree4

Arsenal need to sell or drop a player from EPL squad just so Henry can play beyond 31 Jan. Unless WEnger releases Almuniaand Squallaci or sells Rosicky and Arshavin cheaply there will be no transfer activity

Agree0 Disagree1

Player would rather sign for QPR.. that is really sad :(

Ash

Agree0 Disagree0

"Recrouted" means crouted again after the first crouting has diminished naturally or been decrouted.

Agree2 Disagree0

QPR arent signing alex he doesnt want to go to them and with the defensive problem we need a new centre half who is half decent, squallaci and way out!

Why would some disagree with a link? haha seriously how is it possible to disagree with what is sitting infront of your face, you cant disagree or agree with a link its a gateway you click it and it open lol or unless its board members who are reading the link and disagreeing

Belfastgooner,

alot of people who disagree are muppets from others teams who do it because they think they're clever...

Agree3 Disagree5

Spuds of course!

Agree2 Disagree4

To belfastgooner: sorry, what?
funny you dont complain about the option to AGREE ... lol

if you think about it its not difficult to replace the agree/disagree with a like/dislike semantics...its not rocket science
